Brilliant! Have you used this approach to make a gear/clothesline that you connected at both ends? Seems like it would be easy to just throw another soft shackle on other end and attach to whichever loop gave you the tension you wanted. I have a hank or two of thin dyneema at home that I know have plans for. Thanks!
That's a clever system. The "No Hardware" is a little misleading, because the toggle on the pack is technically a piece of hardware and is necessary, right? Do you have a total weight of the line including the toggle piece on the pack? Thanks!
Well the plastic is not hard LOL. Semantics-hardware usually means a metal gadget like a clip or pull or carabiner. The toggle really falls under the definition of a button like on a garment. It functions like the button knot, but better tactile feel. It weighs under an ounce.
I've used another button knot on my pack with good success. A toggle would be a little easier to set up, but if you don't want to use something "hard" the knot works good.

Hello! Is it possible to order one of these from you?
Yes sir I make these. facebook.com/myerstek/
So still need a knot
I think he means you're not having to make a knot every time you want to hang the pack, it is part of the system already.
You said no knots. Great idea though.
Yes, thanks
