Hey Mike, glad to be featured in one your vids ! To add context, my friend and I were the first team you encountered when you approached the boss lair. We have a habit of always bringing at least a sticky to dish out huge damage to the boss and cycle fast to the remaining one. We also play a mix of long distance/close quarters load outs hence the vetterli handled by my friend and the pushy double shotgun on my part. I was literally freaking on discord when I saw your name tag when you downed me, this fight was pretty epic ! Cheers

@@Fischly007 some people keep an eye on the time and make conclusions from that. when there is less than a minute left they can guess that the hunter is going to die for example. so Mike protects people from spoilers with adding a conclusion, recap, etc. so people cant assume anything when they see the remaining time.
Your channel inspired me to try my hand on solo vs 3s and stick it out. My last game I almost wiped a whole team but the last one chased me with a shovel and bonked me. While I was disappointed, my heart was racing and it was the most intense game I’ve played. Loved it!

Keep trying! It took me three engagements to get my solo trio kill. The first time, I couldn't hit the second hunter with melee because he was standing on a haystack. The second time, I killed all the bounty carriers, but traded with the last guy. The third time, I got lucky and was able to rush a team at Salters Pork who just finished fighting against two other trios and was therefore not expecting me.

@@theyfearme1379 Yep, whole things been way to shady for me to even consider it. If the rumors of the vaccines being intentionally useless without monthly jabs is true... I wouldn't be surprised. Big Pharma is all about making money, not cures. Forcing a next to useless vaccine on as many people as possible for free, and then charging those people for a monthly "booster" sounds completely plausible to me. Not giving up my health or my money for a human anti-virus software.
I think it's fitting if such a high level Hunter has to die it should be by the weapon that Hunter is using a hunter who uses a crossbow dies to a crossbow

I like the recap at the end. It kinda brings to light just how many kills the hunter accumulated overall. Don't know about everyone else but sometimes it can blure all together for me, and this just wrapped it up nicely.
Whoa, didnt know you could take back bolts from bosses while they are still alive. Which makes it another good weapon for a boss killer! Silent and infinite ammo (if played right). Good stuff sir!

I love to see you giving the crossbow some love again. It's hands down my fav weapon in the game precisely because of the ambush possibilities. One shotting someone and seeing their teammate absolutely shitting their pants trying to figure out where exactly you are is just so much fun. Usually, it's too late tho, and the second shot hits his soul out of him. Throw a blankfire decoy completely the opposite side, and watch their brain melt completely ;) If you can hit with the crossbow, imo it's one of the best weapons in the game for a solo
i really like mentioning the name of the hunter and his kills that you start to add it recently in your videos, I actually myself love to memorize my hunters names the ones that survived with me for the longest time, i really like that, also i really like your recap at the end with spoiler protection nice work man you always have a good spicy editing that i will never bord from it wut so ever ^^
You are so right. I tried out the crossbow with shot bolt one day and killed 2 people not knowing what I was doing and playing the rat style (which I almost never do). I’m actually pretty good at judging distance with things like grenade launchers and weapons requiring compensation for an arc. After a good set of rounds using it, it became so deadly even at medium distance that my partner said he had to try it out. One of my mains now and one of the most satisfying weapons to get a kill with in the game.
The "life of a hunter" format really works well with explanation of solo decision making and the points that you bring up in between. It makes a very nice format in combination!
I run double crossbow, both hand and full, half poison, half explosive and the rest regular. So it's always nice seeing the crossbow get love, but you're right about the knuckles. I love them, but it was me scratching my head a lot with its supposed range.
The water wheel at Weeping Stone Mill has to be some of the finest (and creepiest) sound design in Hunt. First time I heard it I low-key thought they had added a new boss and told no one.
Everyone gives me shit about my decoy fuses until they see how many ways they can be used! 😂 Pick ups, pushes, escapes and even blowing shit up and setting fire!
What always gets me when I watch youtubers play this game is when i see them sprinting near hunters or even in the radius of another hunter and still have the element of surprise. Everytime I sprint for even a second near people the loud sprinting steps gives me away and they immediately know where I am. Every. Time.
My favorite solo loadout is watching you play, that didnt make any sense but it doesnt need to, anyway its day 67 of telling mike hes the best, cheers!
Played a game with crossbow and bonheim as a trio against another trio and my teammates died and almost wiped the trio alone with crossbow. Still new and only got around 25 hours at the moment so still learning and your videos are perfect for that. Thanks!
I love these "Life of a Hunter" videos! They do a good job of showing what choices lead to a good run. Might be interesting to have a video that ran the opposite like "Death of some Hunters" where you explored a few hunters that died due to avoidable mistakes (not just someone crouch walking in a building with a shotgun). That way you could go over some things to avoid in order to live longer Edit: Loved the recap! Waiting to the end is the right move, and seeing what parts of the kit got the most use is great. Maybe also saying what skills you thought were the most impactful and why would be cool
22:50 I had to check this for myself. Light attack has the same range. Heavy attack though on dusters has shorter range than knife and knuckle knife. Didn't check the heavy knife because no one uses it anyway.
Some really amazing matches here and I really enjoyed seeing the entire life cycle of this hunter. Great loadout, though I’m not very good with it. I’m more of a sniper player, those close range engagements get me most of the time.
Fav solo loadout is normally a romero/uppercut or a winnie/officer w/highV ammo and all the fixens. Seems you can control the fight better with the romero and the winnie/officer w/ highV is kind of a no brainer. Really enjoyed the hunter life vid with the montage at the end. Well done, Mike!
fun thing about the shotbolt is that if you miss but dont break stealth, you can end up accidentaly using it as a long range decoy bullet, a dumber hunter will aim towards where the bolt fell thinking its a hunter and that can give you time for a second shot, although in this case i absolutely cant tell why the guy didnt switch cover
Dude I love this so much! There is not a lot how you can top this. I wish I could have have seen the QP that started it. And BTW I often find myself aiming to high with crossbows, but I think there is a difference between hand crossbow and the big one. You have to train them like different weapons.
Being a cheap bastard, I had never played with an uppercut until this past weekend. Taking one on a hunter fanning was fun for me, but really unfortunate for the guy hiding in a shed after watching his buddy get perforated. I can definitely see the appeal. Video Suggestion: Environmental Wall Banging In the test server, get Neenoh to run a Winnie Centennial with FMJ... You go into the buildings and mark the barrels and lanterns then have Neenoh shoot them from range when you're clear...

