Some of these people, like myself, are car enthusiast that don’t want to be bored out of their mind driving their truck. This is the purpose of fast trucks. These people, including myself, sure as hell would rather be in a sports car all day.
Slow boats
C'mon now guys. Aside from playing around on the drag strip, who in their right mind wants to run a 700hp, 6500lb truck that gets terrible gas mileage - as a working truck? Nevermind that it's very expensive, but a Tesla Model 3 is actually faster, and it's a soccer mom car by now.
These things are basically pointless.
But a Tesla doesn’t have the benefits of a truck. I can’t think of anything a Tesla can do the truck can’t with the added benefit of being able to haul more in the truck. It basically just comes down to preference. People don’t go out and by trucks to race them they just love the truck and the added speed is a benefit.
@@513racing7 Yes, they're different products, but I'm not sure it's true that people aren't paying the big premium for a TRX for some kind of drag race bragging right..
You're paying an awfully high price in both MSRP and gas mileage just to go about as quick as a 4 door EV sedan.... but only in a straight line, then when it gets curvy you're in trouble.
Anyway, I'm not confusing trucks with sports cars... that's something others seem to do!!
@@513racing7 Funny thing, just as I replied, a review of the Rivian R1T popped up on C&D with Carlos Lagos.
It has 900hp, four motors, and does the 1/4 in well under 12 seconds...
I wonder how truck buyers will respond to this. There are cheaper versions of it with less power, of course.
@@WestCoastSupercarsandClassics ..TRX makes a wicked hunting truck, nearly unstoppable
I do, I daily it and take it offroading.... Why pay 72k+ for a pavement princess??
Any car down the hill runs faster
TRX needs driver mod
