Hope you don't mind, but there are some things I wish to point out for clarity, and for constructive criticism if anything else: 14. imo, it doesn't make sense for them to *include* the ability to drown, especially if they don't provide a clear indicator (like an air meter); they got rid of the stage timer to encourage exploration, so a drowning mechanic would just work against it, tbh 11. I think a better way to test this would be: P1 crouches, P2 crouches, P1 stands - this way, you'd see if it's actually tied to whoever first crouched, or if it's just when *someone* is crouched (hint: after doing my own testing, it's while anyone is crouched, not priorising the first) 9. I've honestly no clue how that level opened up for you - it seems like a glitch to me, as there's an *official* way to have it appear on all worlds (excluding Special), being to complete the game, iirc (I would test this myself, but don't feel like restarting my save file because Nintendo didn't think to allow more than one per user XDD)
11. tested this a lot and is shown in the vid so not sure what you mean 9. conclusion was that there are multiple ways to unlock these levels not just one
The Coins Galore stages appeared for me when I beat Bowser, they all appeared at once after starting my save file back up after the end credits. I haven't gotten a game over so I didn't know that they could appear any other way. 👀
Last thing. I noticed that when in Elephant form flicking an enemy such as Goomba or Goombrats a different sound effect happens depending on the position your in. If you stand up to attack, the sound is completely different than if you were crouching insted. This doesn't seem to be the case for all enemies cause the Koopa's sounded the same no matter if I swated them standing or crouching as an elephant.
@@drwilynot related to this comment but im kinda curious about nuber 1 there is a stage in i think world 4 that requires you to go over the flag pole to find a secret exit if an in visible wall is what keeps you from drilling under it in other levels the would you be able to drill under it in this one
Ok, about that last one. On specific stages where there's a secret exit where you go into the fore ground through a pipe, (specifically the stage "secrets of shots mansion") there's some pipes in the middleground that may be accessible through the drill powerup. Hope it works, but haven't tried it myself.
Sry bout that autocorrect screwed me over it was secret of shova mansion and there were pipes behind the flagpole (normal one) and I wondered what him would happen with the drill on that
@lilharm that one in the original was a different secret exit from the top of the screen, and the one in wonder had a different secret exit with the shova and the breakable blocks. Hope you understand!
I'd note there IS a flag that you technically can go underneath: the secret exit flag in Bulrush Coming Through! actually has a hidden path underneath that seemingly serves no purpose (though I think it's for the bulrush to go through); there's a talking flower in said path. Also, you may want to retest myth no.1 in a level that DOES let you go over the flagpole, like the one in A Final Uncharted Area: Poison Ruins (and yes you can go over it without being in wubba form)
yeah true there you can go underneath which i covered in my first video and also the second thing you mentioned was mentioned by me, i think, there are exceptions to the rule but in normal circumstance you cant
There're also many other enemies that are immune to bubbles. The main category of immune enemies are the spiky ones, e.g. spinies and pokies, and the mummy enemies also can't be killed by it, though it DOES make them turn around. Also Maw Maws eats the bubble outright.
For the last one, what about levels where you can go past the flagpole? One that springs to mind is the one with the wonder effect thst causes snow to break the 1st flagpole.
I had a similar thought to this one. unless the base at the bottom of the pole has collision that extends below ground, the drill might be able to under it, I think
There’s also a level in Fungi Mines where you use the Wubba form to go over the flagpole. Now I know myself that there’s nothing back there and the game stops you from taking the secret route to the real exit if you wall jump over the flag, but if that flag has no invisible wall to stop you, can you then go under it with the drill?
Follow-up-Question for burrowing under Flags. Does it work in stages, where there is an area behind the Flagpole? For example the Bullrush-Stage or that one ruin in Fungi Mines?
I think the only thing controlling Wiggler’s speed is rubber-banding, as in how far ahead or behind him you are. I noticed he got a bit more lax when I tried to win the Mountaineering race by walking with the Fast Dash badge. I actually saw Yoshi’s ‘rider gets powered up’ animation quite a bit, since I did a bunch of levels in my playthrough using 2 controllers: 1 as a Yoshi and another as someone else. Even doing the entire final level as Elephant Mario & Green Yoshi. Not only does getting a Game Over spawn a “Coins Galore!” on the World Map of the level you G.O.’d in, but one spawns in each besides the Special World when the final level is first beaten. The Drill Mushroom is essentially a double entendre reference to SMG2: the buffed mechanics of the Spin Drill with a design comparable to and name partially taken from the Rock Mushroom. When I first clicked on this video, I hadn’t seen any of his content in awhile and the thumbnail made me think he did stuff like mod a Wonder Flower to be placed right next to an early Maw-Maw. My hopes were dashed more by that not being the case than by the Maw-Maw and Flower he DID use being incompatible.
