We have Starlink for when we travel in our rig, and it works pretty good, when there is no trees. Sadly we camp with a lot of trees, so that's an issue. We DO have a big pole, but sometimes, the trees are taller!

I think our current plan is to leave it mounted on the tripod but replace my old phone jack connection on the trailer with a Starlink compatible connection. Even when hard-wired phones were a thing, we never used it.

Someone developed a static system using 3d printed parts. It still tracks well.

The guy that created a static version wired it through his rooftop HVAC unit. I wish I saved that video.

So far, clouds have not affected it. We'll probably have to wait for a permanent mount to test it during a storm.
