Alan, please never stop producing videos. They are inspiring, informative and full of sophisticated British humor. Or the like. 🤔Already looking forward to your next one. THANKS!

Where can you learn something? Smile while watching the whole video. Find someone who doesn’t take himself or the world that seriously. ALAN SCHALLER that’s who. Thanks Alan.
These videos (all of them, including the 30-minute long how a film is developed) don’t feel like “UA-cam” videos. They are mini-documentaries filled with information, stories and humour. Thanks to Biz’s directing them and Alan’s non-pretentious commentary, they are a breeze to watch. Please make more! ❤

You are such an inspiration Mr. Smaller! Thanks 🙏 for being so pleasant and willing to help others develop their skills. Stay safe and have a wonderful day 🙏
Thanks for all the videos Alan. I've been taking photos for almost 50 years, as a profession. But thanks to you, I'm back to my roots. I had M4, M6 in the good times of the film. For work, weddings and events, I use other brands, but finally I have the M11, after years of piggy bank, you know I have 2 daughters, I have 68 years old, but the joy of photography has remained within me, it's like a drug. Alan, your ability to find and capture reflections is truly inspiring. Your work not only showcases your incredible creativity but also highlights your unique sense of humor, which makes each video a joy to watch. It’s amazing how you transform everyday scenes into something extraordinary. Keep up the fantastic work, your talent and vision are truly a breath of fresh air! I’ve been eagerly awaiting your next video and can’t help but wonder what fascinating projects you’ve been working on during these past few months. I’m sure whatever you’ve been up to will be presented with your signature charm and creativity. Looking forward to seeing the results of your latest adventures in photography - I know it’ll be worth the wait!
Your videos display unpretensious talent, spontaneous good humor, and excellent photography. This is a combination that I value. I've been a passionate amateur for 40+ years, and every day is a continued adventure.
Alan, your videos are an absolute joy to watch! I love your sense of humor and the positivity you bring-it’s truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing your insights and creativity; they’re a great motivation to pick up the camera and see the world differently. Looking forward to more amazing content!
Just discovered this channel on my way of building an opinion to buy a monochrom camera (shooting B&W anyway in 99 % of my projects). However - this is not only information sharing on street photography - it's humorous, it's inspiring and motivating to take the cam, go out and shoot. I never was asked to "like" and "Subscribe" in this winking way. Allan is passionate on photography - I believed that within seconds. THANK YOU !
Encore une pepite ! Le style, l'humour so British et les magnifiques photos sont un régal pour les spectateurs. Bravo Alan Et Biz pour vos vidéos, franchement parmi les meilleurs créateurs de contenu de Net. Greetings from Algiers !
It was so fun to watch your video Alan. I was smiling through out the video. Your sense of humor made it look all so easy. And a lot of admiration for the video producer, editor. He has done a great job.
I especially liked the "slightly strange things" reflective examples to look for. The combination of unique tips and lighthearted commentary makes me want to watch more. Subscribed.
🔥🔥🔥 DONT. STOP. THIS. NOW! 🔥🔥🔥 - so refreshing to find content like this. Keep them coming please....entertaining, unpretentious, educational, insightful and inspiring. Well done Alan 🎉
Met a few street photographers at the Seattle St. Patrick’s day parade today. I did a number of reflection shots. Reflections are like juxtaposition. It was there before you owned a camera. You probably never saw them. Then it was pointed out to you and now you see them everywhere. The same thing with reflections. Thank you Alan for showing us how to seek reflective surfaces. They are around us waiting to be used by us. This is a great gift. I will reveal my favorite reflection sight. The main branch of the Seattle public library has a reflective surface on the overhang on 4th avenue. As the roof is on the 2nd floor a long lens is required. I brought the Fuji 135mm specifically for these shots. I am one of the few Seattle photographers I’ve seen do this shot. This is similar to your tip#7 location. Something that is good to know about about reflections is that they are, or can be, related to your aperture. You see the reflection. In your EVF the reflection may or may not be there. You will have to find the right aperture that allows your sensor to see what your eyes are seeing. This is simple enough with a mirrorless camera because the EVF works on the WYSIWYG principle. With a DSL you’ll have to guess at your setting and take a picture to see what your sensor is seeing. Simple enough. You definitely have earned your 00 rating. License to kill, or at least capture people’s images (in some Native American cultures that is the same thing) with your Leica. Errant thought. Britain uses the metric system. Thanks for the great video. I live in Germany and here the bad thing is that people hate being photographed (as you know) but the good thing is that their cars are immaculate clean so you can find great reflections 😂 !
