Thank you for sharing this video. It is good to see reviews of older cameras and lenses.

Thank you. Well my thinking is that if one can stay one or three generations behind the currently flagship models you can still get brilliant gear for way less… as long as one knows what to buy.

@@1989Goodspeed You are right!! Since I'm a hobbyist, I am fine with older technology and lower prices.

thanks for the effort and sharing. i have looked for the 35-70/2,8 but so many copies suffer from hazing of the inner lens elements. an alternate mid range zoom option? thumbs up.

Thank you.... Well, there is the Tokina AF 28-70mm f/2.8 AT-X wich is a twist zoom and i think Ken Rockwell have good review of it. Have one myself and it is in my mined a valid option.

Love my D700. No need for a newer camera when you have one of these. 200 ISO? No, this camera will do much better than that. You can push it in some cases to 6400 with modern noise reduction software.

What software to use for noise reduction. Could I use lightroom because I have it, or other software?

@@draganmisic6010 Lightroom does a decent job I would use that. There are other paid programs you can use with AI built in. I pretty much depend on lightroom myself because my shooting at extremely high ISO is pretty limited. If you want more then I would go with Topaz Denoise AI software.

Yes! And again: The D700 is still a great camera! And it will be a great one for further several years! It's a heavy working horse and still producing high quality images! I love it! And the older lenses are still graet too! And that's all to buy for a low price! So there is still enough money to buy some Champagne and high quality food! ;-) Best Reagards from Oldenburg/Germany! It really is a brilliant 12Mp camera, the colour is amazing and it is a FX camera on a budget, but super cool non the less.
