Thanks again for the great vid guys!I bought the Prescription Electronics Experience, shown at 29:05 , in '97 and sold it like 5 or 6 years later; this is proly the biggest mistake i ever did gear-wise, what a crazy sounding pedal !!! Fuzz, fuzz+octave and fuzz+octav+swell the memory of its sound is still vivid in my head! I really miss it :( anyways, thanks again, you guys are the best! Peace
My board looks like a Way Huge Billboard! Love the show guys and thanks for getting Mr. Tripps on. Tell him I need a Way Huge Tremolo Pedal will ya. ;) LONG LIVE THE SAUCY BOX!
Probably five or five months back I picked up a used Green Rhino pedal... and I'll be damned if it isn't the most gorgeous sounding overdrive pedal! Stellar interview, guys... yet again you've knocked it out of the park.
What a great interview. High praise for having the confidence to ask for the original Red Llama back from Tom Petty. It was great to hear he made a Red Llama for Tom. I could not imagine asking for the pedal to be returned. I would have buckled like a belt. Jeorge provided deep insight into the history of pedals, his experiences and the possiblity that, "Won't back down", could be about the Red Llama.
Amazing episode guys! Ive recently been learning what Jeorge Tripps is all about, purchased a Green Rhino MKIV and have been blown away from the tones I get compared to any other 808 od, its much more than just true bypass, thanks for putting this up, could have been twice as long as far as Im concerned ;)
Great show and pedal history lesson. I started playing in 1978 when I was 14, so I remember some of that stuff that I couldn't afford! If only I knew then what I know now on how to use that stuff. Great interview as well. You guys are a lot of fun!
So darn cool. I remember when that DL4 came out in high school. It was the most amazing thing ever. It completely changed the game. All of my guitar buddies wanted one, but none of us could afford it, except for one friend, and we would always go jam with him just so we could check out the pedal.
I've long lusted after the Echo-Puss and finally bought one about 6 months ago. All the guitar players in my area are now jealous. Tim or Pete, if you read this, please extend my thanks and deep appreciation to Mr. Huge. It's definitely not the last WH pedal I buy. Even the quality of the switch is remarkable. Now I've got my sights on a certain brown pedal...
Did you ever buy one? Is it the havalina? I have one, and it is awesome! I'm a bit addicted to fuzz lately, and I've acquired many different flavors. The Havalina is definitely fun when I'm not trying to get the muff sound. I prefer the Havalina for solo type playing.
@bretsamblis5560 I believe I was looking at the Camel Toe. I like dual overdrives for some reason. Fuzz too, so the havalina and the swollen pickle may happen some day. I think the red llama circuit is underrated, and the green rhino seems like the most musical take on the TS, but I might buy them independently rather than the Camel Toe. But it will have to wait because buying a home has a way of putting you into debt...
Cool Band of Gypsys story. Never knew that Hendrix broke a string during 'Who Knows' but having just listened to it again, it's so obvious. No idea how Jimi managed to keep playing so effortlessly and in tune with broken strings considering the bridge was floating. 'Red House' at Woodstock is perhaps an even better example.
Cool - weird guitars and almost a pedal museum. I always liked Jeorge Tripps gear now I think I like the man even more, way to go guys! Nice to hear about the what and why of how things were going on the last 25+ years as I remember ALL of this gear.
Man, flashback for me. Bought a Green Rhino and Aqua Puss back in 1998. Sold them in 2003 to buy some Roger Mayer stuff. You guys know how it goes. I also had a 76 Ibanez Destroyer like the one that Tim's playing in the intro. I trashed back in the late 70s and carried it around my life for nearly 40 years. Sold it a year and a half ago to a guy that restored it to like new.
I bought a Boss CE-1 as a backup for my 120V DOD chorus. 1981? At the time I was playing through a 50w Marshall with a top cabinet. In to the amp with an Electro-Harmonix LPB-1 and an MXR 12 band 120V EQ. Unfortunately the signal came from a 79 Strat, which still is a massive POS. The DOD would go back to Salt Lake every once in a while for repair. Maybe five jobs total on the CE-1, so I got it out last month to list it on Reverb. After I hooked it up I decided to keep it! Used it on "Watching the detectives" for the intro back in the day.. Glad I held on to all my old pedals, but my tape echo went in the dumpster. The one that got away....
Used many of these since I turned the fifty corner. Had all the analog stuff and sold 808s and Boss delays. Who new? Should of kept all my RE 201 echoes too. Damn. Good show boys!!!
Tim, did you play that grey guitar with Rick Springfield? I thought I remembered seeing an early video of his with you using a guitar with an "arm" on it. What is it?
Hey guys, I'd love to see you do a show with Cory Wong! He's and up-and-comer in Minneapolis, and he's done some really neat stuff with Vulfpeck. You've already done Lettieri and Mateus, my two favorite players, it would be super cool to get a show with Cory Wong.
It just dawned on me why my Havalina pedal sounds better in the hot summers vs when it sits in a cold corner in the winter. So I heated it up with a hair dryer and wala, that cool rich flavor came back. So what if Jeorge added a thermostaticly controlled heater (two resistors) next to the germanium transistors. Have two set points of warm and hot.
sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me

You guys are, at once, marvelous, and hilarious! Thanks for the test drives, and a laugh!

