When the dog turns around and refuses to get in with you, you know that water is cold. Dang woman, you are tough! All the water around here is frozen 10cm thick.
hello!:) I am not done with watching, but that "SO COLD!" and the steam coming from the body is so cinematic and funny :) ( last year I did it all year long, i just go till neck and immediately go out:D but hardest when outside is more than -10:D, because water seems warmer, and it is hard after all. also I am always taking tea in thermos.

Hi ! I laughed when Mojo touched the water with his paws and said to himself no way and turned away lol …! I started to take cold showers to take away inflammation and it works great ! You are very courageous to dive in the cold water 💦 I have to check the temperature of the water here in Canada 🇨🇦… one question: aren’t you afraid of hypothermia? Apparently it doesn’t take long exposure to cold to cause that …. Let me know what you think … thanks
🤎 I'm going to do cold plunges only when outside is sunny and "not so cold", so above 5 or 10°C and I check the water with my feet before entering, I make sure I didn't eat a massive meal but something light and I do some breathing exercises to make sure all my circulation is up and running😊 I'm not so afraid of hypothermia because I do all these things and because I just not think about it🤎
Love what you said about slowing down and rethinking your knitting. I have far too many projects and test knits and it's taking over and becoming stressful and that's not what it should b about. There are just too many lovely designs 😊

Yay!! I was holding my breath then taking deep breaths with you until you dipped 😅, good job!!! Afterwards it feels so good 😊. I was wondering though (also because it looks so rocky), if little plastic sandals might protect your feet. When they get that cold, you don’t feel if you’ve stubbed your toe 😮. I have to wear them in the river near my house. It helps a lot! It’s so interesting what you were saying about knitting being a place to hide from things which stress us. Totally. I completely do that too. But I also truly appreciate how knitting can help me turn my mind off for a while. So I think there is great importance in using our craft as a tool, and not letting it take over us! I still often feel an urgency to knit, because I have little free time and there are so many things I would like to make… but I can only do what I can, and I‘m at a big turning point in my life where so many other things need my time and attention. It’s nice to hear others talking about it too.❤
You are so brave!!! I did the polar bear swim several times on the Oregon Coast beach on January 1st. One of those swims, we had to walk on icy sand to get to the water! It is done early in the morning and OH-SO-COLD! And you MUST get yourself FULLY IMMERSED !
what a fun idea to go skinny dipping for spring energy 😄 and seamlessly connected to knitting too! very motivating to go to the seaside, which is a 4 hour train ride (with the slow but unlimited new nationwide travel ticket here in germany, which i love so much 😊)... also love the cropped fit of the roughwork jumper! very flattering and looks incredibly comfy 😎 and WOW the colours you chose for the socks! even just the little glimpse of them when you packed them for the ride! mustard green & soft violet are now on the very top of my list for new yarn 🎉
Really love you and your podcast and really love to support you but the level of commercials in your podcast today was bordering on too much. I just really struggle with our capitalist culture and I'm uncomfortable with advertising in general. I completely understand that you need to make money it is really tough to get by but I thought it was worth saying in case others might feel the same. With love and kind intentions Julie
Hi Julie, UA-cam commercials are the worst, aren't they? I didn't have any commercials pop up at all during this vlog, and I don't pay for UA-cam (I thought it was so strange, lol). Unfortunately, I think unless you pay a monthly fee to UA-cam, you will always have to watch an ad, regardless of whether a UA-camr is monetized or not. I don't think Martina has any control over ads, etc. Hope this helps from another viewer's POV.
Thank you for your honesty. Did you mean the commercials that UA-cam ads put or my shares about the jewelry company and the one woman business knitting bags? If you meant the latter, I usually don't get any sponsor, especially if I don't enjoy the products they offer. I don't get pay for these collaborations but I like some of the products I get sent so it's worth to mention them here and there.. I'm very selective with sponsors and this time I added the timestamps so people can skip the parts they are not wanting to watch. And lastly, I know, I feel similar when I watch some youtubers sharing products but I remind myself that if they had to please every single person they wouldn't share anything. 🙏🏼

Maybe its UA-cam that controlled that. I completely understand the bags and the jewellery collaboration and that of course you need to pay bills. It was specifically commercials from you tube interrupting your show and mayby ecause I'm not paying you tube that I'm getting so many. Thank you for taking time to reply.
