Actually Martin had a lot of good tropes. They were just blown out of proportion for the funny. 1 shenanay 2 gerome, romey Rome the pimp. 3. Brothaman from the 5th floor 4. Hustle man 5. Pam and Martin always talking down. 6 Tommy ain’t have no job but was ballin. 7 cole had a big woman. 8 Martin and Gina playing house. 9. Gina was winning while Martin was always scheming and between jobs. 10. Martin lived in da hood and everyone any character stepped out of the door it was a fight, argument, bum, etc.
This is really sad. When I was a child the top cartoon in America was Fat Albert. Then in 1981 or 82 Colors was released and ruined the minds of many Black Youth. Then they pushed out Groups like a Tribe Called Quest and brought in NWA. Life then became about money, Calling Girls juvenile names and thinking that a machine that shoots metal slugs is more worthy than the life you take with it.
These tv sitcoms like Family Matter, Martin, Living Single, New York Undercover, and Fresh Prince are great sitcoms in the black community in the 90s because I remember when I was kid.
Yeah he’s absolutely tripping I loved Martin living single NY undercover Fresh prince Family matters for all different reasons, but they was all positive black shows
Absolutely sista pretty much all the shows black shows during the '90s were positive but my favorite was ROC TV brother Charles s Dutton was the star what New York undercover was that heat

He must be seeking attention, I enjoyed family matters the earlier episodes, when they came along with the clone it began to go down hill for me, Laura fell in love with a clone instead of the real Steve 🙄🙄,
Look the bottom line was family mattes was a good show it was, but be truthful there are no needs like Urkel,and there are no dumb black folks like Waldo, not say ing there are not nerds or dumb black folks not like that, that is why it may have taken a back seat to other shows like Cosby A Different World etc but family matters had a wonderful run.
Martin and livin single wasn't hood at all. There was no drugs or trappin on those shows. WTF is he talking about?

Family Matters was excellent. Sure it soon became the Steve Erckle show and got away from the title, but it was great with FAMILY VALUES and lessons.

FM was more kid friendly. Great show just more Saturday morning cartoons era. Martin and the LS were more adult
