It sounds like you have some valid issues with your service provider's payment options and their customer service (which apply to every phone). I bought a fold 6 from Samsung directly and they're giving me $1000 credit for my fold 4, gave me an extra $100 for pre-ordering early, bumped up the storage to 512GB for free, and gave me some discounts on accessories. All that said, I do agree that it's not worth it for most people. The ultra line has a better screen, better battery, better cameras, better durability and lower cost. After 17 years of slab-style (candybar style?) phones, folds and flips are the most innovative thing to happen to smartphones since the iphone. If you can't just buy one outright with insurance, then you shouldn't own one.
I recommend getting a skin for your device and adding a kickstand or pop socket to the back. This will allow you to comfortably hold it with one hand and easily prop it up to watch movies and more. I’m using the fold fix now definitely a happy camper. It’s not a perfect phone but definitely a more funnier phone
The reason why the Fold 4 has the (what I like to call) the bad smile, is because the sealant strips came loose inside and are jammed in the hinge. The fold 5 improves on that.
If you've had all of the folds, that means that you haven't used one for more than a year straight. Any phone with a foldable screen isn't going to stand the test of time, as they can be permanently damaged with a FINGERNAIL. If you don't get a new phone every year, a foldable is just a bad phone because it WILL break with regular use. I see no value in a phone that won't last even a year. I've seen a friend go through 2 z flips and they start falling apart at the crease in 3 months or less. I'm sticking with a slab, and I think you're dimmwtted lmao.

If you are a dim-witted simpleton that only wants a slab than that's good for you. no Idea how your fiend managed to do that i have several friends that have flips and they install solar panels and beat the living holy jesus out the phone and its still fine. I also regularly drop my folds with no issues tough the body gets quite beat up. Again my issue was just with the dust infiltration due to being in attics and other construction areas a lot but that's fixed now baby. I've read lots of commenters saying the hinge was just a problem with the Fold 4. Apparently they fixed it with the Fold 5 and continued the better hinge in the Fold 6 now. You should trade-in your Fold 4 for a Fold 6 or S24 variant. I think the S24+ is the best phone currently, since the S Pen is a gimmick that wastes space in the chassis of the Ultra.
iva had a fold 3 for 3 years now and haven't had any issue at all the only complain i have with Samsung in general is there really not that much difference from the 3 to the 6

So sorry to hear about your issues, I really am 😢. But on the other hand (I don't take side), my in-law has Z Fold2 and it's still last till this date. You must have a bad unit somehow. Most of the reviews I've read ( UA-cam or others - the Z Fold has very positive reviews). Do keep in mind that all phones are dedicate hardware, fragile, and must be handle with care (please don't throw it) . Good luck on your next phone.

If you just went to Samsungs' site or even looked at all their advertisements, you would see that it's worth $1000 trade in no matter the condition. Its a gimmick, however, its also a quite useful gimmick, as the phone will handle all the daily driver needs. From work loads, to reading. However, the hinge is a major problem....then there's the crease that you will ALWAYS notice. Honestly, get the flip ones, at least the gimmick is classic and cheaper.
That's weird. They test the heck out of the folds hinge. Dust or sand gets in, it does a pretty good job with not having it go in completely, and hinge still works. The 6 I hear is an improvement with thinness, weight and some minor improvements. But the fold isnt for everyone. Im still tempted in getting one soon.
Rule number one ever buy carrier phones, buy them directly from Samsung, you could still get $1200 trade till the 31st, Fold 4 is $1000 trade in. The fold is for business consumers, road warriors, not your average people.

Personally these are great phones, the amount of variety is great on them. Caneras may not be the best, but they get it done. As far as failures I had pixel failure on my fold 4 in the vrease butbthey refunded me. So samsung is decent on the replacement factor. I still rocks with the fold. Best bet to buy is to trade in with samsung. Thats why i buy firectly from them. Never finace with cell phone carriers youll be paying for phones for forever.

I went to Verizon when I was getting a new phone and I wanted a foldable phone but the recommend against it as when it fails which it will they don't have the tech to fix it and aren't trained to fix it. So they have to send it out to get it fixed to samsung or another company who can fix it. The hinge will go eventually and they are not tested enough to get one. When they get all the specs down and it's like an iPhone every year I will get one but till then no thank you

I heard so much bad about the Folds, Charge time, Hinge issues, Screen issues, Overheating if you run anything demanding on it. I really wanted to because it looks cool but im not about to scam myself. Maybe one day.. When you dont pay for the gimmick but for the power. Fold 6 is one of the worst Folds out there right now as well which did not help in getting it either. All the other folds that are releasing this year have better specs - the AI.
I have never heard about the overheating or charge time issues. Just if you get sht in the hinge and the screen is not as durable. But once you ready to upgrade the 6 and on should all be awesome devices it seem they have worked out all the bs.... My issue on all my folds was the dust but they have the dust rating on the 6 now. Still dont understand how th is man let verison scam him out $2500. Even the 6 512 aint that expensive....

Waiting over an hour for it to charge is probbably not an issue for most people but its not really good for others. Its on the same snapdragon and the bigger screen obviouly eats more. I dont think its possible for them to ever be faster than Ultra. They do overheat in demanding games on max(i check everything before purchase) Ultra too but it takes some time to kick in. It is getting real close tho! Another issue that drove me away from it is honestly the competition. If most of the competition is releasing folds with better specs and cheaper.. its not really making me want to spend that much on it. I will once again wait for fold to release and decide after. Wish they released them at the same time.
