You're a very inspiring guy! My father is an 81 year old Scotsman, and one day, I'll be doing exactly what you are now. 25 acres of land, sheds full of 'handy stuff' dating back to 1992. If you can do it, then so can I! Kind regards to your mum 😊
Even though there is probably so much to do still, I was getting that really tingly sense of finality. You have done so well! Loved the views across the paddocks in the early morning light. Beautiful.
Maybe you could put different shapes and sizes of different bits of steel /bolts nuts ect in buckets and sell em by the kilo to people doing metal art ect you never know might save more from recycling and make a bit of cash 👍🏽👍🏽
That's a very full van Chris, you've done a huge amount again in your short visit, seems very real now I'm sure, at least your Mum knows she's coming back again so it's not a final goodbye just yet ! Loved the atmospheric misty morning artistic shots, you have to take a deep breath and enjoy the calm when you can !
I do love the infinite ♾️ loading loop. If only there were 6 of you... This is the big trip too, not just stuff but a special person as well. I hope the move is smooth for her.
Thanks Kayle - as long as the 6 of us got along, it would be great! 🤣🤣 She's settled in ok, although staying at our place for now until things are a bit more organised.
I downsiized from a huge house to a smaller one about 5 years ago. Sold off so much furniture and stuff, and donated so many clothes. Mum will get set up in her new place and love being close to you. Thanks for taking us along.
What if you had two ramps for the van? Then you wouldn't have to worry about remembering to pack it. There must be some scrap around the farm to make up a functioning ramp.
Yep, good point Rick. I have another large board I could use at home and maybe leave that one there. Although usually it slides in along the side ok 😊👍

Yep, an excellent suggestion and I often do that with old cogs, gears, sprockets etc! People who create do love them and they sell pretty well 😊👍
Although overwhelming, your Mom is a real trooper. Safe travels.
Thanks girle. Yes, she is handling things pretty well really 👍😊

Thanks Andy, yeah early mornings at the farm are generally very nice! She'll probably come back a few times I would think 👍😊

Must be an emotional time for your mum, and all the family. I know you will look after her during her new adventure.
Cheers NN
Thanks NN! Yeah, it's all about practicalities at the moment! I guess we will all think about the 'end of an era' later on when it's all done!

Thanks Cynthia. She's already unpacking and sorting. There's a pile for me to deal with already!
By Jeez the old van was full mate. Lovely artistic shot of the dew in the spider webs Chris. Very peaceful at that time of day.
Yep, full to the brim! Thanks mate. Yes, it's very tranquil early on a still morning 😊😊
Well done on that superb packing 👏🏻👏🏻 I’m pleased your mum is not there on her own now 👍
Thanks Barbara! Yep - it was always a worry that something would happen and my brother & I were so far away!
