Thanks for the birthday wishes! Yes, Alex is quite a guitarist, very under-rated in my personal opinion. He's truly a genius and pioneer of writing Prog Rock Riffs and his open barre chords are awesome! Thanks.
I hv mine a bit less than 2 years maybe. Everything great as u said, even with the narrower nut width. And i got over my initial hangup of not seeing a piezo on it like earlier model. I even grew to love the hot ceramic pickup now. Just a headup here that while i hv other gold pickup guitar, this one is weak. May be I mosturise my hand not a lot only sometimes, but i sweat, the pickup cover suffer discolouration within weeks. But on its own, it is still a 10 to me on playability and sound. The locking nut made sure it almost never goes out of tune. I end up picking up this poly lacquer over my other nitro guitar too because of the ease of mind of maintaining it. I was surprised unlike some gibson, i cant find any tooling mark on the fretboard. Sorry it seem I cant stop singing praises to it. Thats a great gift u received and you will enjoy it even more with time past.
Thanks for sharing your comments here, my friend! I appreciate that you also have experience with this guitar. I have been playing it now for several days (and nights) and I must say that this is one my favorite guitars. I will likely be using it again in my next video guitar lesson. Stay tuned for more and keep on jamming!
Lerxst, good Canadian boy. Beautiful instrument, happy birthday!
