This was the best episode of the podcast! I really like how they went deep about being a working mother and either or not to have kids because I’m at that stage of my life. Episode out it into perspective for me thank you. 😊
love hearing about pregnancy near to 40 it's more common now and resonates to hear ❤
I think it's great that it's an option now but I do worry about the health of the child as that is the most important thing. But as long as it's medically viable then I'm all for it as it gives women more flexibility in their life
Great topic as a lot of people I know are in this boat. ❤
It’s not good to start having children pushing 40. Feminism has brainwashed women into thinking they can just wait and hold off and hook up with whoever.
In my immediate world, it seems to be trending towards being the norm
The problem is if you don't have money these aren't even options :(
I don't even understand how I'm hearing all of this, I literally have the same fertility journey AND pregnancy journey as Anjelah, I'm currently doing the ultrasounds hoping baby is ok for growth in my last two months. Thanks for sharing your story.
Wow that’s crazyyy , happy for you 😊
I had the ultrasounds every week as well for a small baby! Good luck to you 💕🫶🏽 currently 4 weeks postpartum and my baby is healthy wishing the same for you!
36:24 Annie speculating about 6 month siblings…but her Max….who she never..or talks to….and kicked of the womb or whatever …who kicked who out…now no mention of it…But yeah…one would have crazy abandonment issues…Left Alone…don’t kill though….just pondering myself…
5 months postpartum and this has me in my feels. Love to all the mommies and mommy friends there to support
that nail salon joke is one of the first stand ups i remember seeing online and it stuck with me forever! ty sluggies for having anjelah on, another beautiful honest and open conversation
We can never have more children as we wanted but I don't care. We're blessed with our (college sophomore) baby. My wife's emergency histerectomy was life-saving. My girls are everything. All this talk of conceiving was a surge of memories for me.
I want to also chime in for the women who are unable to have a baby. It's ok! I fell in love with a man who already had a child and now I am a Stepmom!
Congratulations to all the mothers out there! 💓
This episode had me in tears when Angela gets emotional about her sister and after birth help. As a mom of 3 littles and full time worker this def had me in my feels. My sisters and I lean on each other during this parenting journey
When Anjelah talks about always having to adjust as your child grows-she is absolutely fucking right. Stress comes w parenthood. There’s no way around it. And if you have more than one kid, you know that you will need to adjust to that individual child’s needs. It’s adjustment after adjustment lol
Love the mom talk 💘
I sooooo related to the "did you always breathe like that" part
Anjelah's nail salon bit will never die, it's just too undeniably funny.
8:50, comedy award winning UA-cam moment
For filming and editing, starring Annie Lederman
I looked up Superfetation, less than 10 cases ever!!!! Thank god
Terrifying
how brutal that the fertility clinic essentially scammed her. rather than provide well-rounded care and ask her simple questions about her/her partners lifestyles and supplements, they were ready for her to dish out more $$$ for another round
That’s a GREAT FUCKING POINT. I think she said they did put them on ice after, but still after his 3-6 months off test. None of the embryos were viable after mixing. But still they coulda let them know to at least not waste time…
Theirs only one person in this podcast that’s fit to give advice about babies. The Mother. I like how she says something and the other 2 that aren’t mothers go opposite right away 🤦🏻

I’ve heard your Cold Stone Creamery story so many times
that I think of you whenever I see a soft serve machine.
“If I can be the dad, I’d have kids.” Next TT shirt
This is one of my favorite episodes hands down. Angela is a fking rockstar 😭❤️❤️❤️ so many insightful and enriching takes in this one that have me thinking about my own life ❤️ love you all
I loved this conversation, thank you ladies !!
I agree with Annie having a baby in a rented space feels unstable to me. I want my child to be in a home where he can grow in. It’s a matter of stability, that being said I was an apartment baby
I lived in an apartment when my son was born. That was my inspiration to get my ass into a house. Don’t expect everything to be perfect in the beginning. Everything will fall into place
Great great great great great great pod Ladies ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ thank you so much for being vulnerable and sharing the sensitive information and feelings about new motherhood. ❤❤❤
Dang can't relate to any of the pregnancy stuff 😅
It can be a learning moment tho
As a 31 year old mom of 3, this is my fav episode.
