To add, I preform acts of ibadha with the intentions of fulfilling the ultimate purpose of this life which is to worship Allah with praise and good deeds ,I also don't focus on the rewards or punishments .

I agree with Dr Shabeer about the maturity concept but I do not think it is the essence of the issue here. Here is my take:
1- God by definition is way above being affected by us announcing or denouncing him. To say that denouncing god as a creator would make him angry is contradiction to the idea of how god is a real god who is way above such little beings like us.
2- I believe the real reason for existence of hell is to punish those who did wrong, directly or indirectly, to other humans.
3- Such punishment is a must; for the sake of those who have been abused and mistreated otherwise there would be no real justice in the system.
4- God here is primarily the protector of the people; those who have not done nothing wrong but have been still been tormented by the abusers.
5- The belief in God is also the belief that he is the keeper of justice and protection of good doers.
6- The main essence of the system is that those among us who do well, despite of some challenges, deserve to go a higher stage (Heaven) as some form of positive beings who deserve to move on in God worlds.
7- Part of the test in life is that they would face adversity and injustice at times, but god will compensate them very well. Part of the compensation is that the abused will see the abusers pay for their crimes. The other part that the only will move on to the next stage i.e. heaven.

k mansour agree re point 2.) Muslims have generally been bad at explaining this; insisting that God punishes us because he is somehow ‘personally’ offended, yet not jealous. Imo (but God knows best) the primary reason for atheism, polytheism etc being condemned is that they impede other people having a relationship with God, same for strange and extraneous rituals and ‘religious’ practices. They make a mockery of faith and thus drive people away from it

But if hell is that much real, as is described in Quran, that makes God a sadist.

@@omerali2690 you can not Quran words literally about completely different world with completely different realities. However the principle is clear; the system can not be right if the abuser is treated the same way as the abused.

Another option can be, tge abuser is not rewarded or is punished accordingly and the one who is abused gets compensation/ reward for his suffering.
I mean, I am not suggesting anything to God, but I do think that once this life is, there is no point in punishing an individual, the one who suffered will not gain anything from that punishment.

Dr. Shabbir, I personally think that you shouldn't disclose your view about hell because THIS view that you described had been realised by you after years and years of patience. However for those who are at the beginning level of spirituality this might misguide them. In fact this must be known to them only through themselves (and Allah).
However this is my personal opinion.

@@islamicscholar6073 I can't speak as to Dr. Shabir's motivations, but I will say that as a former Christian of the Western world, the language the Dr. uses is much more accessible by non-Muslims. He's not diluting the power of Islam and Allah, he's meeting Western people halfway while still being accurate and informative.

Because the obvious primary language of delivery for this program is English.
If the language of delivery were to be Arabic language (and he were to mention "God" in Arabic --- that is, "Allah"), trust me he would never go out of his way to replace the Arabic word "Allah" with the English word "God".
Why should you not expect the same when the language of delivery is English?
Oh wait a minute, could it be that English language is *un-god-ly* ?
Oh shoot, I just did it too. Lol

    • @23Mijk
      @23Mijk 4 роки тому +2

Because this is an English language platform...the alternative is just to confuse English speakers and non Muslims more generally who will think a discrete or ‘different’ God is being spoken about. Allah literally means ‘the God.’
