    How do feel about this company? Or do you have your own favorite? (also, again, I don't hate other companies, I want to make this point very clear 😅)

      I've been using the Hien for over a year.
      There might be pads that fit me better in terms of control and speed, but Artisan will always be known for their consistany over time and during different temperatures and humidity-levels.
      Knowing that my pad will perform the same pretty much all the time, is the main reason I don't want to switch to another brand.
      (I still very much enjoy seeing more options from other companies but personally, I don't have much of a reason to switch)

    • @UpgradeLemonade
      @UpgradeLemonade  Рік тому +1

      @@EloShapes yeah exactly there isn't much gain to move to another pad, another Hien clone will be about the same or a few percentages of difference in friction that isn't entirely worth it. Designs and color options are cool but with red and now daidai orange I see artisan tapping into that more. Competition is good and sometimes even different options for the sake of being the different pick sn't a bad thing. But it's not entirely exciting either .

    I was gonna be very disappointed if you said anyone else. LGG is catching up but artisan is still superior imo

    Nice video concept! I quiet enjoyed the 🍋 talk 🔥 I do agree with the ‘Made in Japan’ and the logo on the bottom right. Was a cool experience when I unboxed my first Artisan mousepad

    I think you hit it right on. Why get any ESP Tiger pad when artisan exists? Or why get the Ninjutso NPC when it’s literally the exact same as the Zero. It’s just hard to argue with the quality and feel that they offer.

    • @UpgradeLemonade
      @UpgradeLemonade  Рік тому +1

      Appreciate it Durtle! we do see some innovation from pads like FreeFall and even Hystar found a way to get designs to work with Poron. So competition is good when it's innovative. So we continue to look for these gems 😁

    And this is why i think companies like LGG miss the mark, for NA/Asia/EU it doesnt make sense buying anything else because of the price, but here in Brazil Artisans can go around for 700/800 and before some stores started selling them they reached 1k, Brazil import laws can tax you in 100% of the price sometimes, so that 700 can reach 1.4k if you buy directly from artisan.
    Even if they aren't the real deal if you had a almost perfect clone like the LGG, they were selling for 300/400, which is a way better deal, but now some months after launch they are nowhere to be seen.

    • @UpgradeLemonade
      @UpgradeLemonade  Рік тому

      Ya totally fair, artisan can't be for everyone depending on where you live but same can be said for other brands I mentioned depending on availability. Also LGG had issues with getting Poron than set them back so they should be coming back in stock soon (not sure Brazil when

  • @Katze822228
    @Katze822228 Рік тому +1

    yeah but if you order from japan I'm pretty sure you also have to pay import taxes and since the shipping company usually pays these in advance you also have to pay a fee to them. At that point it's cheaper to pay 65€ + 7€ shipping on max gaming. The reason why people say they are 60$/€ pads is because that's what their price on LGG was and still is on max gaming and that's the best way to get them in EU and it was the best way to get them in NA.
    And the poron base isn't really a selling point to me. I like thin, firm bases for high consistency and low static friction. Rubber pretty good for that. If anything I'd be more interested in even stiffer bases. The base on the FreeFall SV BASE Control+ looks very interesting, i hope other surface options with that type of base come out soon.
    Poron just makes cleaning the pad unnecessarily complicated and on some desks the mid poron doesn't stick as well as rubber or silicone does.

    • @UpgradeLemonade
      @UpgradeLemonade  Рік тому

      Really depends on what country I guess in EU but overall my point isn't changed here. In the end though pad preference is personal, artisan won't be for everyone but it's the most complete offering for most

    Really enjoyed your video and agree with it all. The only other brands that add anything to the Artisan lineup for me are Vancer with their ICE V2 and Pulsar with the ParaBrake and the Superglide of course.
    I have the Daidai as well and find the texture to be different from the black Zero, a little rougher. Did you experience the same?
    Oh and thanks for the tip on the new Shidenkai. I have a pink Xsoft here and a white Mid, I wonder how the new ones will compare.

    • @UpgradeLemonade
      @UpgradeLemonade  Рік тому +1

      Yeah well said on those pads as well, def some interesting choices outside Artisan!
      I haven't tried the daidai yet but have heard it's a bit updated. This zero I got in mid seems to be older stock cause it's smoother
      And ya same I can't wait for shidenkai 2, I guess working on durability is the big thing

  • @senseofpermanence
    @senseofpermanence Рік тому +1

    My Shidenkai Glass is 4 years old and still feels brand new. Multiple moves, and heavy use, it has held up with nearly no decay in performance. It's genuinely impressive. That's why I have a Hien, Zero, and Hayate Otsu as well lmao.