Good show for the women! 👍🏻
Anjela Johnson Reyes fkn awsom❤❤❤❤
I absolutely fell in love with Anjela after hearing her on Mayim's podcast and obsessed. I related so much to her Christian experience, her experience with her father, and the interest in The paranormal. She's amazing and I'm so happy she was on.
Annie dropping that she 💩 her pants the other day and no one follows up!! 😢
fantastic episode. Especially loved hearing Anjelah talk about how the time she spent in covid led her to change her mind.
Thanks Sluggies! 💖
This was a really good episode💯 keep it up ladies💯😎
One of my favorites, so warm and real ❤
omg thank you for fixing the rug. :)
What a wholesome episode sprinkled with the usual funny af Annie jokes 💖
Such a good ep!
Thanks ladies 💜💜💜💜
This episode is a great meditation on setting an intention and then, while 💯 putting in the work, also not micromanaging how to get from A to B.
I really am so glad to hear this part of the story (am at 46:00) and how if you really put in the work to make yourself healthy, you can achieve natural pregnancy and tbh this was totally what I needed to hear
Loved this episode! A❤
I just wanna say as a long time fan (never missed an episode since day 1) I think the show quality has improved so much with the new producers. They cleary care about the show, they contribute, have great chemistry with the girls and you can just tell how much effort they put into their jobs. Love the new crew! Love the girls! See u in Van this Thursday, Annie! ❤
Agreed. I love the feminine energy they bring. I feel like the best parts of the hosts and guest are really coming thru. Hearing topics the fans want and such. 🙌🏼🩷🫶🏼
Exactly, there’s a good flow to the show now. And we don’t have Carlos randomly flirting with khal or his random outbursts.
The zoom in on the flipped happy face carpet was weirdly hilarious and I appreciated it
What a kind, smart, emotionally intelligent person
Woooow one of my favorite episodes. Loved hearing Angela’s story and insights on motherhood and just her whole journey 💗
It’s so insane she didn’t suspect she had fibroids or endometriosis! they kick my ass! I love Anjelah ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow! Awesome conversation! Loved this. Kinda made me think about babies, I’m in my 30’s
Great episode❤
powerful episode!
Esther has been making the rounds on other Podcasts’ this week. P.S. we need more Annie stories or I’m gonna Kms
To anyone waiting for the RIGHT time to have a baby, it won’t happen. You just gotta do it. Nothing will drive you more as a person than having the opportunity to mold your child.
I would guess the second trimester hormone boost for sexy time helps re establish or build intimacy in preparation for the baby coming...that's when you'll be most vulnerable and in need of protection from an evolutionary standpoint.
it would be available if we had family extended family and friends, neighbor's true community and an affordable ability to live. we are from this fucking planet we shouldn't have to pay to be alive here its fucking insane.
I had the same revelation during Covid after consistently hustling. 2-3gigs a day. 40-80hr weeks. Still found some luck in small gigs during the pandemic but. Really made me step back and realize that 😌 jobs don’t give af if we live or die why am I living for work. I value my time more and wish more people had made that click. It seems like we really went thru it all for nothing.
No wayyy I’m having kids in this fucked world tho lol
Having babies is stressful, there is no way around it. It's traumatic to your entire being. It's also worth it. So strange.
Agree. Even listening to this pod is so stressful.
The dichotomy of life. There’s no joy without pain, no light without darkness, no life without death. Parenthood is so hard yet so fulfilling
I haven’t watched this yet but YAY Angela Johnson!! I love her nails bit
It's crazy cause all guys have to do it come
In Sweden moms get 480 days of paid parental leave when a child is born...
Julian either yawned or groaned 😅😅😅
I got to witness the famous joke at Zanies in Nashville in like 2020. She was there with Christina P. I was so excited.
Hear me out you guys. I finally figured out who Annie reminds me of. Katheryn Winnick aka Lagertha from The Vikings show.
Such a great episode! Grateful for this podcast and the relatability of hearing awesome talented women navigate their dream lives out of their 20s. Trash Tuesday is doing it right. ❤
Anjelah one of my favorite comedy. Annie funny two
The hard is worth the reward, though. I am just a dad, but I have full custody and a single dad, but it is what it is. I wouldn't change it
"Do you have boyfriend?"
Love!
I can’t relate to not like thinking about another person until I become a parent. Must be nice
Love Anjelah!!!!
i
I’m in an apartment my son is 18. He’s alright. Kinda weird thing to say. So many people live paycheck to paycheck today. Your lifestyle is never prepared you live one day at a time.
