Thats absolutely ridiculous. Thanks for your test. Normaly i would immediately have bought the 45W Charger.
Samsung is behind everybody

We really need useful videos like these that help us from spending our hard earned money on useless claims by certain companies
You should use a power meter too to check what the actual output
I still think bbk (oppo , OnePlus realme etc) have the best implementations when it comes to fast charging compared to the Wats they are using . Like the scaling is better , with very good heat management . 1+ year later with a realme 7 pro , the battery life is still excelent (it feels like 95% compared to when it was new).
@@findmeinyoursoul for example?
I'm agree with you, I'm using Oneplus 7 Pro for about 2 years+ with original 30 watt charger, and it's only does ~1hr screen on time drop on the battery life compared to when first time using the phone, people always think fast charging is worst for battery health when actually it doesn't that bad in long term use, when we consider the benefits is far more useful, for example when I'am in hurry and only need to plug my phone for 20 minutes and it's already giving enough juice for all day long, I can't imagine how useful it's with 120watt.
@@findmeinyoursoul basically any phone can explode because it has a battery . Thx capitan obvious 😒
@@findmeinyoursoul Korean products such as Samsung also exploded
thanks man you saved me a bundle. Have you tested the wireless charging yet?
Dude thanks for this. It makes kinda makes sense. I bet whatever is controlling the charge in the phone is probably the same or very close. Basically whatever is saying accept this much current and also tells when to stop accepting current when fully charged. I forgot what thats called.
@lover of tech have you switched on the super fast charging option while using the 45W charger???
At the time oneplus 7pro came out, these charging speeds were super fast.
Do you have the new 45W charger?! The older one actually charges at around 27W, thus asking!
No, this is the older one
I thought there was a good improvement if they decided to bring 45W back, but it's the same disappointment... Thx bro for the video
Great test - nice job
Thanks for the charging test: very interesting. Blessings on your day.
This idiot is charging with the old EP-TA845 charger, not the new EP-T4510 that is coming out next week 🤦🏼♂️
The difference is in burst charges. If you are that kind of person that plugs your phone in for 15 minutes about 3 times a day, then you may see a 20-30% charging speed increase with the 45w charger.
In longer charging sessions, the battery heats up and the charging has to slow down, meaning all the time it gained while charging quicker is now sacrificed so the battery temperature can lower back down.
What cables did you use with the 45w? 25w?
Thank you
Thanks alot bro you saved me from wasting money on it I love you 😘
i think you need to buy a 45w capable cable with the 45w brick to make it charge faster. At least that's the case with the s23 lineup.

I have a question though, is your outlet affecting the performance of the 45w charger? Are your outlets limited in a way that stunts the 45w charger? I have no idea. Either way, I might just stick with the chargers I have

BUT DOES THE 25W CHARGER HEAT UP THE PHONE AND DAMAGE THE BATTERY?
AND ALSO IS 15W CHARGER SAFE FOR S22 PLUS?

SO PLS TELL ME WHICH ONE SHOULD I BUY FOR MY S22 PLUS (PLUS MODEL) CONSIDERING THE BATTERY LIFESPAN AND OVERHEATING

I forgot to ask this but does the S22 series use USB PD or their own proprietary method?
Sort of.... They utilise PPS which is a fairly common standard but not every charger supports it. Make sure the charger is PPS compliant and it will be fully compatible to charge at max speeds.
its such a shame that a top smartphone manufacturer who charges premium for their devices is simple so lame when it comes to these kind of features, man they cant even upgrade the charging stuff to make it charge fast
Not sure bout this vid but I get the feelin the 45w charges much faster to 70%..I have both chargers too

Thanks saved 2000 rs , bought the 25 w charger
Many thanks for the video and taking the time to do the test. However as previous comments have stated this is the old 45 watt charger. The new version charges faster even though its the same 45 watt. As its been redesigned with better components to better handle variations in voltage fluctuations and improved temperature technology so it doesn't overheat and start throttling it's power output. This is information is directly from Samsung customer service. Keep in mind the original 45 watt charger was made for a much older Samsung phone.
No I saw the video with the charger , it's giving almost same time as this.
That's a crazy ass excuse from Samsung for this scammy charging technology lol
I am buying the device for the first time should i go for the 45W charger or the 25W? Are there going to be any improvements over time regarding charging speeds like through OTA updates and optimisation of charging speeds?
25w
I would get the 25 watts, I have the S22+ a great phone, but I found no change with the 45 watts charger, 25 is much cheaper and same performance
Do you think it is a good option to buy the galaxy s22 or better a pixel 6? I am a person who cares a lot about the battery.
Pixel 6 will give you the better battery
I am using s22 +. I have kept the phone on charging and am using 15w charger. Surprisingly it is showing 50 minutes required for full charge and the phone is at 34% charge. As per video it requires 56 minutes for the 25 watt charger. I guess 15 watt charger is doing far better job than these high watt chargers.
meanwhile, me with my oneplus I have 100% in 30 minutes and 50% in 12 minutes. lol
I just switch my phone from oppo to samsung galaxy s22.. from oppo's super vooc to samsung's super fast charging is a major downgrade.. i tought my new phone is broken because it takes looong time to charged

oh the 45 w minute charger is a savior, I needed to go in an hour but my phone was empty, and when i wanted to go my phone was 100% if i had the 25w charger i would have been on 98% what a life savior
🤣
so Xiaomi had a 18w, 21.5w, 27w charger and a 33 watt charger all 4 were supported in my device each one actually charged to 60% faster
Any reason why it's like that?.. software limited or the charger ain't pushing 45W?
Another reviewer said it peaked at 28w with the 45w charger. I haven't seen the video/article that originates from though.

The s22 ultry supports 45W though, i think...

Yes
I have the new official Samaung 45w and it charges much faster than than the 25w charger. Maybe you are using an older adapter or maybe cables that do not support fast charging?
Did you do an actual test?
I bought the 45w charger because I plan on upgrading to s22 ultra and it doesn't come with a box
Did u use the correct 45wt USB c cable?
USB-C spec is minimum 60 watts @ 20 volts, so unless he used a bottom of the barrel cable from some backyard factory (why would he in official Samsung chargers) it supports 45 watts.
Remember to use a 5A cable!! Samsung doesn't include it, only include a 2A cable and that's why you don't see big changes...
So 25W is a better choice, just a few mintues difference anyways.
SaMsUnG is definitely playing it TOO safe after the note 7 issue. They need to step it up. 1 hour charging is Stone Age time.
Samsung confidence was shaken up BAD!!!! After that note 7 blowing up fiasco. U surprised the charging speed ain't up to par... I'm surprised they even tried to move beyond 25 watts... They have been very slow to adopt new charging technologies and as big as they phones are they shouldn't b putting anything less then 4200 mah batteries in any of their products
ahahahaha this must be a joke
Thanks for the practical proof...
Today i ordered 25watt charger and saved my money instead of 45watt....😜
