  • These workings/locations were:
    1. 1Z50 Tame Bridge Parkway to Paignton at Heyford, with two different camera angles.
    2. Same working near Uffington, between Didcot and Swindon. The loco was thrashing away from the loop at Challow after letting two GWR services overtake.
    3. 1Z52 Paignton to Tame Bridge Parkway at Culham. Again the loco was powering well after coming off the Didcot West Curve. The train can still be heard long after it passes the camera!
It was amazing to see the Western out on the mainline again after its successful test runs, including the 'One Way Wizzo' charter. It sounded fantastic and looked amazing with the Blue/Grey rake. The loco was named/numbered D1011 'Western Thunderer' on one side. 50007 'Hercules' (50034 'Furious' on one side) was at the rear of the train to act as a back up loco if needed.
