Man! I have the R6 and I love it! But to be honest, I've always been tempted by the a7siii, especially for the low light capabilities and some high frame rates. But now that I see your video I don't feel the immediate need to switch to Sony. Even though I know that eventually I will.😬
Haha. At the end of the day, are already invested in Canon glass? I will say, Canon glass is far superior to Sony. The dynamic range is a bit higher with slog3 on the Sony than the r6 but only a few stops. It’s barely eeks ahead in specs like barely.
@@PaulMDillon cool vid…i went with the a7s3 because i love to shoot 200fps and 100fps even in very low light frequently…i also tested the r6 when it came out and the dynamic range in clog1 was absolutely garbage. Ive heard some very good things about the clog3 update tho and currently think about the r6 as a secondary cam (mostly for the handheld bec. the stab seems so smooth)…but its cool to see, that its rather close at iso 12k… i do believe that if shooting 120p its a no contest, but thats more of a niche thing…
@@m0nztam0nk well said. I couldn’t agree more. White the extreme ISO was very similar the day footage due to the siii having more dynamic range was far superior. My friend Cody does say the clog3 update improved the dynamic range a lot.
@@PaulMDillon i think ill rent the r6 once more to test IBIS and dynamic range in clog3 more in depth. I dont like how active Stab. affects the image. On the other hand i dont believe i would want to be with sony AND canon and sustain 2 Lens lineups…im curious to see how canons stab. actually fares in practice. It looked rather good for longer focal lengths (which i use most often), but the c-af/servo seemed a little more stuttery then sony…this Camera war gets closer every day man… :)