I had no clue that the special coin stages spawned if you got a game over. I never ran out of lives, and all of the coin stages appeared after I had beaten Bowser.
Coins galore appears in some levels regardless of dying or not as far as I know, cause I’ve never gotten a game over in my playthroughs and got a coin galore level
Excellent video as always mate, impressive that you found that loop hole with those maw-maws... speaking of which, I don’t want to be suggesting too many all the time but I've thought of another myth... Can Maw-maws eat each other?
Coins Galore appeared for me multiple times without a gameover. It's like the coin ships in Mario Bros 3, but i'm not sure what the true condition for it to appear is. Unless beating the game was treated like a game over?, cause when I went back to try to 100% is when I saw it first appear in several worlds.
5:58 I saw this level after finishing the game, not dying. YOSHICEPTION! I want to know this too. I don't think I got confirmation on this even though I saw people joke about it. I guess big Mario is several times stronger than his small self.
5:53, I didn’t get a single game over at all in my playthrough of Mario Wonder and I was still able to play the Coins Galore levels. So, it’s not locked behind game overs
theres a secret animation detail in the end credits. when in the playable credits, if you don't move the character, they will clap and bop their heads to the music
Always love your videos! Is it possible for a Robbird to steal a shell or an Item Ballon? Or is it possible for Yoshi to eat a Fireball and a Lava Bubble and spit them back out?
Wiggler can be slowed down but not using the standard power ups, in other words it requires modding, if you are transformed into a platform(puffy lift) then it collides with you and you can stop it temporarily and even clip it into the ground
You actually can go past the flag pole in one level of the original Mario bros game. There’s nothing but empty ground after the flag but at least it’s possible. And I believe it was also possible in at least one of the new super Mario bros games but I don’t remember which one.
Partway through the video I thought to myself “This guy reminds me a lot of that one Dr. Wily guy I used to watch when I was younger. Wonder what he’s up to these days” Then your username showed up in the video and I spit out my drink
While watching SGB, I noticed something. If an Elephant is holding a shell and uses the Parachute Cap, they will hold the shell in their legs since their hands will be, well, holding the parachute.
I think Konks can destroy power ups (not in balloon form) including the Wonder Flower. Hoppos can do the same thing with powerups, but I don’t think the Wonder Flower works. You can still try it.
I noticed that the balloon power up doesn't always vanish even though you don't collect it. I noticed when playing Up 'n' Down with Puffy-lift. After the Wonder event, I activated my balloon power while standing on the giant Puffy-lift that blocks the exist, but ended up falling before I can catch it. So I tried climbing the side of the wall to see if I could get it or if it would vanish. I actually discovered you can still collect it. If you activate the balloon under the Puffy-lift, then you can just climb the wall or just go back through the same way where the wonder was reclimb to the top and recollect it. Even the Puffy-lift can pass through the balloon without popping it, of course.
The coins galore levels don’t only appear after getting a game over. I beat the story mode without getting a game over, and after defeating bowser, there was a coins galore level in every world!
Hey, myth here. The bottom of the flagpole can actually be stood on, and if you have the crouching high jump badge equipped, you can actually touch the top of the flagpole😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
To number 15, he can actually be slowed down but just without power ups here is how, if you are way behind he will slow down and different speed depending on how far you are
I noticed in the level Up 'n' down with Puffy-lift if you choose not to activate the wonder flower, then the talking flower will Wisper to you that you're forgetting something.
There are these character specific hidden Blocks. Is there a pattern to it? Regarding the placement or content. I always got a flower coin with Luigi and the placements feel kinda predictable. I only found yellow toad an green yoshi Blocks by pure chance.
I've got the secret level by beating the game, I haven't got a game over before and I was able to play it. I found it in world 1 after I beat the game. Could have been there for a while and I just now found it after I beat the game, but I have no clue! Keep up the great work and if possible let me know if this is common!
I'm pretty sure that the Elephant power-up doesn't affect the speed of the puffy pink platforms in some levels, despite the elephant being heavier theoretically
In the level Unreachable Treasure, it’s possible to get up there using the Parachute cap to wall jump up the pipe, and if you do, you get a secret message from the Talking Flower. Also, is it possible to use the Bubble Flower on a Hoppo?
You say that it isn't possible to get past the flagpole without touching it, but what about that one level in Deep Magma Bog where the fossils come to live in the wonder segment?
