Lloyd was a key part of the development of Ari as a character in the show. You guys did great
I swear this duo is easily one of the best to have ever done it! Hands down.
Best dynamic duo ever!
Walter White & Jesse Pinkman, Larry David & Jeff Green then Ari & Lloyd
Although Ari Gold might be the best tv character ever!
how about Michael & Dwight?
The episode where Lloyd drives Ari home and gave him a memorable motivational speech to him clinched him as a series regular all the way to the end and the movie...he stole that episode.
The episode where Lloyd drives Ari home and gave him a memorable motivational speech to him clinched him as a series regular all the way to the end and the movie...he stole that episode
I think what worked was it was better than assigning the role to any female character they could write -- Ari had constant tension between his wife and the Dana Gordon character. Those two were perfectly casted and it would have cheapened things if there was some Mad Men esque workplace temptation. It was almost believable Ari would hire Lloyd for that very reason
My favorite Lloyd moment is, "I Believe In You Johnny Drama, I believe'
Rex was a master on Entourage - he played Llyod so perfectly. Ari and Llyod were everything on the show
Lloyd*
Don't forget the scenes with his wife at the psychiatrists.
They weren't everything. Clam tf down.
Just rewatched the entire show , holds up 100%. Kudo boys will continue to watch and hope for another movie
Once a year I binge the entire series
@@jason916they should definitely pick up the show again, let’s see what entourage is up to in 2024
@lt8753 I just rewatched it for the first time from start to finish, but the show had a big drop off at the end imo. I really hated that ari wife left him. Also it was a shame when Loyd became an agent his role went to bassically cameos.
same here... classic stuff.. last 2 seasons fell off a bit but the first 3-4 were... GOLDen.. hahah
The first 5 seasons (I included season 5 cause Drama was hilarious that entire season) were tv GOLD!
By the way, Rex, met you in Vegas playing slots several years ago - you were wonderful, took a moment to take a pic with my mother in law. I thanked you then and will always be grateful for what you’ve done to broaden the way we Asian males are seen by the world. Not only did you break some stereotypes, but you created layers of humanity for the world to see!
Absolutely! A wonderful example of the Asian male.
They both played their characters brilliantly. I enjoyed every scene with them both in and Ari really did love Lloyd.
This a wholesome conversation! Amazing to see you both together [calm down Lloyd] after all these years. I discovered Entourage with a friend whilst deployed on the frontline. Any spare downtime we had was spent watching it. It was the perfect escape from the grim reality that faced outside. Each episode was something to look forward to and was the exact dose of humour and love that we needed in such times. What Rex said about the fans is so relatable, the journey of the series is so profound that real fans arn't fans, we're family. A great testiment to the cast, the writing and the rare magic that was the time of Entourage. I think you are both right, with a strong enough backbone and enough creative conviction, the entourage world and characters could absolutly come back to life and if it doesn't, it will always be pure GOLD.
Ari is my favorite character of all time. The dynamic between him and Loyd made for phenomenal TV. Jeremy is one of the best actors of all time. Please bring back Entourage, and do more movies! I know they tried to cancel him, but we all know he didn't do what he was accused of. Thank you for everything you've done for us.
Entourage ultimately being about friendship, the introduction of Lloyd gave a second and wholly different view on it. It was a master stroke.
Wow,,,,,this interview was so real ,it really lets people know how GREAT these actors are! Glad I participated in this,as a viewer! GREAT SHOW!!!
What a great chemistry and set of skills you both brought to entourage, love you guys to death. LLYOD!!!!!
Lloyd*
Just rewatched the whole show again and I’m happy I searched this up! Love it
The give and take between Ari and Lloyd was the funniest part of Entourage
“He’s can’t be that good, so he must be that character naturally” such a good line and I fell for it myself before I met Jeremy in person in London. Sometimes actors are jus that damn good. Bravo Piven 👏
Jeremy Piven is such a performer and so charismatic, can't help being the natural star, Rex is more subtle.... equally charismatic.....just more laid back.....great interview
It’s a shame to see his talent wasted on online gambling commercials
Is that a toupee or what is going on with Piven's hair?