Awesome video dude! You’ve honestly inspired me awhile back doing some Crossbow vids, for myself to use it more, and it’s my official go-to weapon for solo plays and even with randoms, or friends. It’s such a solid weapon! Especially once you whip out your trusty Uppercut to follow the arrow. I’ve been able to down two players pretty quick next to each other by that method lol.
Just picked up this game and have been doing pretty well. My friends arent always online, however, so these solo video's have come in super clutch. Absolutely worth a subscribe. P.S. great video, thanks ! from my part, I am often disappointed with crossbow because I often hit the arm (also when hunters are aiming at you, it is easy to hit the arm) and so the shot does not make the hunter die, even at 5m. Also with the shotbolt, I am dead as soon as I miss my shot ( I find myself naked for the time of the reload)
Honestly i just learned this loadout yesterday, even though i don't play solo. Tryharding everytime is pretty tiring, besides this is still really solid loadout. I almost never touched custom ammo or crossbow in general. Only winfield high velocity after all this time.
Oh yeah, just yesterday I had a solo hunter at level 49.5, I go to a boss lair and toss my sticky bomb on it hoping to kill it quick for XP and get out... before I went in the boss was white, after I planted the sticky and went out it went red, and a team roll up with a romero and one-pumps me shortly after :(
I got my second lvl fifty with spectre bayonet/flechette and uppercut after watching your last video on it! I'll have to try this loadout next time I play solo
So I came back to say big THANKS for this video. I love crossbow but sucks a lot with it. But this video push me to try hard it. Results: 2 hunters 50 lvl, and one was almost 50 but I get in bad situation. I am still not so good with crossbow, but killing hunters with it pretty satisfying. Also I think I get some improvements in my decisions and movement. And I saw (I think in this video) a moment when you looted bolts from boss in rage stage - it was like f*cking WOW for me. I think this is genious and maybe should be included in next 50 tips for Hunt) Last one: may be this is can be improved by Mosin Obrez instead of Uppercut, but as for me Uppercut somehow easier for shooting and you can reload it any time (when Mosin only when empty, or with perk, or with intime pressing R button).
Very intersting gameplay. Got pawned by crossbows now and then in 230 hrs, but never really had a look into them. I like to play Uppercut and some higher tier shotties. This seems to be a more sophisticated solo style than ambush/back circling or pishpushing your head through a wall. I'll definitely try crossbow. Thx

The Crossbow with shotbolts is very good. My brother plays it a lot. I, somehow, don't get used to it. Maybe I should practise some more :D Nice vid, nice kills! Keep it going Mike!

I'm brand new to Hunt and I mostly play solo. I am gonna give the crossbow a try. I enjoy the hand crossbow, so I am sure I'll like the reg crossy. Anyway loved the vid. Ggs!

from my part, I am often disappointed with crossbow because I often hit the arm (also when hunters are aiming at you, it is easy to hit the arm) and so the shot does not make the hunter die, even at 5m.
Also with the shotbolt, I am dead as soon as I miss my shot ( I find myself naked for the time of the reload)

Honestly i just learned this loadout yesterday, even though i don't play solo. Tryharding everytime is pretty tiring, besides this is still really solid loadout. I almost never touched custom ammo or crossbow in general. Only winfield high velocity after all this time.

Oh yeah, just yesterday I had a solo hunter at level 49.5, I go to a boss lair and toss my sticky bomb on it hoping to kill it quick for XP and get out... before I went in the boss was white, after I planted the sticky and went out it went red, and a team roll up with a romero and one-pumps me shortly after :(
I got my second lvl fifty with spectre bayonet/flechette and uppercut after watching your last video on it! I'll have to try this loadout next time I play solo

After seeing this I Decided to try it out and like now this load out is just soo op when you get good with it
At around 14:00 ish, it looks like the bolt narrowly missed the guy, I think he accidentally dodged it.
So I came back to say big THANKS for this video. I love crossbow but sucks a lot with it. But this video push me to try hard it.
Results: 2 hunters 50 lvl, and one was almost 50 but I get in bad situation.
I am still not so good with crossbow, but killing hunters with it pretty satisfying. Also I think I get some improvements in my decisions and movement.
And I saw (I think in this video) a moment when you looted bolts from boss in rage stage - it was like f*cking WOW for me. I think this is genious and maybe should be included in next 50 tips for Hunt)
Last one: may be this is can be improved by Mosin Obrez instead of Uppercut, but as for me Uppercut somehow easier for shooting and you can reload it any time (when Mosin only when empty, or with perk, or with intime pressing R button).
Very intersting gameplay. Got pawned by crossbows now and then in 230 hrs, but never really had a look into them. I like to play Uppercut and some higher tier shotties. This seems to be a more sophisticated solo style than ambush/back circling or pishpushing your head through a wall. I'll definitely try crossbow. Thx

I love the crossbow but I’m so bad with shot bolt, the reduced velocity just gets me I’m better off with normal bolts 😂
