I agree lol - Cuz I don’t think she likes him, the way she talks about him when he isn’t there tells me that he rubs her the wrong way. And also I think Annie likes to lead a room and Ricky sometimes has overpowering energy that some people can’t vibe with.

In 15 seconds in and it’s already way better than esters performance in TYSO today. It was pretty tough to watch and around the hour five mark you can see Rick get genuinely sad. Cause he wants to make the podcast work but ester doesn’t know how to talk lol. She’s relying too much on the brother sister I’m going to shit on you vibe.
@@jzpat I watched tyso. I watched raehat. The problem is real, it's usually pretty annoying. But it's at least as much about Rick as about Esther. Probably more. Like he genuinely does project a ton and he's incredibly baselessly arrogant. I hope he didn't feel in that episode that Esther was the problem. In hoping it was more introspective than that.
@@andy2069 I honestly think it’s ester. And he was valid I mean he’s legit trying to have a conversation and drive the podcast forward. Moving from topic to topic and he just can’t keep up. I mean she legit goes “can we just not talk about that” and just halts any conversation.
@@andy2069lol it is Esther though.. he may not be for everyone but Ricky is self aware about his off putting attributes since being diagnosed. He can do bits nonstop, if the other person plays. Esther relies on the rooms energy and allowing people to pick on her. Annie or the guest has to carry most of Esther’s topics she brings up here in this podcast. Rick shutdown on Esther because this is the 2nd time trying this and Esther is sizzling out again. Rick calls out uncomfy situations and not to be confrontational but to genuinely gain insight or perspective. Even when getting raw, Esther couldn’t keep up with the analogies he was using or the point of the statements being made and it’s like she doesn’t want to open up at all or doesn’t know how. I think she ls one of those girls who wants to fit in with ALL of the social groups so badly that they become cookie cutter to not rub neurotypical people the wrong way. ORRRR - maybe none of this and she is just boring. Sorry for the rant, I’ve watched too much Rick with Esther this week.
@@jzpat 100% it was a tough watch - you make a great point about her relying heavily on the ONE bit, being picked on and being the girl with terrible comebacks like she isn’t a professional comedian. It’s like the girls who pretend to be dumb so… idk more people/boys like them? She is either pretending to not be able to hold a conversation and pretending she can’t come up with a decent insult. Her timing is also always off, but I feel like Ricky calls it out and she does the smirk and giggle thing like “omg nooo” - I’m glad he has started verbalizing also that he thinks she’s attractive so she can stop relying on the trope of “oh pick on Esther cuz she is ugly and gross”

Love the episode... I just wish Annie would have went there with her gripe with Rick. But strangely enough, as much as I wanted to see that, I have more respect and empathy for Annie than I ever have before this episode. My first episode of Trash Tuesdays was from being a big Rick Glassman fan. I can tell that Annie clearly is a fan too or at least was at one point and is genuine in feeling a little hurt that Rick doesn't acknowledge her or follow back. I know social media validation is a ridiculous concept to care about it. I think if I were in her situation I could see myself feeling a similar way whether its right or wrong to feel that way. This doesnt make me love Rick any less, but I'm hiiting submit on this comment and then heading off to follow Annie on all the things.

I’m so thrilled to hear someone else that has Gastroparesis and talking about it because I also have Gastroparesis as well, but I would like to clarify that it is to do with the stomach and or the intestines being delayed which means it takes hours to breakdown food to digest and the food becomes ‘rotten food’ which can cause bad breathe, which is what Esther said she experiences. It can also cause other horrible symptoms which you can google :)

42:00 My girlfriend sometimes (lightly) wears a peony-scented perfume that I do genuinely like. Most perfumes aren't great, but a shampoo or body wash usually smells good. I do also like her natural scent as well.
Same with (light) makeup--I like that she changes it up where sometimes she wears a little makeup and other times she doesn't. Both are attractive, and I like that she mixes it up.
