Ive had one of these for 6 months. Ive put over 1k rounds through it. It eats EVERYTHING without issues. It does have a "break in " to go through. The slide became much smoother with use and cleaning. The same with the trigger smooth to a wall, then nice break. Very accurate, light recoil..... I absolutely love mine!!
I got this exact APX A1 Compact 5 months ago... took it to the range twice so far. As per my experience; yes when it's new everything is stiff!! Loading the mags was extremely difficult, the springs must be v strong. Take down was not easy and even racking the slide was hurtful. After playin around, cleaning and oiling it... it loosens up. This is the easiest takedown model for me. Don't need anything unless you wanna de-cock it or take the modular frame/trigger assembly off then you'll need a small punch :)
supposedly their police in Italy changed to the APX , just from what I have read , the italian police I know have had decent firearms over the years , especially their 70s era machinegun, The Italian Army's social network channel Facebook has published the news of the beginning of the distribution of the new Beretta APX pistol to the departments. ( thats a quote I translated from Italian news )
Nice looking pistol. We can't own them in the UK, but it seems to look a little like a Glock? I can dream I guess , but it seems to be a good one for home defence.
I am surprised some left Tungston STR9c still $150 after rebate or 10 rders str9MC through my camping site go to palm and various places have decent Beretta deals $250 after their Rebate...

Underrated pistol my only complaint is the takedown
So I guess they are all ridiculously hard then to turn the lever down, I forget there wasn't a trick to it was there...
You’re suppose to push the lever down and the button at the same time. I had to use a push pin for it release even after a few hundred rounds
