I. Love. Ukraine. Seriously. I have fallen in love with this beautiful Eastern European country, its mountain ranges, and warm hospitality. In this video, I want to show you around a village in the mountaind of Ukraine. The Hutsul people who live here have shown me such kindness... You're going to love it too.

I'm a Hutsul from Maramures mountains in Romania, Ruscova Valley, we still keep our dialect and traditions, even tho we live in different countries i was able to understand everything they spoke, and was surprised to tears by the song from the old lady, the hutsul song are very special and it kinda spoke to my heart. Thak you Eva for this vlog. And i salute all the hutsuls no matter where you live.
I am from Poland, living 35 years in USA. I understand everything they spoke too. Beautiful place. I have book with pictures and history of this land,
My Baba came from the region and spoke all the dialects.
Тоді пиши українською, якщо ти гуцул.
You are blessed people...except the war of course. The US & Russia;s ego's & Military Industrial Complex spills over. Bless you all & stay safe. Much Love
No politics, no ideology, just simple, salt of the earth people. I envy their simple life, their healthy food and strong family.
No politics or ideology? Really, please be accurate. This area was once inhabited by large numbers of hard working Jewish people. They were rounded-up and their homes and synagogues were burned. Most were killed by their neighbors. That was during the first half of the 20th century. No politics or ideology? Hardly.
I'm sorry to say that, but I think you don't understand the term ideology. If you have an ideal imagination of something, than you have an ideology. That idea of simple, salt of earth people is nothing but ideology. What you do not see is the hardship and the "dark" side of that way of life, e.g. superstition. Every single ideology has a "dark" side. It is silly to think that one ideology is better than another. The truth is, they are just different.
Eva killing it! Thanks for showing us a different side to Ukraine.
@78 29 Eva No, she does not work for intelligence😜
She is. It's the actually the ONLY side that matters. The mainstream media side is crap. This is how the world is and should be.
I'm just happy to see some aspects of life in other countries I could never have imagined...
@@rustydeveyra276 Yes, she came to my country and went to places that are considered reserves and dangerous areas as well as war zones. It is forbidden for me to visit those places. As a citizen, I cannot go to them and I have not seen them in my life. They are protected areas, but Eva is. I think that someone gives her all these powers, there are Europeans Others got in, I don't know how

The traditional ukrainien dress is absolutely beautiful. We should normalize wearing traditional clothing, it is part of culture. ❤️
I couldn’t agree more!
Normalize not caring about what society thinks and not just doing what is normal
I buy that idea, you know i actually love the Ukraine tradition, the little i know bout it, makes me wanna get a wife from there already😎😋😌

Dziękuję Ewo za przepiękne podróże w które nas, oglądających zabierasz. Życzę Ci "szerokiej drogi" w tworzeniu kolejnych filmów z wypraw.
OMG, It's an amazing situation even a perplex that Babushka had never left the village and still ended up living in several different countries because these lands throughout the ages and throughout the centuries even in the last 91 years of her life have been occupied by various different powers from Austro Hungarian empire to Poland to Germany to Russia and now finally they are back in the hands of Ukraine. Babushka stood tall and all the invading powers came and left, hence the proof "The world belongs to brave"
Wishing you a long and healthy life grandma.
looks like Eva got a little tipsy as the day went on. heheh
😅

My polish girlfriend unfortunately passed away suddenly. This brought tears to my eyes as she took me on an adventure to a village like this to meet her babushka...so many happy memories ive been trying to supress came flooding back in the most beautiful way. Thank you so so much.
I am from Slovakia and this reminds me of our culture so so much! ♥️🥺
I love it when you bring us to non-touristy places, this is a beautiful home!
Ukrainian people are so very kind and generous. Beautiful people. Peace from Alaska.❤️🙏🏼❤️
Umm I guess lmfao I’m Ukrainian
I'm from Ukraine and this brings so much memories...thank you for this video
Hello everybody ,from Romania !Thank you Eva for showing us the places less visited by tourists and introducing us to families with big hearts, welcoming and friendly. I think you are the only one who does this, I have never seen others show places like this.
Ласкаво просимо до України :) So happy to see you here! Eva, what you do is a true calling and an illustration of an authentic mission. I am absolutely ecstatic that you are on YOUR way. Big love from our Ukrainian hearts for you, brave Eva. The world indeed belongs to the brave.

Oh my. I would trade everything here to live in a place like that. The roads may be bad for commercial development, but they do keep the riff raff away. Simply stunning. Thank you.
Don't understand, why people dislike this type of video. The moment I am writing this comment, 2 dislikes I can see. This type of video is award wining documentary.
Aww thanks a lot!
Exactly my thoughts. What on earth is there to dislike ??? I am hoping these "dislikers" will tell us their reasons if they read this.
Yes, this is a lovely video, but a few dislikes is normal for a UA-cam video. Around 5 % dislikes is perfectly normal, and nothing to care about. There are probably several reasons for people to click dislike. 1. They dislike some of the content, for example they feel that it is too much drinking in the video. 2. They are new to the channel, just got the video recommended and found it to be of no interest to them and then they clicked "dislike" instead of "Not interested". 3. They clicked "dislike" by mistake. 4. They are having a really bad day, so they cannot enjoy the video properly, and thus clicks "dislike" because they don't realize that their bad feelings as nothing to do with the actual video.
@@GunnarCreutz Aaaahhh.....thanks for enlightening me 👌
My maternal grandfather was from the Carpathian Mountains in Ukraine, so I have wondered what it was like. Thanks so much for showing. I visited Ukraine down Dnieper River from Kiev to Odessa which is good choice for many tourists, but the countryside sounds very alluring.
I'm from Germany 🇩🇪 live in the USA now and looking at these vids makes me miss Germany even more 😢
We grew up living of the land, we had chickens, cows, pigs and farmed our own potatoes and veggies aso......
Our family would have dinners just like these, especially on the weekends.
I miss it sooo much 😢
She's in a remote Carpathian willage. I love that accent, it is really cool sounding.
So beautiful!
this woman smokes a lot of marijuana, of course
The women eat a lot of fresh cream and as a result become very buxom!
Watching this now and knowing what is going on in the world right now is really heartbreaking.... I hope the families from this vlog are okay. I really want to believe that ❤️
Thank you for recalling, how sweet the hospitality of Ukraine and its minorities is. Huculs are very special. I have never drunk so much and still being "fully operational" to dress culturally, going to theatres, opera and restaurants, sounding soberer than not. The secret is you need to eat local cuisine, at a local pace and always with local friends ♥ Never try it at home or alone :-) I love everything that Eva zu Beck does ♥
The smile in your eyes makes me fell in love every single time I watch your videos. You have a beautiful soul and energy, please never change that!!

