Some years ago, I had a female employee who I fired for stealing cash from my family business. I called the police to try to recoup some of the money. During the course of their investigation, they discovered she had an outstanding warrant from a different matter and arrested her. From the jailhouse, she called me and told me she was going to get me back. A few months later my uncle, who was my boss at the time, received a notice from the EEOC stating they were opening an investigation into my conduct with the aforementioned employee. In her affidavit, she stated that I had made many advances toward her, had exposed myself to her, and had pinned her against a wall in an attempt to grope her. She also stated that I had stolen the money myself and fired her in retaliation for her lack of enthusiasm for my advances. Of course these were all lies. My uncle and the rest of my family began looking at me differently. I was questioned by them extensively and some of my responsibilities were taken from me. My marriage became strained and I had many heated discussions with my wife about the matter. When the hearing with the judge finally came, the employee didn't even show up. After trying to contact her many, many times, the matter was finally dropped. But I'll tell you this- what came out of her lies permanently damaged my relationship with my family. I soon bought out the rest of the family memebers and now I alone own the business. My wife and I divorced a couple of years later. Whenever someone is willing to listen, I tell them this story. My current wife asked me not to tel it anymore because it embarrasses her., and I understand her position. But I was VICTIMIZED by this woman, just as if I was robbed, beaten, or raped. She did deep, irreparable harm to my reputation and damaged my relationship with my family members. To this day (it's been 10 years), I know they don't look at me the same. I also know that somewhere in a government EEOC file, this complaint is still there, just waiting for the 'next time' someone uses this tactic to get back at me.

As others said, Jeremy was amazing on Entourage. Incredibly talented. Also, he shops at the store some of my female friends work at and they’ve all said he’s incredibly nice, humble and a joy to talk to. And yeah, get him on Rogan, WTF???
Who would have ever thought that the movie PCU would be so realistic LOL. I love him as an actor. He can play a dbag friend in one movie but a great BF in the next.
He was the backbone and foundation of Entourage. He carried the show and is by far the most memorable aspect of it. At least to me. Thank you for some of the most gut busting laughs I have had in years J.
+Me Here You There. Just because he is discussing these unjust events? Not everybody needs a podcast just because they are disclosing something that’s interesting, albeit current. Settle down.
It's the pendulum. Happens about every 80 years. From "Me Generations" to "We Generations." At the height of the "We" cycle we have witch hunts. For 3000 years of recorded history there have been no exceptions, the only thing that changes is the "witch." The Salem Witch Trials, communism hunts in the U.S... Hitler..all of those events and countless others happen at the height of the "we" cycle. We swing back to the "me" cycle in 40 years. It's actually really interesting and there's a book called "Pendulum" that outlines it. Scary af though at how accurate it is and how bad it can get when we don't peak for this until 2023.
Back in 1992, I was 22 years old. In my prime, nice looking young man, did. I worked in a hospital while attending community college. I had a large black woman as my boss, and she had a boss over her. She used to hit on me every day. Obsessively. Her comments got worse and worse. Revolting really. Shed talk about things she'd do to me, etc. It got to where I hated going to work because it was just constant and uncomfortable. I asked my mom what to do, and she suggested reporting her to her boss. If anything, to cover myself in case she ever lied or tried to accuse me. So I did. Her boss fired me. She said "get over yourself. You think because you're a good looking guy, every woman wants you? I'm sure you're making assumptions " Fired me. Come to find out, they were friends. Took turns babysitting each other's kids. So much for white privilege. So much for male privilege.
You realise that 'privilege' doesn't mean that nothing bad will ever happen to you, right? Based on what you wrote, what happened to you was bad and shouldn't have happened. Doesn't disprove any privilege that may exist. IMO
And it's so weird too. I didn't like Ari Gold because he was an asshole, but underneath he was a family man who would go to war for his friends/family. If I remember correctly there were also a lot of moments that made him human. For example when he had to go to his son's principle home and literally get on his knees and beg so that his son could have a good education.
summer18 to be fair I’ve heard on other podcasts prior to any of this me too stuff that Jeremy was a huge dirtbag when it comes to girls. Trying to fuck other comics girls
Jeremy Piven was blackballed by Hollywood? Awesome, his stock just went up as far as I am concerned. Jeremy Piven playing George Costanza on Seinfeld was absolutely priceless.
As men, we need to stand up for what is fair. That means not backing a pos who abuses his power... But also that we don't automatically throw people under the bus.
Pretty sure most decent man already do that, it's not some revelation. In this case Piven had like 6+ separate women accusing him, going back to the 80's. Not saying he's guilty, but I'm not of the mind that all accusers are gold-digging whores. The problem is, either way, non-penetrative sexual assaults are always going to be very difficult to prove in a court of law as there were no witnesses for any of the accusations, so it's going to be difficult to prove/disprove.
I've seen this guy as characters, as well as bio documentary. I love him for his craft as well as just who he is. Thank you Jeremy for putting yourself out there. I received witness to your career where I found it crossed with my life. You have made me laugh, think, and cringe. I have hope you kick in a door to keep doing what you love. Keep your faith and never give up. Fan of the man, thank you.
I never watched entourage, but I remember piven from waaay back in judgment night with Emilio, Cuba, and Leary. Great film. Best comedic performance? The goods. Highly underrated film. Makes anchorman look like a PBS special.
I've been a fan of Jeremy Piven since PCU and I hope he bounces back. A friend of mine worked on the set of Entourage and he said that Jeremy is fucking awesome. He said that when he met Jeremy Piven, JP was was super nice, treated him with respect and that he was funny. The Goods and Smoking Aces are two of my favorite movies of all time.
There were actually people who signaled outrage that Sam Rockwell was Oscar nominated for his role in 3 Billboards because his character was racist. I saw the comments on the web. People who can't distinguish between an actor and a role, I'd use that as the IQ test that determines who lives.
Jesus look at you's, worse than the media rn with your assumptions😂 speculating on a 15 min convo. Maybe he was choosing his words carefully. Maybe he was nervous to mess up and say the wrong thing. Maybe it has affected him so much he's trying to hold back emotions. If we're gonna speculate, do it from both sides. Did you take nothing from the video? 😂🤦🏾♂️
Jeremy you'll have your chance again man! Keep doing these podcast shows to tell your story. Great to see you again and thanks for Andrew having you on the show!
Maybe in some indie flicks, problem is that studios won't put down the money if he is in the movie. Hopefully time helps him but dude is in his prime right now so this is unfortunate for him and for us. Stand up special or even clips would be cool to see but I assume it's going to take some years to hone his talent to make a special.

