Many years ago, Apple released an early version of voice control for classic Mac OS. I thought I'd try it out and see what this new-fangled technology was like. I sat there in front of a brand-new Mac, plugged in the mic and started talking to it. "Open Control Panels" Oh, OK - this is pretty cool. "Open Sound" "Set volume to 50" Hey, it works! "Open the Finder" At which point one of my workmates got sick of this and yelled out "Open the f*%kin' thing yourself!"
Lolz. Nice. Yes, once the novelty wears off the only real benefit is if it is easier to say 1 word than 5 mouse clicks… or controller button presses. I think I’d prefer a peripheral that can hear me swearing in frustration at a game and invisibly lowers the difficulty - keeps my pride intact!
Very cool! I've always known about this function and I even used it at the time. I confess that I didn't like it, probably because I didn't know how to use it correctly. I love your videos about curiosities from the Bethesda world. Keep it up
Thanks! I was surprised how well it worked but can see why it didn't take off. It is only the functions that don't repeat controller functions that I'd say were really useful (e.g. "sort by..."). Cheers!

Just beat oblivion bc of your last video. Now on to beat og Skyrim by screaming. Cheers
Awesome. The voice command system was more fun than I thought it would be. Cheers!
I couldnt find any clear answer if the Xbox One Kinect 2 has these features also. Seems like it's only on the 360.
Yes, you’re right. It’s only on the Xbox 360. They didn’t carry the feature over to the XB1 - which is a shame.
@@ramnexus This is a great video. I can't find any other video like it. Thank you! 👍
