Great to hear that u guys watch Asianometry as well. I've been watching his videos for 2 or 3 yrs. Awesome channel! I have Chip War in my wishlist in Audible. Can't wait to give it a listen. Great vid as always Cheers 🍻
Great insights! I was looking at the company from a different angle. If Japan doesn't impose export restrictions with China, Tokyo Election would have a pretty unfair advantage over its competitors from the US
This is true. This far, it seems there has been Collab between US, Japan, Netherlands, etc, but that could obviously change real quick. Either way, we are TEL having some key advantages.
Tokyo electron's new NAND etching equipment is set to disrupt LAM research's monopoly on those. I read Samsung is already shipping their machines. It would eat away 15% of Lam research's share in this process
Good question. OTC stocks ending in a "Y" are typically an ADR. Those ending in an "F" are the foreign listed shares trading OTC. international.schwab.com/investment-products/adrs-foreign-ordinaries-canadian-stocks
They have a number of manufacturing facilities in the U.S. (California, Oregon, New York), and others located around the world close to their fab customers
I have to address this… you said during the video that there was going to be a stock slip on April 1st for this company but it never happened… was it a mistake?!
looking into Tokyo Electron at the moment. gotta say this video did not age well - short-term that is. stock price sinking like a rock in the sea. gonna spend a few hours in research now. what happend last few months? if it was just coming down from evaluation too high and long-term prediction hold true this might be the time to invest
If you listen closely, at 22:36 she mentions that they do expect a pullback in 2024. "We do expect TOELY total shareholder returns to be down a bit in calendar year 2024 before rallying in 2025"

Thank you, much appreciated! We love Asianometry, super informative content, and the dry wit is top notch!
How about Lazertec in Japan, mast chip inspection.
TSMC is the semiconductor king😎 The Japanese provided a lot of support and welcomed TSMC with open hands, whereas the US government...

Can you look at ASM? (not ASML). They focus on ALD equipment which will be used more often in advanced process nodes.

Couple other Japanese chip or chip-related companies that aren't covered much Rohm and Ajinomoto - I think these would be interesting to look into
Thank you ❤
Thanks you!💯
Love your channel.
How are TOELY and TOELF different? Aside from radically different prices, what are the benefits of buying TOELY over TOELY?

@@intercomposed1308 So did I. Only thing I worry about is if China invades Taiwan it could ruin the entire industry temporarily.
The USA should make all of them for ourselves, and never depend on other nations for their supplies
USA isn’t that smart.
You want to turn back globalization? Then good luck selling the end product to foreign countries 😉
