I start a load every night on a 7 hour delay. The load finishes minutes after I wake up and I typically start load 2 of the day by 6:30 am. I like to have the laundry done for the day by breakfast! :)
I LOVE the delay wash feature. Before lockdowns, it was practically the only way I did laundry. Now that I think of it, I should probably start that up again because I have no laundry routine now.
Kira Hill it’s so nice to have two loads done right away in the morning. Makes laundry feel much more in control. I start my second load while my coffee is brewing.
I am disorganized at home, but organized at work.I absolutely love to start laundry at night, just like I start my dishwasher at night. Laundry is one of the few things about which I do not struggle. This makes total sense!!!!!!
Hi! I just discovered your channel tonight and I am loving it so far! Your methods really speak to me! Case in point, it’s funny to hear you get so many comments about starting a load of laundry at night because I do THE SAME THING and have for YEARS!
You could delay the machine starting at night so it's just finished the wash as your getting up in the morning, I used to do it like you till I realised I should just set the delay start on the machine, even though, like you I never had any problem with the clothes smelling, only ever smelt of the fabric softener which I used....I totally get what you do as I also find this works better for me than doing this in the morning xx
Omg how many times have I forgotten the laundry for at least 24 hours and it’s fine. People are so rule obsessed. Lighten up people! I’m 70 and have never lost a load of laundry.
@@TheDovesNest I've left clothes in mine for a lot longer and not had a problem. And we're farmers with lots of dirt and sweat on our clothes. And Yes! Please go Danny Tanner on cleaning tools!
I don’t see how this is different than a working mom who starts a load before she leaves for work and lets it set all day. Whatever works for you is fabulous! I do a time delay for 5hrs when I leave for work and I switch it as soon as I get through my door from work and before I start dinner then fold after my kiddos are in bed. Love you videos!
Thanks! I've never had a delay option, so I started at night. When I worked and was gone from my house for 10 or so hours, if I started a load before work, I wouldn't get home until 6 or 7... by the time the laundry would finish drying I was too tired to fold/put it away, so I always had a big Mt. Laundry
I have no issues leaving my washing in the machine overnight either. I also clean my washing machine out every month, and I use sanitizer in every wash. It's when it gets left for days that it might start to smell.
If your laundry smells gross after a night in the washing machine you need to get that machine cleaned or repared/replaced. That should not happen. If you don't want your clothes to sit in your machine over night you could also set a timer for the machine to start a programm at night so it is right about done when you wake up (most machines have this timer at least in my country). Thanks for your uplifting and motivating videos!
I start a load of laundry as soon as dinner is over(in theory that’s when no more clothes will get dirty for the rest of the day), and I switch it to the dryer before I go to bed. If I can’t sleep(pregnancy insomnia!), I fold it when it’s done, or I wait until morning. Everyone just has to find what works best for their own family. :-)
Hi here in New Zealand it depends what your water is like and some washing powders are better than others , but I've always done a load of washing at night, we hang ours out on the line first thing in the morning
Oh I want to try line drying something (anything!) I’ve heard the smell is just heavenly!☀️ I’m afraid our dog would ruin it by trying to play with it though🤣
Controversial?! That's funny! How many loads do they forget in the washer? 😂 I agree with throwing a load in at night and drying the next morning. I need to eventually switch to this, but doing cloth diapers twice a week for the last 4 1/2 years I have to do a ore rinse before setting it to wash so I have to do this in the mornings. I wash a different load daily as well. 🙌🏻 M sheets T cleaning cloths and towels W me and husband's clothes Th cloth diapers F Bigs (10 & 8 girls do their own load) Sat Littles (4 & 2 I do theirs 😉) Sun cloth diapers
@@TheDovesNest wow! Not that I didn't believe you, it's more that they're crazy. 🤣 If they don't smell I do the same thing! I don't wash my washing machine anywhere as near as you do (pretty cool you get a text when a load is done!), so I should take a look into those Afresh tabs.
I do one load of laundry a day. I start a load after I've unloaded the dishwasher and started my morning coffee..of course my kids r grown and out of the house..
@@TheDovesNest my old knees couldn't handle stairs...lol...but we just moved into our home a couple yrs ago...and I'm still so happy when I enter our home....
Me too!!! I do the same thing, and it's a game changer!!! I delay the cycle though, so it finishes at 6 am ready for me to deal with it.
You don’t need to explain to anyone. If it works for you, it works for you🤟🏻🤟🏻

OK This is the second comment I've read about a DELAY!!! WHAT?!?! I need to study my machine and see if I have one!

Nice video, I would like to see a video on cleaning cleaning tools.
Noted! I'll add it to my spreadsheet!

I didn’t know the delay button was a thing! Our machines don’t have it but I’m so jealous of those that do!
You’re so adorable! I’m also an overnight laundry person. Scandalous!👀
Thank you! We are such rebels!!🤣
For those not comfortable washing at night, sorting before bed. Pretreat laundry

I do the same and I’m Canada 🇨🇦 you save money on water doing it at night...never smells!
Yes! I’m from Las Vegas and using water in the day would cost a fortune, so we had to wash everything at night!

I love my delay button for this. I get it ready the night before then I delay start it for an hour before I wake up. But habits are life💕

love this video and your advises!! i also do laundry every day, there is no other choice🤷 have a great weekend🤗

makes sense to me, what would be the difference if I start mine and then go to work and deal with it when I get home
No difference. This is just the best time that works for me.😊

I guess you don't have neighbours close by or a big house where you don't hear the spinning cycle
I am loving your videos. But I don’t see any new ones. I am posting in 2024. Did you stop on the laundry baby step?
You said you have bin link I can’t find it
I leave it on the dryer and then I forget about it 🤷♀️🤣🤣
It happens to us all!!! I would do that when we used the communal washer/dryer in our condo! 🤦🏼♀️
