    Thanks Karen! Another great video as usual. I already know some of these phrases and have used them eating out at a Chinese restaurant. If I'm ever in Shenzhen I'll be sure to look you up and lunch will be on me - the least I do for teaching us Mandarin.

    Thanks for the knowledge sharing. How to say, therefore to convince the waiter that we would like to have the authentically spicy and full-flavored dishes instead of the "light' ones? I have encountered and experienced many times that our dishes were made for non-Chinese although we can handle the heat, haha.

    Please can you do a video on ordering for food over the phone (Carryout and Delivering the food). A few days ago, I tried practicing my Chinese by ordering for a carryout from a Chinese restaurant, and couldn't find a word for carryout. I also tried looking for videos on youtube, but there were none. So I just had to try my best 😬

    When to use Liang and Er

    • @elmassi7qam
      @elmassi7qam 4 роки тому +2

      Rafy Aqwa - liang is used to say how many of something for example 2 people or 2 hundreds but er is commonly used counting to 10

  • @nikiwnc3245
    @nikiwnc3245 4 роки тому

    why do we use liang instead of er?

    • @idylledoll
      @idylledoll 3 роки тому

      Because in that context it’s liang. Er is only used if you’re saying it as it’s literal number. Liang is used in referring to two of anything.

  • @saleemchoudry5922
    @saleemchoudry5922 4 роки тому

    Why don't you say èr for two?

    • @idylledoll
      @idylledoll 3 роки тому

      It’s context. You only use er when used in a literal number but liang when referring to how many of something.
