My Max had FIP. I had to him down yesterday. He had the wet form, fluid in his stomach. Saddest day in my life. He was 2 yrs old. This video helped me understand FIP. THANK YOU.
Had my boy Claude put to sleep yesterday, he was 4 yrs I never heard of this before either - I have had cats all my life and have never come across it - my husband and I are devastated
My cat had it he was 8 months old. He got epilepsy attacks, he was so weak. Had to put him down to end his suffering, the best thing we could do for him
@@cloversantos4397 I never had a chance to purchase one. Sadly my cat died last January 20 🥺 I hope this medicine become available in the market soon so cats with this kind of illness get a chance to live longer.
On October 2021 , my cat was having some problem while eating and breathing , so i went to vet and they found nothing and gave her some antibiotics and appetite boosters, on November i once again went to vet and they told she is having asthama but my cat was eating a bit , on 18 jan 2022 i found my cat is having breathing problem .so i immediately went to vet and after doing some X-rays and USG they found fluid in her chest and removed some of it , they told me she is having FIP , they put her on pedinisolone inj./ ALDACTONE tab./ AMOXIRUM inj. For 5 days only . I continuously went to vet after 7 days and yesterday they do x-ray of her , it showed a decrease in her fluid ,she was eating good and was grooming herself as well from 18 jan. but from past 3_4 days she is eating less and drinking lots of water , I'm confused what she actually is having ??? Please reply 🙏🙏
GS-441524 is the only antiviral that works against FIP. It’s not 100 percent but it has a high percentage numbers. Other than that what your vet is doing is easing the symptoms.

I am really sorry. We are going through this. May I ask how long it took for your cat to pass away (or being put down) after the diagnosis, please?
I put down my Rita, 1 year's old yesterday. She had FIP, wet form. I am hoping her sister cat will not be affected.
There is a treatment on the black market and it works well, it is called GS441524, my cat does well.
