I love the Chorus because it says, "I reflect you, reflect me." Meaning whatever choices you make in the game reflects off of you, off of who and how you are in real life.
which is genius but also somewhat unfair given how in the game there are times where you kinda "need" to act in a way "you" dont WANT to or wouldnt in real life...

Thinks of my attempts at a peaceful revolution. Ended up rushing concentration camps in a D day like battle. (Alice and Kara were inside and Luthor was dead with Conner at the tower saving Hank) That escalated quickly.
I was peaceful but when I was pushed to the limit I killed some humans and Connor became deviant and survived Kara Alice and Luther survived and Markus survived as well so some times fighting back can be good
I agree, but I'd originally thought it meant, I reflect you human, you, human reflect me, we're alike. We're equal. But your take on it is really great too. No reason both can't be true.
That's a different way of interpreting it. The way I thought was "I reflect you" as in androids talking to humans like "I act like how you act, I reflect your actions. If you be nice to me I'll be nice to you, if you attack me I'll attack you." That's why this is such a cool song. Everyone can interpret it in their own way.

Most people's choices are affected by their fear of making the wrong choice, and not being able to undo it. Without that fear we can make whatever choices we really want, so it shows what a person is like underneath the facade everyone else sees.

This song is genius. The first verse, how the keys change but you, the singer, keep the robotic tone really depicts how Connor was deviant-like from the start, but persistent that he was still a machine designed to accomplish a task.
Then "Is there more purpose for which I'm made," begins in dual tone, depicting the moment when their programs and will interfere, and at "Shaking the pack as I deviate," your voice becomes human, just like the deviants becoming humans. The second verse depicts of how purposeless Androids feel when they become deviant (we realize this when we meet the 28 Stab Wounds Android, still hiding where he was living), then after asking existential questions (To be, or not to be? Do these thoughts belong to me? Choices, are they up to me? Why, when, where, what do I want to be?), they find their purpose: to be free.
And they start a mutiny (Now see the beauty in Mutiny). And at the end, "I can die and I can bleed," refers to the "Our blood isn't the same color." Really beautiful song, ty.

if you've actually played the game you would know that he has different coloured eyes after being thrown into the android junkyard for trying to protect his owner, meaning some of his parts were removed and he had to replace them, including the eye.

This a truly one of JT’s greatest songs up there with the ones for New Vegas, Battlefield 1, and Metro Exodus. One of the great things about this song is not only the lyrics but the irregular time signature being 5/4. It is used in this song is truly amazing, it sounds almost like regular 4/4 but with one or 2 notes stretched out which I interpret as a robot stuttering which if it is the true reason it is used that way is truly genius. There should be more songs in irregular time signatures. But would those time signatures be irregular if they were used more often,