    Hello Lemonade. The Aqua Control Zero would be a interesting pad to review since there are not many that have tried it. Im looking for something in between my skypad/mpc450 -/fnatic focus3 to fill the gap for controll,tracking based games like apex. Heard the AC Zero is a faster controll pad with lower friction but still slow glide and good stopping power.
    I would be gratefull if you could take a look at it. :) Hope more great videos are coming soon!

      @UpgradeLemonade  Рік тому +2

      Honestly not too interested in the AC series anymore My boy Colossal did a video on it and it seems like the AC2 or maybe even Equate Plus V2 would be better overall ua-cam.com/video/wYspCl6u_Yo/v-deo.html

    i have all of artisans pads and it's pretty fun switching between them. as a valorant player i always go back to the zero soft as my performance is always best on that. after using artisan zero for 3 years every other mousepad feels inferior, the poron base is so comfortable on soft and especially xsoft and i have the best control with it. highly recommend zero soft, only downside is the hair issue.

    • @UpgradeLemonade

    Ive been using Focus3 deskmat for a while now.(26€ before shipping for a deskmat also is insane..) It isnt mindblowing, but somehow its really unique. Zero and Saturn just collecting dust in the closet. But still Artisan existing really pushed companies to up their quality, thats a W in my book.

    I bought two artisan mousepads for €103 including shipping (hayate otsu xl mid and a raiden xl mid) I don't understand why I should pay even half of this money for a pad of generally lower quality than the latter (I bought an artisan zero from max gaming I paid 70€ for it not shipped, in that case I might think of going elsewhere, but it's still excellent after two years)

    • @UpgradeLemonade

      Ty 😊 and mmm it's a toss up, zero in mid is just so 👌 but also the Raiden in XSoft (just wish the foam was a little more springy to get more instantaneous feedback after a press) but ya I like pads that strike a unique balance of speed and control

    Hi, I just wanna ask if you would still recommend Soku X2 Shiro? I'm currently maining Lamzu Energon and I love it. I'm gonna pair the Soku to my Last Legend. Does it pair well? I wanna know your thoughts, thank you!

    • @UpgradeLemonade
      @UpgradeLemonade  Рік тому +1

      Ya for sure it'll be great with last legend. It has more control than Energon which can help with super low weight mice. Shiro is the best pad Soku has made yet 👌

    • @UpgradeLemonade
      @UpgradeLemonade  Рік тому +2

      yeah it really comes down to just choice for the sake of choice with a lot of brands. and thats the fun part of the hobby, but for me if I want to recommend a brand for someone who doesnt want to chase mousepads , Artisan is the best at the moment

    I’ve been pretty happy with the LGG Saturn. Would love to try out the Artisan pads though, however there is also the Saturn Pro version which I don’t know if I’d wanna get first since it is still cheaper than the artisans 😅

    • @UpgradeLemonade
      @UpgradeLemonade  Рік тому

      Ya Saturn is definitely still a different feel than Zero but that's the beauty of zero you can get mid or soft or XSoft to get a very similar experience. At least for now. LGG coming with full range of soft and Mid included soon

    I have gone through more pads than the average person and everything that I have tried is compared to the Artisan pads that I have. The Hien in soft is my goat pad, for the games that I play (apex legends main) there always seems to be a little quirk with other pads that make me default back to the Artisan line up. And to be fair, the only time Artisan has done something that disappointed me was there new batch Raiden. The new batch Raiden isn't remotely like the old pad, in terms of speed. It slowed after a week and is slower than a Hien now. As the OG is one of my favourite pads, that wasn't something that I was a fan of. The easiest recommendations are the Zero, if you want a premium cloth pad and the Hien, if you want a premium hybrid pad. The Kou and Shidenkai are the only Artisan pads that I don't own. Right now, the superglide is the only pad that has done something that surpasses something in the Artisan line for me and this is purely because a glass pad is something completely different. Even then, I compare my performance to the Hien and over time, the Hien may become my main again. Artisan is just a staple for performance, options and the feeling you have when you buy into the Artisan name. Having that feeling when you buy into that, is worth the price to me

    • @UpgradeLemonade
      @UpgradeLemonade  Рік тому +1

      I might see if LGG will send me one to check out but again this is one of those pads that isn't that exciting to me. Nice quality but it's not really doing much. It's a good option for OCE players I guess from a price point perspective, that's if they like the surface

    • @PeppaP1g
      @PeppaP1g Рік тому +1

      @UpgradeLemonade yea I'm in oce so I bought is as a cheaper artisan alternative, but I really like it. It is a similar speed to a saturn, and has a rough texture, but it does not feel abrasive on skin
      It's definitely my favourite control pad

  • @iitsMikeB
    @iitsMikeB Рік тому

    I urge you to NOT see the LGG Venus/Venus Pro as any kind of Artisan clone. It is quite possibly one of the worst mousepads ever conceived by mankind. Incredibly muddy, tracking issues on certain mice, and insanely abrasive towards the skin.