I think a big part of the problem is that there are no consequences for false accusations.
There have been a few cases where false accusers were convicted. It needs to happen more now.

Great movie! Great acting! Thank you for giving me the trip back memory lane!
Say Anything...
Don't kill anybody for a few days; see what it feels like !
He was already an established professional way before Entourage. He will weather this storm and be back on top soon.
I hope he will. It's crazy how people think actors are their character 😕. Messed up !!
"The Goods, Sell Hard" is one of my favorite Piven movies!!
Love that movie and never met a soul that has seen it and appreciated it.
Don 'The Goods' Ready.. one of my favorites... such an underrated movie
@@gabesantos4588 oh I appreciate it for sure! some of Kathryn Hahn’s best work

As others said, Jeremy was amazing on Entourage. Incredibly talented. Also, he shops at the store some of my female friends work at and they’ve all said he’s incredibly nice, humble and a joy to talk to. And yeah, get him on Rogan, WTF???
It’s shocking that Piven has not went in Rogans podcast . I mean, they would hit it off well and so much to talk about
Loved Jeremy in PCU, Cupid, Grosse Point Blank, almost everything he’s ever done. He’s a great actor!
Me too , yet his soft leftism didn't save him.
@@johnmac9572 Why doesn't he try work with Gibson & Vaughan? They've been ostracised for being conservative. They make some great shit.
When was he brought down by me too movement ?
GIVE ME THE KEYS TO MY FIREBIRD!!!
Who would have ever thought that the movie PCU would be so realistic LOL. I love him as an actor. He can play a dbag friend in one movie but a great BF in the next.
Jermey Piven always killed it entourage. The show was always about vinnie chase and the chasers but every time piven was on he stole the scene.
Ari was only supposed to be like a minor side character, but Piven’s brilliance made him the star of the show.
He was the backbone and foundation of Entourage. He carried the show and is by far the most memorable aspect of it. At least to me. Thank you for some of the most gut busting laughs I have had in years J.
Johnny Drama was pretty 🔥 too though 😂
@@Carelock agree 100%!
He is actually a very articulate speaker, who tells his story very well.
My boy was in Heat!! Had to give up his shirt to Deniro!