@@JB-sh2mm He's got to pay the bills just like the rest of us, that's life as an actor, can't always be an artist
@@chriscorey1871 He got a hair transplant a few years ago I read somewhere, and I think his hair loss is an on going battle for him
@@MsTaraf He has to be paid up from Entourage, no?
Lloyd and Ari, apart from the boys, were easily the best part of this show. Both of them nailed their parts. I always really liked Ari and Mrs. Gold's interactions as well. The woman who played his wife was phenomenal. I didn't watch the show while it was on, unfortunately. I watched it during the pandemic. I damn near cried when i realized that I had almost watched the whole show. I've watched it again since. Once in a generation show. None like it.
Interesting. FOr me, they actually eclipsed the boys in terms if anticipation of appearance on the show. By the end I only cared about seeing Ari
Go watch the movie now.
6:32 - MAN, I miss this beautiful time when we could hear this on a TV show! Sense memory back to Sunday night watching Entourage hearing Jeremy say this.
Facts man. RIP this era of TV
Honestly it's where the pinnacle of acting is at, and where the professionalism of it comes from.
You know it's professional when you can sit and have lines like that yelled at you for several seasons and sit there calmly and just take it while even making your own observations of where this character is coming from in your head. That's what makes Rex so awesome at this! They really couldn't have fired him if they wanted to, they'd have to call him right back in a week when someone less qualified comes around🤣
Hmm funny, kinda like the in-show relationship between these two huh? :p
Very well said.. We’ve all been hurt in life and if you cling on to those pains, they’ll forever be in the way.
These guys have great chemistry, they could totally carry a new entourage get rid of the previous rat pack and bring in a new group! It could done and I would love to see it!
They literally could do that..premise being around Miller/Gold. The guest appearances would be endless and of course you could bring back Vince/Drama etc. from time to time.
That's actually a really good idea. Surprised they haven't done that yet.
I want a lot more from the rest of the OG cast personally. Vince, Turtle, Drama, E.
great point actually
Yes yes
Jeremy Piven made entourage so good ,without him in it the show would of not been good ,the man killed it for 8 years
It was ari and drama for me. I actually watched the show beginning to end for the first time, and I thought Vince was a spoiled brat, turtle was ok for filler and comedic relief. E was annoying because he was the voice of reason to Vince his idiotic behavior. But drama was amazing and stole every scene where the boys where together. Fot the rest Ari was, like you said the showrunner and almost felt like the A plot compared to the boys.
@@danilonden3782 Ditto, just rewatched it. Ari and Drama were the stars.
LOOOOOOYD!!!
Thanks for the good times you two. Amazing relationship and I really felt it towards the end of the show. Great job.
Fantastic to see you guys together thank you. Would have liked to have heard a lot more from Lloyd. Jeremy as much as i love hearing you talk, please ask your guest more questions and then quietly listen. Then you get the magic!
My two favorite "team" actors ever. Thanks to both of you for giving me belly laughs that still hurt to think about. The timing of these exchanges is comedic genius.
Lloyd ! “What the fuck is a woo woo”…….you know “ woo woo “……hilarious, thanks you two for all of the great entertainment.
These 2 were so well written and they hit it out of the park scene after scene
why is it not trending with millions of views? legendary duo!
Gosh I would love a sequel of just Ari and Lloyd in the agent business
Lloyds line "You just were" when he asked Ari for a promotion and was told Ari would not be strong-armed , was one of TV's best ever.
I love this interview! Both Rex and Jeremy are so great and these behind the scenes views are so amazing to hear this! Thanks you both!
The thing about yelling Lloyd all the time is because I think in the series, the character of Lloyd was the way to show the audience how Ari really was a really great guy that was just afraid to show it cause he actually cared too much.Lloyd was the one guy who could see through him and stand there to take the punishment in order for Ari to show it.Its a homage to both of your character growth(Ari,Lloyd)
P.S.Bring back ENTOURAGE!!
I would also love Ari & LIoyd back. But doubtfully it would work these (unfortunately woke) days, aside from it working for nostalgic fans like myself.
So I never knew anything about Entourage I just found it I couldn't stop watching it it was great I never laughed so much in my life
You two are the reason I tuned in when you guys were airing weekly. Love you two so much!!
