I had to watch the 'series' again: so many very interesting build options. Mr. Simon, I see many amateur astronomers stating that they are building a new observatory, when in fact they build NOTHING. They have purchased a pre-built product and with a screwdriver and a wrench, they assemble an observatory. You are the real deal, and you have created a real masterpiece. I'm preparing to build a new observatory this coming spring - the slab has been poured, but I ran out of good weather to continue. (I'm in Canada) I will utilize some of your great ideas, and as you have done, take my time to ensure that the end product is excellent. Thanks again, Mr. Simon. Excellent video and as many of your commenters have stated, your work man ship is extremely good. Be safe and clear skies.

Hi Thomas, thanks for watching! Yeah the rigid foam board (Celotex) insulation has much higher insulation properties! Probably a bit more expensive, but works well! During the summer, my garden shed is so hot I can’t go in it, but the obsey (which is basically a shed with a moving roof!) it’s cool when you go in! Helps keep an even temperature!