Great video again! Hilarious how Eva looks a bit drunk the whole time :D but that's part of visiting Ukraine I guess :))

Beautiful places and wonderful people - very real and genuine. Reminds me of the Carpathian Romania. Thanks Eva!
Beautiful, Eva. The heart that you brought out in this video, the village, the people, are all so incredible! I wish.... Oh, how I wish that I could travel as you do! I just found your channel today. Absolutely fascinating. My people came from that area over 100 years ago. They came to Massachusetts, U.S.A.
Mine also, to NY 1905. I try to hold as much tradion as I can.

Hope to visit Ukraine myself. The people seems so great. Huge respect from Denmark 🇺🇦🇩🇰

Thats bs., everyone is escaping westwards from these dirt poor ukranian villages whoever can move. And no one will replace them.
I was brought to tears by these wonderful people and their wholesome, authentic culture in light of this terrible war!!! What a beautiful land the Carpathian mountains! I understand why people would live and die for such a paradise!!!
The places you visit are exactly the kind that I'd like to visit! Thank you for choosing such places to take us to Eva. Much love from Nagaland, India. ❤️❤️❤️

love their beautiful embroidery work.
And the beautiful pillows of the old lady, so nice.
The more travelogues I see the more it fascinates me that mountain life in Europe from the Pyrenees to the Carpathians and still further east is a spectrum of the same basic ancient culture .
Thank you for showing us all of these amazing places! Because of the care you put into making videos, no place should be ruined after you share it since you give us the real and authentic experience.
This is the most beautiful kind of tourism - approaching a place with curiosity and respect AND a desire to share the stories of that place with the rest of the world. I'm a foreigner who lives in Ukraine and it never ceases to amaze me how strong the traditions here are. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Eva. I truly appreciate traditional ways of life. This village truly has a rich culture.

Respect to you, and these people.

This episode has made me slightly emotional. What beautiful people. The lady at the end surrounded by different colours and patterns! All extremely inspiring and moving. Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful there! I wonder what the winters are like...looks pretty remote. Thanks for this great adventure!
It must be cold during the winter period, and they sleep above the stove.
I think the locals are always happy when you share, even if the place becomes too “tourist-y”, it’s helping the local economy
I feel terrible for having forgotten there's a war in Ukraine. Then again, it is a 'forgotten conflict'.
Acrually that could be a really good idea for Eva to do a video on. The state of things as they are, not what the western media tells us. I’d be willing to bet the situation is very different to that which you and I see in the media.

Wow, I had no idea the landscape was so beautiful there! (That's why we love your videos - learning new things.) And the handmade clothes, blankets & rugs are amazing, especially the 40 year old handmade skirt the mother gave her daughter for her wedding. Thanks Eva, for taking us to a beautiful place such like this....
The kitchen stove and the master bedroom are incredible!!! The whole house is truly amazing! Thank you for sharing this and thank you to the people who shared their home and land with the internet!
I come from Brooklyn, NY, the descendant of Polish immigrants. My uncle once thrust a wad of bills in my hand and told me to hurry and get over to the Ukrainian church and buy as many pierogis as I could. "They make the best pierogis, those old ladies."
The PBS TV station in Pittsburgh once aired a special about the churches in Pittsburgh. When they visited the Ukrainian church, the little old ladies were making pierogies in the church kitchen. The interviewer kept asking questions about the pierogies, and finally one lady blurted out in a thick accent, "'Pierogie' is Polish word! In Ukrainian is 'pierohie'!"
I love Ukraine 🇺🇦 and the good life!
Eva, I like this wonderful village and its surroundings.
What an amazing adventure for all who visit. Love so humble and gracious. Thanks for taking me there. ♥️
I love polish and Ukraine food. Sour cream and pirogues , blueberry blinses. Pear wine omg , the mountains are beautiful , the food is so good , the people are friendly and hard working. Bless them all.

Hi Eva, I come from a Hutsul family but from across the border, in Romania. Thanks so much for this video, especially the babushka reminded me of my own grandmother. She passed away this year and I couldn't come to her funeral because of covid travel restrictions. Miss the village so much!
I came from the Philippines and there we are also losing most of the traditions I've experienced when I was growing up, just sad. I would really like to experience a place like this, puts us back to our roots and traditions. Thank you for showing us this place, Eva. Please take care on your journeys, because not all places in this world are safe in my Military experience. Stay Safe!
Beautiful just, Eva. Well done to your vision of people living, in nature. I lived with the Sami for some time and similarly had old traditions which just sustain their beautiful existence.