Mario not drowning makes sense when you remember that the air meter has only appeared in 3d mario games like Mario 64 and Mario Galaxy, he never had an air meter in 2d games
2D Mario never drowns, 2D Sonic however... You’ve gotta admit that drowning theme in the Sonic games is catchy... Mario doesn't drown in 2D games due to the fact some water levels are underwater from start to end, 3D Mario does drown because the 3D games are made to be more realistic (although not much) and it adds more challenge to levels where going underwater is optional and you sometimes need to go deep and race against the clock before you drown
For the last myth in the video (the drill under flagpole one) would it work in the final uncharted area level? Because you are forced to pass the fake flag in that level.
There are a few areas where the flag poles get destroyed if you use wonder flower so you can pass them. I wonder if there would be a way to pass them without using the wonder flower
I never got a game over once in my playthrough of Mario Wonder, but I still got to play coins galore. It was when I beat the game did the level appear. Maybe a game over just triggers it early?
Wiggler CAN be slowed down.... if he's ahead of you and offscreen, he slows down automatically, in a sort of reverse rubberbanding. (likewise, if you are ahead, he speeds up, and actually has specific animations for said speeding up)
if you use yoshi’s tongue on the bubble flower power up and spit it out it will come out without the bubble and will act like the fire flower (this is the only definite way i know that will pop the bubble flower’s bubble around the actual power up itself)
I never noticed this cause I don't ever use a random button. But when selecting Random for a Character, it will add stars around the character it chose. But these stars don't happen if you choose the character itself. Plus, for some reason, when I select random it only gives me the characters who can use power-ups, I tried Random for about 30min and it only gave me 7 characters the same ones who can use power-ups.
Here is a myth!:in world 1-1 make sure you have the add ! Block badge there is a secret propeller flower that leads to a cloud block island but go to the right and hut the ! Block and a vine will come out and climb up it and you will find a secret sub level!
Is there a way to get the Sound Off? Badge before beating the game? Think about it. There are no flower coins, wonder seeds, or goal poles in Bowser’s Rage Stage, so theoretically, you can get it early.
In the level, beware of the rifts, during the wonder affect you can see the giant mushrooms in the background snapping in half when using the pow blocks

Can the dolphin kick badge work while in goo
i have an idea: will letting an upwards konk lift you while you have the drill mushroom burrow you into the ceiling, or crush you?
I never got a game over once in my playthrough of Mario Wonder, but I still got to play coins galore. It was when I beat the game did the level appear. Maybe a game over just triggers it early?
Wiggler CAN be slowed down.... if he's ahead of you and offscreen, he slows down automatically, in a sort of reverse rubberbanding. (likewise, if you are ahead, he speeds up, and actually has specific animations for said speeding up)
yeah oke fair but its not like we can hurt him or slow him down ourselves
#8 It’s more likely There’s a Boolean variable called “lava” which when set to true, lava kills you. Otherwise it’s just re-textured water.

Sleeping Goomba: *wakes up* AAAAAAAASSSSSASSSSWCCSVGSGGSBNDNNDNSNSNSNN- *bumps into other Goomba* What’s good man?
if you use yoshi’s tongue on the bubble flower power up and spit it out it will come out without the bubble and will act like the fire flower (this is the only definite way i know that will pop the bubble flower’s bubble around the actual power up itself)
I like to imagine Mario can only drown in the 3D games.
Bro the thumbnail was so funny my blind friend laughed at it😂😂😂
lmao well yeah this is a KILLER thumbnail
I never noticed this cause I don't ever use a random button.
But when selecting Random for a Character, it will add stars around the character it chose.
But these stars don't happen if you choose the character itself.
Plus, for some reason, when I select random it only gives me the characters who can use power-ups, I tried Random for about 30min and it only gave me 7 characters the same ones who can use power-ups.
weird....
Here is a myth!:in world 1-1 make sure you have the add ! Block badge there is a secret propeller flower that leads to a cloud block island but go to the right and hut the ! Block and a vine will come out and climb up it and you will find a secret sub level!

Is there a difference if you hit an invisible block with its corresponding character rather than just hitting it with any character?
Is there a way to get the Sound Off? Badge before beating the game? Think about it. There are no flower coins, wonder seeds, or goal poles in Bowser’s Rage Stage, so theoretically, you can get it early.
In the level, beware of the rifts, during the wonder affect you can see the giant mushrooms in the background snapping in half when using the pow blocks
Well, not really. When I saw it, the mushrooms stayed in their exact place they were just heavily knocked over
You need to hit it 2 to 3 times