It was a fathers day gift.
Heat was my movie
@Hyper Trophy Winner Lmfao!!!!!!
I know it was a mistake when he smiled taking it off, but most people didn't catch it
Remember when Jeremy Piven used to look like George Costanza in the 90s
joshua anderson I was just thinking that.. Trying to envision him once again as a baldie
He actually did play George Costanza in the show "Jerry". He redid the scene '"i think it moved". He also wore sweatpants to the reading.
MrJoefizzy I know, that’s what I’m talking about. He really looked like that tho, it wasn’t just for Seinfeld
joshua anderson haha Word, quality hair plugs he looks younger now

Ari and Lloyd, the only reason that show has staying power.
Don’t forget about all the unprotected sex with only one noteworthy impregnation throughout the entire run.
LLLLLOOOOOYYYYYDDDDDD!

Kevin Dillon was great as drama . He was just always overshadowed by piven

🤣😂
Interesting! I was rubbing mine while watching this. My beard that is...just to be clear! 😂

I read your comment and was like "were they?" looked up and dude was touching he's beard..
I never thought I’d see mobs hunting witches in the modern era.
The mob are the witches. We live in "mirror world" where everything is inverted.
Why not? Human nature doesn't change.
Yes same goes for "shoot the messenger" just look at how they treat Snowden or Assange
Were you not around the past 4 years? Every day the media mob hunted Trump.
Thank you! Loved hearing from Piven. He will rise again.
Jeremy Piven was a great supporting character actor. He was terrific in Gross Point Blank, one of the most underrated movies ever
10 years!!!! 10 fucking years man!!!!
Gross Point Blank was a great film. He has worked a few times with John Cusack. He feels bit sorry for himself here and sounds out of it. Shame.
@Tessa Rossa 😂😂😂😂 unbelievable scene and comedic timing with his lines
@Tessa Rossa you are beautiful by the way 😍
I want to see this Jeremy Piven in a movie. Soft-spoken vice cop, at the end of his rope, but calm and cool the whole time.
I love this idea! I want to see a shy, quiet insecure Jeremy on screen
I'm sure you're making assumptions "
Fired me.
Come to find out, they were friends. Took turns babysitting each other's kids.
So much for white privilege.
So much for male privilege.
Fuck those creeps, you’re better off out of there anyway.
@@zepho100 That's not the point is it. He lost his job. Maybe he needed it.
Maybe they should have been fired and he got to keep his job.
@@gondwanaland9 sure, in an ideal world.
You realise that 'privilege' doesn't mean that nothing bad will ever happen to you, right? Based on what you wrote, what happened to you was bad and shouldn't have happened. Doesn't disprove any privilege that may exist. IMO
Damn they got Ari gold. wtf is wrong with hollywood!
summer18 no better show than entourage he killed it
And it's so weird too.

Jeremy Piven playing George Costanza on Seinfeld was absolutely priceless.
On "Jerry"
Damn forgot that one lmao
Somehow, he even looked like George.
Piven looks 6 weeks into a coke n jack daniels binge...everyday
Spot on with that. I would know, been there.
when he was banging teenage girls back in 2005 and snorting coke off their bellies, he should have been preparing for the day they throw you out

As men, we need to stand up for what is fair. That means not backing a pos who abuses his power... But also that we don't automatically throw people under the bus.
@Akshay Kumar Just because New generation boy's, were raised on estrogen and vagina envy...
Doesn't mean Real Men don't exist.
Jeremy Piven is a gem. His acting in Entourage remains unforgettable to this day
Ari screaming out “LLOYD!!!!” was always my favorite part of the show 🤣
Whats crazy is he looks like Ari during one of his breakdowns on Entourage

I've been a fan of Jeremy Piven since PCU and I hope he bounces back. A friend of mine worked on the set of Entourage and he said that Jeremy is fucking awesome. He said that when he met Jeremy Piven, JP was was super nice, treated him with respect and that he was funny. The Goods and Smoking Aces are two of my favorite movies of all time.
Just crappy punch line after punch line. Shirts too small on guys too small. Lame
There were actually people who signaled outrage that Sam Rockwell was Oscar nominated for his role in 3 Billboards because his character was racist. I saw the comments on the web. People who can't distinguish between an actor and a role, I'd use that as the IQ test that determines who lives.

Piven's talent will get him back in the zone....no doubt.
Maybe in some indie flicks, problem is that studios won't put down the money if he is in the movie.