Nuclear family is a scam? Boy, I would of loved to hear you guys back that up with some facts
Yup, I want to hear some more about why she feels that way 😂 how could having a solid family unit be a scam?
Cougars 😂
I love Anjelah
Life in LA must be like Mars. So much that they talk about isn't in the ballpark of what I've seen
That's the thing all these clinics are great if your wealthy but what about women with fertility issues that can't afford thousands of dollars to do this? I have to just accept that it will never happen for me even with all these great new advantages.
It’s normal living on the coasts
My husband totally made me go buy a digital pregnancy test as well. The second line was so faint that I woke him up and was like I took a test and don't know what it says. He didn't believe it lol
Redbar’s watching
{a couple and their dependent children, regarded as a basic social unit. } The nuclear family is not a scam...its been attacked since the 80s... seemingly rare now...made worse now with this moms wanting career first and child second and Father or other as optional.
Halfway through this pod and resonates so deeply with me. Esther with the W, Anjelah with the age at conception, Annie with the vaccine correlations, Khalyla having that sperm knowledge.
Should have bought up bon qui qui cmon man 😂
I love pregnant Esther.
Annie if it makes you feel better. Babies for the first year are so small, that they fit anywhere. So plus you have to be pregnant for a year. Maybe consider being pregnant at least before you move out of the apartment so that you can at least get the ball rolling and by the time you give birth be moved into your home.
I concur. Got pregnant at 36 in a studio apartment. Moved into a house at 7 mo pregnant. Although doable, I do have to say that the studio was pretty stressful (lived there for 7 years) and I could only see that looking back.
Had a huuuuuge crush on Anjelah she still looks good
annie looks so good
yasssss annieeeee so hawtttt
Come back to Colusa California
I agree with you ladies, our government careless about its own people that go hungry, homeless just go without no matter how hard you bust your ass, our government cares about giving out Trillions to other countries 1st, instead of putting our own people 1st THEN help others
8:50, 😆
..."...You want you nay-o fix ....? ,, "...😂😂😂.....
This Society teaches us to be self-centered self-serving it doesn't surprise me at all nowadays it a lot of people don't want to be parents because they're all about themselves they're more worried about how it would affect their figure or some stupid s***
Best guest, congrats on becoming a mom
Call your reps and organize to universalize and socialize child/newborn/familial care and support!! The money is there, and it’s all about the distribution and political choices
Annie looks so hot to me in this ep
What if Annie's twin is literally a second pregancy?
stella 🔥
With Annie leaving, you guys should get Rick Glassman to replace her.
38:44, interesting
❤❤❤❤❤
Annie's rented apartment reason not have baby made me so ssad. She is comedian, but still...
16:12, interesting
🙌🙌❤
Bobby lee and Anjelah back to back
Now we cooking
Of course Annie is late lol
Annie looks great!
🙄
Great ep, childcare and support for new parents is abysmal in the US
I've never understood the apartment theory, why is it so bad? Maybe its because I've only ever lived in an apartment 😅 but as i see it, you have a trash chute for the dirty diapers to be tossed every day so no nasty diaper genie! You'll likely have a cute park or walking trail on the property, you can decorate the nursery as you like they make amazing renter friendly peel and stick wallpaper these days!! I just don't see the cons 🤷♀️ the idea of maintaining a house you own and being responsible for that while caring for a newborn sounds more stressful actually 🤔
Babies and kids require so much stuff and space. Wake the baby, and no one is happy
@fluffyclouds555 Yes that's true, if you really need the space then that's understandable but I'm currently thriving raising my child in a 3 bedroom apartment and a whitenoise machine outside the nursery door solves that problem for me. I personally think it's a great option if you are more minimalist and you don't want the responsibility or work that comes with owning a home but I don't hear people say that enough. I know homeowners and it's not all roses on their side of the fence, both are great options and it really comes down to personal preference.
I understand this completely but it’s a bit disheartening normally we are all sold a story of a picture perfect life with a baby and a house. And the market has literally priced us out of that dream after seeing it so long, it’s not bad having a baby in an apartment but who ever had that dream ya know ?
@BriannaxDash I think that's the problem, we are being sold a story that you need a house for things to be picture perfect, but you actually don't and nowhere will ever be truly perfect anyway. You can be fulfilled in a house, condo, apartment, etc. 😊