Your videos stand out from the other photographers’ explanatory videos! I don't normally write reviews, but whenever I look at your videos with a smile and realize afterwards how much of the content I incorporate into my own photos, I can only hope, that you continue to fill this channel with your inspiring thoughts and your artistic work!
We are genuinely appreciative of your UA-cam channel, which serves as a significant source of inspiration for contemporary street photographers worldwide. just love the flipparoo idea, brilliant stuff, photography is the marriage of creativity and technology and reflective photos very much ''reflect'' that , - ''share what things you have used for a reflective photo'' - a fisheye lens close to a concerve mirror (one of those ones used for seeing what's round a corner) that shot you did of yourself that's distorted is that in your book ?
Excellent video. What I enjoy most about your channel is the inventivesss and great ideas that I can draw inspiration from. I had to take out my camera from the bag and put my phone under the lens to try that reflection, and I can now use that knowledge and take it with me.
Great as always, I use reflections a lot in my photography, always looking for something to create a world within a world thanks for another great video greetings from Lisbon Danyel
Just an observation at and around 14:00 you Brit's are chilling your beer now, cool (a double entendre lol) Yet another informative and entertaining walk about with Mr. Schaller.
Loved this one. And one of my favorite channels! You pack humor and so much valuable content into every post. How many pints did you hipsters drink for this one? Another Allen wants to know!
Alan, I love the humor, and I love your photography. I never watch your videos without learning something and being inspired to shoot more creatively. Keep it up!
Awesome channel, just found it, via YT recommendation. My weirdest reflection was a self-portrait from a faucet in the bathroom in the hotel I was staying. And a self-portrait of a reflection in a car side mirror that was a reflection of a car window.
Hi Alan, these episodes are superb. Metropolis is wonderful, it's on my coffee table at the mo. I would love to see more about how you get your exposures correct in camera. I think about that shot on the ski slope and it's such a different way of seeing that environment. You're not just silhouetting your subjects, the light itself is always a subject. Given that your photos often contain such dynamic range as well as pure white and black, how do you know you've got it right on the day such that you will successfully be able to post-process it? Please keep this up, very inspirational.
One thing I have to learn from you it patience. I don’t know why I am always in full hype. LOL. I will think think about slowing down, wait and take my time. Thanks for the amazing videos.
Really chuffed to see you creating videos. Entertaining and informative. Bought ya book, wonderful. I'll be testing the pub reflection hypothesis on my next photo walk. Cheers 🙂👍
I'm so glad you did a video on this technique. It seems simple, but it's actually quite difficult to get something exactly the way you want it! Well done! Thoroughly enjoy your videos! Did I mention your humor is a lot of fun too! Keeps me going all day!
New to your page. Absolutely love your work with reflections. Probably one of my favorites genre of photography. Keep up the great work! From Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
This is so good ! I’ve just discovered this. I don’t have instagram anymore but I remember Alan being in a league of his own. I have tried all types of photography over the years and collected a large arsenal of lenses, however recently I’ve sold some and bought x100 with the intention of getting into street photography. This is definitely an inspiration to be able to watch all of these videos. A perfect blend of humour and educational material. Thanks a lot Alan, I hope you keep producing videos. Best of luck. Excellent video, Alan, reflections are another of your strenghts. Congratulations to your filmmaker too, I love the production. And last but not least, congratulations on that freakin' funny two last minutes... THE BEST!!! 😆😆😆
Thanks Alan for a teriffic video but unfortunately I have a new conundrum in my life, do I buy a gorgeous Italian camera bag or four hundred (approx) pints of fine ale. Tounge back in cheek thank you for the excellent reflection gems/tips.

The price of those bags is so mind-boggling that it makes sense to hurl your leica at the thief to stop them stealing the bag.
