Day 1 was magical, bicycles in the mist! I can't believe that I rode the entire week without seeing you guys. I got spoiled this being my first RAGBRAI; NO bad weather! I truly hope RAGBRAI 52 is hilly as well, Pump it Up, Glide on Down! Perfect balance of exertion then rest! You two are a beautiful couple, I love your content!
Hey Ron, Totally agree, the bikes riding into fog is such a majestic sight. It is unfortunate we didn't run into each other, but there's always next year. Congrats on finishing your first RAGBRAI. I suspect next year will be a more northern route which likely means less climbing. But no matter where you ride, Iowa isn't flat so there are always some nice rollers to ride. Thanks for the kinds words, we are fortunate to have each other and to be able to share a love of cycling and adventure. Thanks so much for watching. Enjoy the Ride

Hey Guys!! It was a great day for sure and the kind of day that makes for great memories. What a blast we had at the end of the day cheering on the riders and drinking "free beer". Thanks for helping make that day so good. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hi Katherine, We also love the puffy clouds and blue sky in Iowa. Our only experience with Iowa is RAGBRAI but over the last 10 years we've fell in love with it's scenery and it's people. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey KP, We are so happy you're watching BBB Adventures. Thanks for the support. RAGBRAI is such a special time for us and we are glad we have a way to share it. More to come, please stay tuned. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride

@@BBB_Adventures There wasn't a line when I got there either !! You're correct they ussually have a very long line. The burrito was wonderful!! I ate there twice on Ragbrai this year.
Hey Matt! Day 1 was a great day indeed. Thanks for being patient as we worked to get the RAGBRAI series started. That last climb to camp was unexpected and unwelcomed but we all got it done. The beer at camp was a good motivation to get to the top. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Greer, It really was. We'd never seen bra pong before but it was really fun. The redneck water park looks like something we used to do when I was a kid. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
It was also nice to see the RAGBRAI Dream Team (young kids taking up biking with coaches and donated bikes) all week. I understand that if they complete the trip (RAGBRAI) they get to keep the bike!
You are correct. It's a good way for them to be active early in life and develop goals and the best part is they are real bikes without motors and batteries. Saw too many of those ridden by teens and younger adults throughout the week and I saw RAGBRAI vets in their senior years riding old steel commuter bikes loaded with bags. What's wrong with that picture?!?!
Hey Steve, Yep, I believe the bikes are donated by Bike World and if the kids complete the program the bikes are theirs to keep. It's an awesome program. We interviewed a few of the kids and adults from Dream Team a few years ago. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Andrew, As you point out, the Dream Team program is fantastic and makes a huge impact on these young people's lives, often times changing the trajectory of their future. Definitely a program worthy of support. I also love seeing the older folks riding their old school bikes on RAGBRAI. Hopefully that's my future.
Hey Cheryl, RAGBAI is always such a great week for us and as soon as it's over we are looking forward to the next one. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Happy this is finally out! I missed out this year to ride the GAP + C&O and I'm pumped to watch your footage. Thanks for sharing! Looks like it started off great!
Hi Kathryn, We are sorry to hear you missed RAGBRAI, however the GAP and C&O is on our list of future rides. I hope it was a great for you as it looks to be. We are happy to hear you are excited for BBB Adventurer's coverage of RAGBRAI. Thanks so much for the support. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
I've been impatiently waiting for folks to upload their RAGBRAI adventures. I'm about to curl up with a cup of tea, embroider, and be happy I'm not dealing with those hills.
Hey Jo, Thanks for being patient for us to get to our RAGBRAI episodes posted. We had to get through the Triple Bypass episodes first. We hope you enjoyed Day 1 and you stay tuned for much more. For us the hills were tolerable in part because of all the training I did for the Triple Bypass in Colorado. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Love the music selections again. I sure miss the idea of all you have to do each day is ride a bike. Team 985 whoot whoot. I have to agree the worst hills are in the towns.
Hey Dave, RAGBRAI really is a special time since all you do is ride your bike while most of everything else is taken care of. Too bad real life can't be closer to that. Team 985....awesome people and so fun. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride

Hey Craig, We do love the morning Iowa fog. It adds such a cool vibe to the morning riding. Too bad it created condensation on our cameras. I figured Ankeny was fairly big, but I was trying to joke with those guys. We had a good time chatting with them. I'm sure you get a fair amount of fog in Florida, but we missed you in Iowa. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey Ben, That's awesome you saw yourself. In some ways there are so many people on the ride and in others it seems like a small world. Part of the magic of RAGBRAI. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
I have family in Red Oak, and I was tempted to sign up for this year. But the hills, and more hills, and even more hills. Just kind of well, NOPE ;) Plus I was not in very good shape. So next year, if its a northern route, which it should be. Then I will sign up. Looks like you had fun. Oh, that river you crossed right before Red Oak. I've crossed it many times, in a car :) Stay safe.
Almost certain it will be a northern ride next year which is flatter. If it made you feel any better, I went 100% self-support this year and rode through some towns twice including Red Oak. The hills weren't bad throughout the week though I got tired of them on the ride home through Indianola.
Hey James, There were a lot of hills and the Red Dragon does OK but tandems are better on flats and descents. Luckily I'd done a lot of training for the Triple Bypass ride in Colorado so we managed the hills fairly well. River crossings in Iowa are always beautiful. I agree that the chances are good the route will be northern next year so we hope to see you there. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Hey!! So glad you enjoyed this episode. What a great day that was. We also wished everyday was a RAGBRAI day, but on the other hand, part of what makes it so special is it's only once a year.
