Chris, this is exactly what my pro asked me to do, as I was cupping in the backswing & clubface open on the way down. Eradicated my over the top & started hitting solid shots with penetrating ball flight. Thanks for all your tips & keep them coming
hi chris just a quickie. ..watched your vuds a lot.....today it paid off with my first ever (43years of playing)...eagle 7 iron 140yard to an elevated green I chiang mai Thailand. thank you so much for your tips!
This tip and the one you did a while back on hitting a few inches in front of the ball with the irons has changed my game. Now hitting 5 iron a tad over 180m with very little effort but loads of compression. Thanks again mate! Keep them coming!
it does really made a huge difference in my swing. I feel like my clubface is a little closed during the take away but that was how it was supposed to be. Not many teaching pros comment on this.. Thank you Chris~
I've struggled with poor impact for ages because of too much wrist set. Lately I've tried to not set my wrists at all, what a difference it's made, thanks Chris this will give me the confidence to continue what I'm doing.
GReat class Chris. My own pro Danny was changing my backswing in the same way. Initially it felt a bit uncomfortable but i can see i can hit the ball further with less effort and much more consistency. Now it's a matter of exercise and engraining the changes into my game till it feels natural. Keep up the work, your the best. KInd regards, Patrick Surmont, Belgium
Thanks for this one Chris. I definitely suffer from a cupped wrist at the top, and get past parallel especially with the longer clubs. Just did this drill with a mirror, and it is obvious with a flat lead wrist that it will be impossible to over swing. Great work as always! Taking this to the range today...
Thanks Chris. Very helpful. If the tension in the left hand wrist is acting as one of the hinges/governors of a right-handed swing, is there something that is in the right-hand wrist that can help in the feel of a swing? Would you expect to have a more loose right hand wrist?
Thanks Chris! Do you feel like you consciously cock your wrists in the backswing? As in pulling up with your right index finger or wrist, and pushing down slightly with the last two fingers on your left hand or wrist? This has always bothered me. Some day don't think about it. Some day ye they intentionally chick their wrists. I've struggled with cupping my left wrist at the top of my backswing forever! I've managed to become a scratch golfer in spite of it, but my consistency is not as good as I'd like. Thanks for all your great lessons! Greg
Fabulous. Very helpful Chris!
I’ve had more trouble with understanding how to use my wrist in my swing. I’m heading to the driving range to set what you taught. Thanks so much.

Your giving me loads of great things to work on!! This combined with curtailing my overswing will make a massive improvement in my consistency.
Spot on. Brilliant!
