im very curious why beth keeps her hand in the 2nd game like she keeps it.
why not put the titan on the bottom. its a very dead card at this moment. anyone can explain? i as a gitrog player would see no reason to keep it.
In the last game that ad naus was relatively safe. Dauthi might be out but theres also a Drannith magistrate stopping dauthi from being able to cast anything.
Finale of Devastation for 80085? Nice.
Really loved watching Cal's Ad Naus turn at 13:43. Mana positive chain of vapor was cool!
"She moves to Kraumbat" made me laugh harder than it should have.
Best part of any game with a Kraum in it
Completely off-topic, but if Factor offers any seafood options, those have 100% been frozen. It's legally required to be so, and most modern fishing vessels have flash-freezing equipment on the ship itself. This is actually an extremely good thing though, as modern flash-freezing technology does Rograkh levels of Commander damage to the flavor and nutrition of the product, and 21 Commander damage to all parasites in the product.
Frozen foods are actually no worse than fresh in many cases these days, and a lot cheaper and easier to prepare. I highly recommend them.
Now this is something Magic players can understand

can i just say your editing is so damn good here. that first game had a pretty wild stack going but it's so clear and well displayed, even someone like me, who isn't experienced much in cEDH, could understand what was happening. awesome work.
Thanks!
Scheming symmetry does have great art
Man, Jeweled Lotus really putting in work in these games. Such a powerful artifact for early cEDH wins.
still regret not buying one when it came out ._.
I never thought that I'd see Ashes to Ashes in a game like this!
How does Beth cast Frog and Scheming Symmetry at 3:27 in the same turn? I thought Treespeaker had to level before he can tap for mana?
I had the same question. Based on later actions, it appears that Beth used the lands to level up Treespeaker before tapping him for mana, but she didn't place the counter (and the action was omitted by the narration). Later when Beth levels up Treespeaker again, she puts the dice out showing "2" level up counters.
@@djnewellmit Doesn't that still leave her one Mana short?
2 Forest, 1 Swamp
-> Tap all
-> Pool GGB
-> Cast Dark Ritual
-> Pool: BBBGG
-> Level Treespeaker
-> Pool: BBG (or BBB)
-> Tap Treespeaker for GG
-> Pool: BBBGG (or BBGGG)
-> Cast Gitrog for 5 Mana
-> Pool Empty. No more Mana for Symmetry
Those were definitely some quick matches. Good showing from the players
11:22 Doesn't Claire have blockers? Or is it because Noah can repeat the loop again and kill Claire that she chose not to block?
She did have blockers. He was in a final fortune extra turn. He could also have won by casting a huge finale (it gives haste), swinging all out at claire forcing her to block, then casting final fortune and attacking everyone for lethal now that there were no creatures left
Finale also fetches up a creature, which gives him another creature with haste. It was enough to get through.
Noah can flicker Dockside and Witness to recast Finale as many times as he wants, so he can get enough creatures to get through Claire's and Cal's blockers.
He could also flicker Omnath over and over again to draw his library and hardcast the creatures for the same effect.
Another great video guys, I hope you guys keep it up. Your videos do a great job of showing how the stack works and how things interact on the stack. I do have a question, when Beth played Duathi you said Noah cringed, but, doesn't HIS commander create a replacement effect? If so, can't he just choose his commander's replacement effect over that of Duathi's? Or, am I missing something within the big picture?
Let’s goooo Cal! That was a dope win. Congrats to everyone though.
Very cool, I like seeing different commanders in the same video!!
Underworld LED and Thassa's Consultation is such a snore war.
Can we all agree that Underworld Breach is even stronger than Yawgmoth's Will?
I've said that all the time but there's always a guy who proved me wrong giving me all kind of explanations and my only argument is like LOOK HOW EASY IS TO WIN WITH BREACH! haha and if you see, ppl is using breach more than they use will, so ...
Looking at the current state of Modern, yes. It is.
As soon as Breach was printed I said that. Being able to replay the same card by exiling 3 cards is just insane
I love the convoluted line the player in that 3rd game has to go to get writhing just right to win lololol who played to everyone
That finale for Omnath was epic
X equaling 80085 is beautiful
Thanks for including some ladies on the show lol you guys are great and all but damn 😂
80085 is definitely appropriate as the Finale of Devastation.
"the croak zone" 💀
a.k.a. the "rekt by drannith" zone
I would love to see a vid from you talking and chilling together sometimes magic is about emotions and talking. I miss this a little bit- maybe one day you switch this up. Thanks for the content
We have a new series coming out this year that shows in person gameplay along with dialogue and conversations. Stay tuned for that!
