@Arzigogolata I hear you on that. So do I. It's hard to find & keep female friends, these days. It seems many of us prefer to tear one another down & gossip about one another rather than sticking together for a lifetime, as these 2 seem to be doing. It would be nice to have a TRUE female friend, for a change.
The saying is so true that real friends don’t have to talk everyday, but when you meet up every thing is right back to where you left off ❤!!! I love this it reminds me of me and my best friend!!!
Here's another fun fact. They both appeared on Agnes Nixon (RIP) Soaps. Phylicia Rashad then known as Ayers Allen was on One Life To Life while Leslie Uggams was on All My Children as the Mother who abandoned her Children Belinda & Noah Keefer. Mr. Lee was a Song by The Bobbettes that was about their Jr. High School Principal who were next to The Chantels and Shirelles one of The First Girl Groups Of The 1950's.
They sang again towards the end of the episode when the men sneak to get ice cream in the kitchen and the women catch them and start to take the ice cream from them and put it back into the fridge...the song goes: "Do you remember, The names we had for each other? I was your 'pretty', You were my 'baby'. How did we say goodbye? Happy Happy Birthday baby. Although I can't call you my baby...etc etc (can't remember the rest verbatim) It was a very beautiful slow song and their harmony was exquisite.
I think I can tell you from memory what this episode is about, Claire and her best friend haven't seen each other since high school, and Claire decided to meet up with her and her husband, and so this scene just sums up their respective reactions when they saw each other after all these years...😄😄😄
This WHOLE exchange of old friends was just GLORIOUS.
But the deadpan greeting between the two guys made the scene even better and much funnier.
Leslie Uggams and Phylicia Rashad. The epitome of class.
Storie Devereaux Empire mamas
Just imagine having someone you love playing around like this and then having a friend a real friend to sing with🥰😊😎
Thankfully it is the story of my life!
I want a friend like Claire to sing and dance Mr Lee with a wig on
Me too

Can only imagine what the two characters were like in their high school days.
One of the most classic moments in the history of The Cosby Show.
YES IT IS!
Oh I scream laugh every time I see this! Just hilarious! The husband's faces though!
I love this scene!
This has to be one of the funniest scenes ever on this show. The husbands’ faces crack me up every time. lol
Not as funny as when the guys said in a unison, monotone, “Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee.” 😂
@@SuperBigMike1992

I loved when they both took their wigs out lol.
When they pull the wigs out Lmaoooo

My niece dated a young man called Mr Lee, every time they were together, I would think of this scene.
It is so ironic that both of these ladies are now on Empire wow

l love, love, that episode Claire and Leslie dancing and having a great time. As best friends from school, keeps me smiling.
The wigs get me every single time
The husbands faces get me everytime!!!!! Hahahahaa
If I had to guess I say that their thoughts both were "These are our wives!"
Either that, or "It's a girl thing".
Not to mention when guys say half-heartedly, “Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee.”
I'm at my desk in TEARS!!! This never gets old! :D
Guy are thinking "Do we REALLY HAVE to see this?"
One of my favorite skits from this show. Engraved into my head.
Never in a million years would I thought Clair Huxtable could be so evil as Diana Dubois.
What do you mean?
Phylicia Rashad is on Empire as Diana Dubois, where her character is pretty twisted.
Mac Cullinane IKR!!!! She played the hell out of that part!
Never thought she'd be: The Old Settler...good movie
Love, love, LOVE their harmony.
Yoooo when they pulled them wigs out ☠️
Look at lucious and Angelos mommas getting along
Monica Logan Lmaooo
Oh wow that is them!🤣
This show is now farther back in time than the Bobette's "Mr. Lee" was when the ladies sang it here. Strange how time seems to accelerate as one ages.
Clair running from side to side singing Mr. Lee...😆😆😆
