  • A video of what I did to make a locking storage box under the seat of a 2020 Jeep Gladiator with the existing storage unit with no lid. I added a lid and will add locks to it. Thanks for watching.

What kind of wood did you wind up using? Looks great, looking to do this to mine this weekend.

Matt Asman it was a piece or birch wood we had laying around. About 1/2 thick. I hope yours works well for you. Thanks fir watching.

Still gotta worry about someone stealing the Jack and the bolts. It should've come with a locking storage bin, instead they make it hard on us. They also should've made a locking storage bin that covered up the Jack and bolts

I installed locks on mine. Not in this video. But there are locks installed. True the jack and bolts are still exposed. I agree with you on the storage bin to cover jack and bolts. Or made the seat it self lock down and only be able to unlock it via owner of the vehicle. Like the keyless entry.

Did you ever decide on a lock? I'm following your same basic plan with mine.

Yes, here is my video. If you don’t want to this rout. At least it will give you some ideas.

nice concept - may do similar, curious if you've figured out a clean lock option for the lids? didnt see a followup anywhere, thanks

I will make a follow up ASAP on that. I’ll show what I did and maybe it will help others come up with better ideas.

Your supposed to give the tool kit to the new owner. Unless you scraped it. How many f#cking took kits do you need. Did you keep the owner’s manual as well.

I can have as many tool kits as I want. I paid $38,000 for the Jeep and kept the old tool kit. They can get a new one from the dealer or order them on Amazon at a cheap price. I hope your day goes better and not bitter.