Is there a deck tech for the Omnath build?
newbie here, what’s the advantage of using omnath instead of Brustal/thrasios? I see the build is similar?
Need a Cpt. here, how in the 9 hells does the gitrog deck win?
are counters always better than forcing a thassa's oracle player to draw cards?
Yes. More versatile
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG I wouldn't mind seeing Angel's Grace in cEDH. Haven't seen y'all use split second at all.
That looked like a ton of fun to play in.
Those were some fast games. Holy cow.
Is this an altered sol ring bottom left?
Great, fast games. Love to see it
turn 1 ad naus is possible so why wait another turn
What happened to 420,069!?!?!?!
You gotta keep ’em guessing!
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG Haha I understand lol
thank you Cal for another control game, my heart is happy
Omg some of my favorite people in here this is an ultra sweet pod 😍😍
Super hyped to see us non-males more represented in these games
How did Noah win game 2? Finale doesn't grant Trample and both Claire & Cal had blockers.
Each time he casts it, he can fetch an additional creature which also gets haste.
Did anyone else notice that Noah missed his ephemerate on his last chance turn?
Just more breach and or thoracle lines, so rare to see any more interesting ways to win, though the second game was not all that bad.
Clair missed a Kraum trigger on Beth's 2nd turn
Any new deck ideas? 😢
Wooh go beth!
Love nymris!
Oh it's a 15 minute video, this should be nice short game to watch... jokes on me, that's 3 games.. LOL
Wow, great games, talented players.
Frog! Frog! Frog! Frog!
*Frogs! Frogs! Frogs! Frogs!
Claire If you're pinned on this video, why didn't you slam the mana vault game 2 turn 1 for turn 2 Winota with ornithopter?
I really like Claire‘s playmat
👍
I like when they use infinite mana for funny numbers
80,085 lmao
Naus go brrrrr
Game 2 is why you DON'T FEED THE FISH!!!!
Lol.... 80,085... Nice
Hot take, but why isn’t Ad Naus banned yet? It’s kinda boring to see the same win con amongst half of the meta. Sure, games are faster with it in, but I swear, I see ad Naus played every single game of PwP uploaded. It’s getting old.
This is a silly cat and mouse game. Banning wincon A will only get wincon B to become popular, and then C, D, etc. Flash was the exception because of how uninteractible it is - Ad Nauseam is far from it (you can counter it, counter the spells cast from it, etc.).
I'd say Thassa's Oracle is far more uninteractible than Ad Nauseam, and even that is a stretch.
@@therealax6 You almost never can counter the spells cast after a Naus, since it often also draws counterspells. It's not a "cat and mouse game", because the only cards that do anything similar are either banned (yawg's bargain) or worse in a very measurable way (Necropotence, PITA).
BASED CEDH CONTENT LFG
good games
people need to fight over breach and not try and fight it l8r
playing Wither power
At least one of the wins was something different than Thoracle
Always confused by this take. It’s cedh, I want and expect to see the most efficient wins. Also it’s breach that is the problem/enabler, thoracle is just the easiest thing after the set up for a lot of games / game 1.
@@kennethpolsky8369 Yeah I get that thoracle is often the payoff, and that it's Breach/Naus that enable the wins. Still annoying, but a thoracle on an actually empty library instead of consultation is fine in my books. If I had to choose to ban a single card, I'd ban Breach or Naus instead of Thoracle.
Cal winning is always a treat, I loved when he won with Prosper, and now winning on Nymris, congrats to you and all other players that played, yall got skills!
So CEDH is now just "who plays Thoracle first"? The gameplay is great but the wincon gets boring. 😕
Thassa's Oracle is such a lame win condition. Really uncreative deck building.
Ban Thassa's Oracle already jesus. Ad Naus too.
For the freaking love of this game.
Thassa is so boring at this point.
Needs banned. Just for this reason
It's basic but you need to be able to appreciate the plays that make it to that point.
@@IAmGrimReefer the next best thing would just replace it. It's not problematic so banning it would be the wrong approach
cedh might not be for you c:
@@IAmGrimReefer in that case LabMan and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries should also be banned
ua-cam.com/video/1YDaaEKimLE/v-deo.html chrome mox can't imprint artifacts.
Thanks Captain Obvious :c
He explained it in the video right after Chrome Mox was played.
Hella good wins you guys!