Their relationship was the best part of the show, for me. Loved these two!
Entourage is easily is my Top 3 favorite series ever.
The scene where he takes the dog from Lloyd to give to Jessica Simpson and says "cook something else for dinner!" I think I laughed for 30 minutes after that
outstanding work! sr, Piven. it very refreshing to see two very influential people on a hole generation . Mahalos Alooha.
Fantastic duo. What a joy it was to watch them work together.
Great chat gentlemen.. thank you 🙏 😊
Just finished my 6th binge of the show and finally finished it with the movie. Loved it all.
Just rewatched everything including the movie. Thanks for everything!
10:45 One key piece to that line after you said that you couldn't promise it was "But I will say sorry after..." best duo in TV history. Next up is Arya and The Hound lol
Ari and Lloyd are one of my all time favorite TV duos. Especially how they evolved together
Love that we can see your foot in this!!! Stepped up your game indeed!!! LOL
Loved you both in Entourage. Such a great chemistry and so interesting to see you guys interacting "IRL" .
I suddenly feel like binge-watching from season 1 again... :D
Lllooooooooyd!!!
Jeremy is the greatest ever, he is the reason why every episode of the Entourage was on point
I didn't even know Jeremy Piven had a pod cast. Im saving this so i can hear it later.
I'm so in-love with Piven and I love Rex too.
Listening to this conversation, this podcast episode, replenished my soul. It was refreshing, nostalgic, entertaining … perfection.
I didn’t know this podcast existed. Can’t wait to listen to the rest.
What an empty soul
@@JamesWyatt-o5j it use to be
You both played your rolls too well. When Rex was "In character" he was so convincing that even Jeremy wondered if the lines of that day were too offensive! LMAO
And visa-versa, Jeremy nailed his character to the point of the media attacking him "in real life" for playing that role! LMMFAO
BRAVO to you both!
How these two didn’t end up with a spin off is beyond me. One of the top duos in the history of television.
I just finished Entourage for probably the tenth time. One of the best series ever made.
Ari Gold may be the perfect character for today’s world. There are many people who are fundamentally good hearted, but their details are flawed. As a society, we should always allow, encourage, and support a fellow human being with good fundamentals to work on their details. Otherwise the world writ large loses out. JP, the world has lost because we have limited your opportunities to practice your craft for us. Not sure if this helps to say, but I know I’m not the only one to know this. Keep the faith. The world often times sees the error of its ways, and when it does, we will be grateful if you again put yourself out there. This pod is a good start!
I know nothing about rex after this show... but I know everything about Jeremy now.
Piven is actually a great host..Grettings from Croatia ,we loved entourage couse of ARi
Not all young Americans have lost they’re minds. I’m 37 and my 16 year old daughter loves entourage as well. Bring entourage back plz.
lost their minds? that's a reach lol I love Entourage and rewatch it for its nostalgia and because I find the background work one puts in in the film industry interesting but I wouldn't blame people watching it for finding it on the extreme end of misogynist tv shows. Ari would literally talk about "sexually harassing" (used the exact words) female assistants to get them to quit, women were silent dolls who would sit around for accessory and when they did speak most of them had flat characters, tone deaf writing when interacting with black people shows how the writers were unfamiliar with anything besides white men ( they did improve later on) , the worst was Ari talking to (I think) Turtle or E about getting a girl and asking if he roofied her to get her....people looked at Rick Ross' lyrics sideways when he said something similar....
It doesn’t surprise me to hear Jeremy talk about Mike Tyson that way. He is such a great person when he opens up. He’s so humble and nice. I feel blessed to have met him.
Btw, I told both Mike and Jackie Chan that they were lucky to have worked with Jeremy! (True Story!)
Anyways: great to see you guys reunited again! Your chemistry on set was absolutely amazing. You guys made me want to watch Entourage again! (For the like 10456th time!)
These two together are awesome. They made Entourage.
Lol the Roman commercial did it for me…fking hilarious…🤣🤣😂🤣been Always a fan…
Lloyd was always so loyal to Ari despite everything and I think that just took their relationship to a new level. Especially when he was the only one to walk out with Ari after he was fired by Terrence.