Your show was quite interesting and great fun. Thanks a million. Enjoyed watching .................

This is Awesome!! My favorite thing to watch. Its worth the wait.

Yet another awesome nostalgic gear video, thank you !!!

So many of his pedals are gems. The Echo-Puss is one of the most underrated pedals of all time
Let's get nuts!
Thanks for the history lesson and the
pedal envy , more is never enough !

Glorious opening
Great video, thanks for creating/sharing.

23:54 good advice on using a fuzz pedal. It's all in the volume control roll on the guitar for distortion control.
Awesome episode, great builder, love the tune at the start :)
That was super cool, great chat with Joerge who is another teriffic guy. Really enjoyed that, tremendous!
Great one!!
For the record, Hendrix on/ off'd his fuzz constantly, except for a few early shows, like Monterey, where it was left ON the whole show.
awesome episode guys!
Another great show. So interesting that guy, who had his hands on so much great pedals...thx tim and pete!
Another banger of a show. I couldn't get it in 1080 though but I'm at work so.
Santa's Shoppe of Toys. Plus the famous Jim Dunlop! -wow, modern history, kids!
what a cool, humble man!
why the 480p? WE WANT 1080P ;)

Pete Thorn used an Echo Park to reproduce VH's "Eruption" delay effect in the end. Awesome!

Awesome show!
Ah man!....you guys are so freakin awesome!🤘😎
wow, serious gear talk here!
I've got a bunch of them - they're awesome pedals
Probably my fave episode yet. Too bad no 1080p :)
Used many of these since I turned the fifty corner. Had all the analog stuff and sold 808s and Boss delays. Who new? Should of kept all my RE 201 echoes too. Damn. Good show boys!!!
'Ripping Velco' has got to be a track title for the new album featuring a fuzz solo Pete
Yes Pete. Any chance of a show with R.J. Ronquillo?
The Echo Park is one of the pedal delays ever made.
I absolutely love my Swollen Pickle mkII
Yes! Jeorge is so cool!
Outstanding. Please do James Santiago next
Holy jimson weed! That jam at the end was fine fine fine.
I couldn't find any info on the original Super Puss. Was this an actual production pedal? :)
This video was really interesting, thanks.
its the pedal fun factory. looks like good times.
Tim, did you play that grey guitar with Rick Springfield? I thought I remembered seeing an early video of his with you using a guitar with an "arm" on it. What is it?
Serves me right for not waiting until the end of the vid. But, as soon as I saw it, I thought of that video. Ha! :-)

Tim Piercing Moose! Great tone!

Tim looks a bit like Rick Nielsen, with the explorer (with beard and cap of course) :-)
Excellent...-:))
I used to have one of the Roland guitar synths.
Would be great to have Robben Ford on next!
I just wish Line6 would re-release the DL4/MM4 with the mods that everyone wants
sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Kristian Duke instablaster :)
You guys need to do an episode with Isaiah Sharkey!
Tim kind of looks like Rick Nielson at the beginning wearing the hat with glasses and goatee playing an Explorer.
Lol at the Gilbert volume knob mod so he can cut the volume on his giant windmill sweeps ha
Should I get back to work or watch?
Guess my bosses won't be getting their money's worth today ;)
Vintage 480p
is that a tremolo pedal
I'd played a Roland Midi Guitar like yours, Pete!!
You have to buy the original pedalboard, it's crazy.
Great show, guys! Hopefully getting my first Way Huge pedal (Russian Pickle) from the jolly old elf.
Whats the dude from Cheap trick doing there with Pete ? LOL
Tim looks like Rick Nielsen with the Explorer and ball cap!
I was waiting for Tim to bust out some Dream Police...
I think Kevin Parker of Tame Impala has the Synth Guitar. He must have the cable...
Does anyone else think Jeorge resembles that actor from Office Space Drew ("gonna show her my oh face")??
Hard to stay focused with that guys energy drink on a crowded table of pedals also next to jeorges anniversary sparkle dl4...
There is not a big enough like button for this video
That looks like a Gittler!
rick nielson' little brother !!
Whatever happened to Andy Brauer. He used to be huge in the industry even before the UA-cam era.
Video sound could have been better seemed fizzy hard to get a true pedal sound .to bad .
