This scene is hilarious. Alexis is such a brilliant character. In later series she was never this sweetly mischievously sarcastically devious. This is also before the big power dressing and super-formal wardrobe.
All from the start, when she returned, Alexis had the upper hand on Krystle. She had a boltwhole in the estate. She knew the staff, the house, where they kept the caviar and champagne, and of course her children lived there.... Game set and match ! 😆
I love this bohemian free spirit Alexis - complete with easel and a pillow to sit on - much better than the overnight oil baron complete with Joan Crawford wardrobe that she became in later seasons. Season 2 Alexis is by far the most interesting character this show ever produced, then she became a silly campy cartoon.
I “love” how Alexis put the flowers 💐 next to the bouquet she already had below the mirror. It’s like adding salt to the wound. Bravo Krystle for challenging her... I loved the dynamic between these two in the early seasons. You could feel the tension!
I remember watching all these scenes when I was a teenager.. the Alexis , Krystal battles were epic..and the clothes and jewelry..they don't do TV like this anymore...the late great Aaron Spelling was the master of night time drama and opulence.
I have had her as a house guest only for two nights in Switzerland and she is exactly like Alexis. Even as a gay man i was powerless in front of her charm and charisma.. I am not surprised she could make any straight man do exactly as she pleases.
I'm actually with Alexis on this one. Krystle was condescending when she asked Jeanette who the mistress of the house was. Why force a servant to admit who the boss is? I love Alexis's hair and blouse. I love her early, more casual, less expensive clothes. I wonder if this is a wig. Joan sometimes wore her own hair but usually insisted on wigs because she thought the stage lights destroyed hair.
She was only asking to confirm what she already knew. If Jeanette hesitated or said it’s someone else, I have a feeling she’d be fired on the spot. And what exactly did Alexis do right here anyway. You are being stupid not reading between the lines and just finding reasons to villainize a queen like Krystle.
It's a good foreshadowing with the vase of flowers. Here Alexis attempts to politely return them to Krystle. Later in their catfight, Alexis throws them at her!!
Krystle was as dull as the glass of milk she was drinking . If a half dozen roses is all the flowers they have in their garden they need a new Gardner . She was right though …there isn’t anyone like Alexis …. Awesome as always .
@@4nlover635 Well then that's even more to my point, she's a bit long in the tooth to be drinking giant tumblers of milk at breakfast. And While Linda E. was more than 35, I don't think Krystal was meant to be much older than that at this point in the show, really

Yes but I can't quite see her as a modern-day Vincent van Gogh somehow.

I love her clothes in season 2 in later seasons some are cool but I think some of her outfits are too over the top especially the fur one lol
Yes, this is the pre glorious huge wig on time of Alexis
Alexis doesn't need fancy words. Her calmness combined with her fickleness and utter sarcasm is much better.
"Would you sit for me? You have to genuinely admire her absolute audacity 😂😂

Krystle is like little cloud at the begining, but at end she is like hurricane, and Alexis is smaller then mouse

I watched it too in the 80s and Joan Collins would have to be the best arch bitch TV has ever seen.
JC slays every scene she in…so much fun subtext and wit in her delivery of a line not to mention her body language.

Krystle, sorry, but if you have to ask, you are not mistress of the house.
ikr? That was so weer
Hey, it never hurts to have some reassurance every now and then. ^^
That was her warning shot that she was about to go off.
She the stenographer of the house!
True!
Alexis was so CANNIVING and DEVIOUS!! It was ENTERTAINING!!! 😂🍿🔥
Conniving
The Carrington Gardener cut the last of the roses for Alexis - there are like 10 buds there. Shitty garden!

I just can't believe how shady Alexis is here. Lool! She is a mess.
Lol right
There must be very little roses in their garden, if they all are collected in Alexis vase? 😅
Imag8ne sitting there with alexis not only painting you but of course and most of all READING YOU FOR FILTH for two straight hours
Just biyching and reading for two full hours. Lol
Funny how Alexis tries to give Krystle a vase full of flowers, only to throw a vase full of flowers at her during their art studio fight.
I think this is before their first fight
@@JudgeMarmianWiZard Yes, just their second scene!
When Alexis is nice to Krystle, RUN.
It takes Jeanette to rid Krystle of her insecurities
Joan's real hair.
And she has the receipt to prove it.
@@dannycarrington1601 lol.
i love it, she is time enough for alexis at every encounter

Krystle was so beautiful and statuesque, a nordic godess.
She looked goofy and misplaced next to Alexis.
@@MeBallerman And mannish.
This whole show is about the dangers of not going no contact with a malignant narcissist.
The look after Jeanette's confirmation Krystel chose violence 😳
Apparently "Milk" = Liquid Courage! Krystle proves that ,"Milk does the body good!" ;))
I loved this show.
Alexis IS incredible, that's why we love to hate her!!

I don't recall the dining room being in that location, isn't that where the entrance hall should be ??
the layout of the mansion changed a few times in the first couple of seasons.
I'd love to see the portrait Alexis would paint of Krystle. How ungracious of the "mistress" to turn down the offer.
Love Alexis !
FABULOUS
Thank you Jeanette. ❤️📺
oh dang I would have left Blake the moment Alexis entered the scene
A glass of milk?
Yes.. kittens need milk to grow... lionesses fresh meat.
Why is a 35 year old woman drinking a 12 ounce glass of milk - at breakfast???
She is older than 35.

I just drank two glasses of milk. I’m 35.
To help her out through menopause.
unexpected pleasure: sounds like a commercial of something you wear under........ :D :D
They need to make out already!
