Even with that added context, that kind implies that Windu and Dooku have some history together. Side note: I love how Dooku greets Mace as though he’s an old friend as opposed to an enemy.
The entrance of Darth Maul, Mace Windu and General Grievous are some of the most epic not only because of presentation, but because of the impact in the music
im with ya on that bro. tbh AOTC broke a lot of grounds; before this movie we have never seen so many active Jedi in combat and never had a battle of the scale the Battle of Geonosis was.
Yoda was the wisest of the old jedi order, but Windu was definitely their prize warrior. He killed Jango Fett and defeated Palpatine. Whether Palps let him win or not by the end, he was still getting beaten. You can see it in his face, he's struggling and getting pissed off that Mace is keeping up with him.
Say what you like about the prequels, but the originals never ever had a scene this epic. Jedi working together, fighting together in an awesome battle
When you realize that when dooku says he's impossibly outnumbered he's not only referring to his forces, but also the clones, since they were never truly on the jedi side and would inevitably turn on them as well.
I never understood the hate of this movie or any of the prequels for that matter. This one I felt really dug deep into Vader’s past and showed why he turned his back on the Jedi for not helping his mother and the action is nonstop entertainment.
This scene is still so freaking awesome! As a kid I’d watch this and set up all my toys like they were Battle Droids. I take out my toy lightsaber and swing it around knocking over my toys like I was cutting down the battle droids in the movie. So long as I didn’t knock over any lamps or break anything while pretending to be a Jedi at the battle of Geonosis my mom didn’t care.
I understand people think this is a bad ass moment for Mace, but actually, it is one of the worst mistakes of his life. He led a lot of Jedi to their deaths that day, because he couldn't see an obvious trap.
An obvious trap in hindsight, not in the spur of the moment when Obi-Wan and Anakin would have been executed if they arrived a moment too late. Like Windu said, the Geonosians weren't warriors, so he thought bringing a lot of Jedi would be enough. He could never have expected an army of battle droids.
Perfect example of why the Jedi SHOULDN'T have been made officers of the G.A.R.. Windu takes the bounty hunter hostage when he arrives, despite the fact that, as a Sith Lord, Dooku doesn't give a crap about what happens to minions. Then the rest of the Jedi decide that the center of a huge arena is the perfect place to make their stand. They're apparently so used to their opponents just giving up when confronted by Jedi that they didn't consider what would happen if they came under attack with no cover and no escape. Would YOU give control of your military to a group of people that suffered 80% casualties in their first battle of the war?
@@MetalRaydown No he wouldn’t, Dooku would defeat Windu. Unlike Sidious, Dooku actually knows how to use the light side of the force considering the fact that he has more than 60+ years on his belt as a jedi. Dooku’s connection to the dark side of the force isn’t very intense, he rarely even develops sith eyes. He channels both sides of the force, he’s beating Windu.
