I quit FEH after It ate my wallet in 2020 and every time I poke my head in to see what is going on I feel like I'm having a new and horrible type of stroke.
Being F2P in Heroes was one of the most abysmal experiences in any gacha to me, and it didn't help that a lot of the effort I put into building units got overshadowed by newer units. I recall enjoying the game a lot, but honest to god, I wouldn't go back to the game now even if I was paid to do it.
i stoped like 3 years ago? The powercreep just got insane and it wasnt anymore about strategy but who hast to the newest unit that can shit on everything. Strategie was thrown out the window and i really dint want to read walloftexts to know what the unit does…
I think Trailer Reaction videos could be fun though. You always have the most interesting takes and it would be fun to see you wrap your brain around the effects or faint from it. lol
I personally tend to stray away from reaction videos because my live commentary is much less thought out and coherent than my scripted content. What I do know is that even if discussing the meta or new units really isn't my cup of tea, doing comedic Effectively(?) Using videos definitely is, and usually I do a bit of discussion within them regardless. Thank you for the suggestion either way haha
1:38 As somebody who stopped over three years ago I look into whatever my friends get up to in the game. I only understand what happens one in every ten times.
I don't really care about PvP modes or the meta in general, but it affects even in the story (hard mode +) or other casual modes. It's getting hard to play since they keep adding these monsters of new units you can't even play with your favs anymore, or if you do, 1) need to invest a lot in them, 2) you need at least one meta unit for you to be able to get the damm orbs. And in less than a month that meta character you pulled, is nothing against the newer characters that come after! I love fire emblem, and I still enjoy FEH as a casual player. I'm just there to collect Xander's alts, currently waiting for more in delusion, but it really sucks how obvious the powercreep is, and how it's not going to stop until everything just explodes.
Whenever I read a story of someone quitting Feh it's a real shame, like aw man they no longer like playing the game I play. But it makes sense, the weapon and skill descriptions have gotten way too long and complex. Im just a casual player making my Bernies Stronger I know a dude who still use the same gen 1 team to clear modern maps and units. Its really on perspective because its not that bad unless you're a high AR, Arena, and AD player.
I mean I run Clair as my ace and always have lol Arcane weapons definitely help the game balance a decent bit but as someone who isn't a high AR, Arena and AD player, I still find I run into powercreep issues decently often. One definitely *can* manage the powercreep, but it really gets harder to achieve as time goes by from my perspective. Props to your friend for sticking with their gen 1 faves tho, I respect that
As long as IS keeps releasing Skills that I can inherit on my Sophia, I'll still use her and keep playing. Speaking of which, how's your Clair looking?
My Clair is doing alright, Pegasus Flight 4 was a huge boon for her, but I had to stop using her in Arena cause she just can't take meta threats. She's still a good all-arounder for a good chunk of modes and I had fun with her in Seer's Snare, but she sadly just can't keep up. If I ever get blessed with a Clair alt, I'll be making up for lost time.
The longer FEH runs for, the more convoluted it will get to fix and rebalance it when it finally hits EoL and fanservers can take over. That's seriously my only thought on it currently because like...I permanently(after phases of being on and off over the years) quit towards the end of Book 4 because the game was effectively pronounced dead already and has left the public contiousness of the FE Community. Now we are halfway through 2024 and like what, Book 7(?), and the fossil is still somehow kicking. Are whales really that strong for this game? What even is this game anymore?
Book 8 right now. And the thing with FEH is that even when profits dip a bit, the game is actually very cheap to keep up compared to almost all other gachas out there, so it's really no skin off IS' back to keep the game going. They found new ways to keep alts of popular characters coming too, as much as it grates on the nerves of the ones who want to see the characters still missing added to the game. It's a mess and a half, but I don't see this ending before the endof book 9 at the earliest, maybe even later than that.
@@segafreak2000if you follow Norse myth enough, MAYBE they’ll end it at Book 10. Cause after Book 8, it’s only a matter of time until Ragnarök kicks off.
In adding more complexity, Feh has become less strategic. I base my interactions solely on the weapon triangle and stats again like we're still in year 1. I still play it just out of habit and out of there being no other good mobile games.
i just recently reinstalled after a 1yr and a bit more break and nah, i dont understand anything. find it very funny how my ace berkut with arcane and skill investment has held up way better than the majority of my barracks, but yh i dont understand a thing that goes on in FEH now
Based Ghost literally summoner duels was the worst and most toxic game mode feh ever created I don't bother with it that's why it's called trash duels 🤷♀️🗑️
Aside from Voting Gauntlet and maybe another mode or two, I agree wholeheartedly lol. Tempest Trials, Forging Bonds, Heroes Journey and Seer’s Snare, they’re all I need to be happy lol
every day i see a new post like this and just wonder how y'all enjoy anything, feh is doing just fine and is way more fun and interesting than it was last year. every time someone makes the "hurr durr long text" argument i just don't think their point is worth listening to because if you actually read the text it's like 2 or 3 effects lol

@@GenMars how are old skills obsolete? i still comfortably use ideal 4, clash 4 and menaces. and if you're talking about prfs, reminder that ayra released in gen 1 and her weapon is still better than arcane devourer.
@@jeanne.mp4 the major problem with feh is creating a problem for the meta with powercreep, needing a solution to it, selling the solution by creating another problem, and the effects keep gettong worse, while original stuff had Def+4 om a condition, new stuff gets all stats+8 or more by breathing and some characters get to end your turn before you get it or even stunlock you forever because they have line of sight. You can't act like these problems don't exist, and keep growing by the day.

Arcane weapons definitely help the game balance a decent bit but as someone who isn't a high AR, Arena and AD player, I still find I run into powercreep issues decently often. One definitely *can* manage the powercreep, but it really gets harder to achieve as time goes by from my perspective.

I'd rather use my time working on my pvp teams in Engage, where there is a cap and the game wont see any drastic changes, unlike the f2p