Piven, what's up. James Duncan here. I'm a huge fan and love Ari Gold in Entourage I've watch all seasons over and over.
I remember seeing you in the movie One Crazy Summer. One of my faves.
I was wondering if you could do a podcast on how you got started in acting?
Rex was an absolute joy to watch on entourage. He balanced the crudeness of the show perfectly
JEREMY PIVEN'S A STUD ACTOR!!! . . . . .
Gotta respect the guy. Like damn, he's definitely paid his dues, earning his stripes doing small bit parts earlier in his career.....playing one of John Cusack's goof-ball buddies in "Say Anything' in the 80's, playing an off-the-clock dubious "Doc" in 'Heat' in the 90's etc.
In spite of his huge, massive popularity of 'Entourage', he remains a hard-working, humble, grateful, beautifully likeable dude.
God bless you brother.
Love & Repect________mykey from toronto
It's crazy that Rex Lee hasn't got more starring roles, considering the DEI culture in Hollywood today.
Love you guys! Thanks for this stroll down memory lane ❤
you are the best, I'm waiting for the sequel, everyone is waiting
You're a great actor, I hope you find your lane and get back onto the big screen
I'm driving home in a model car from the fast and the furious, I just dont see it Lloyd" lmao still my favorite line of all time
Can't believe Jeremy's toes are just out and ready to play... for freeee lol.
Seriously though love these two.
This is my favorite episode of the podcast so far
This duo was my favorite characters in this whole show.
I’m glad I found the podcast. I really miss seeing you guys.
A show about Ari and Loyd being agents would be AMAZING. One can wish
Dude I thought this was gonna be some fake click bait video holy shit it’s real🥲 legendary 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m a straight black man & I always fwd loyd he’s hilarious
Absolutely top tier chemistry between these two. Great actors
I don’t know how I found this but I’m literally binge watching the show right now. I’ve binged this show at least 10 times over the years because it was THE best show next to the Sopranos. Ari’s character was probably the most iconic character we had seen in years and I was always surprised that it never went anywhere after the show ended. Obviously it can’t now. I do wish we’d see more of Jeremy Piven. Not sure why he’s been MIA. Love him in anything he did. What even happened to this channel??
Why this doesn’t have a 10 million views yet!
swear to god you two are absolutely top 10 duo in any show or film history , fu*k pc and cancel culture Jeremy you the GOAT , much love from Iran 💯
Brilliant actors. Performed great.
Boy, did they ever make history. GOLD. No pun intended. I miss this show
Crazy I’m Rewatching Entourage ..in Season 5 Now Lol LLOOOOOOOYD
Love your broadcast bro, well done.
Love this podcast but Jeremy you barely let Rex speak lol this was more of Jeremy talking bout himself lol
There was more love and positivity from Ari and Lloyd than anything you see in today's media or government establishments.
I'm so glad they kept Rex. He became one of mine and my wife's favorite characters. My wife hated Ari, but I fucking loved him and Lloyd's relationship.
definitely one of the best duos indeed on the tele love entourage
I just watched entourage again for the 3rd time still a classic
They were so amazing! I loved the Adam Davies punch episode they were so simpatico
Cool, now I’ve got a new podcast to listen to. I’ve been stuck in Japan for going on 3 years now and this is the kind of podcast I’ve been needing.
Perfect opportunity for Jeremy to be like "as well they should be!"
LLOYD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! awesome stuff love you both!!!!
I always have a little chuckle whenever the roman commercials come on, I mean - its really well written and funny - BUT it's because all I can think of is Jeremy & Luda as Roman & Mickey in Rocknrolla haha
Amazing Podcast and interview! I love how I just ran into this but wish I’ve known about your podcast earlier. Big fan, great work, you are STILL entertaining! Get more guests, bring it back!
This apologetic backpedaling runs against the unvarnished portrayals that made Entourage so fun.
JP your amazing in everything 🙌❤️
Great conversation! Thank you for sharing with the rest of us. Stay Gold!
My goodness I love this podcast
I was also thinking of a series like The Love Boat. Ari and Lloyd take LA - one Agent from Hell - that would be you JP😅😅😅😅
Both of the characters were awesome.
