As a so called African American.....my heart goes out to the Mexican American men and women who suffer under tyranny in the divided states of America......justice will come to us all one day!Peace
I am Salvadoran-American myself but despite our different nationalities we were all born here and should come to unite against bigotry and racism that continue to plague us.
We know our History plus all the hatred we have endured. The teachers that treated us like animals . Plus my Fathers cousins were also killed for walking home from work.
African Americans and Mexican Americans are very similar in culture. We both minorities, got conquered by White colonizers. Culture stolen and mistreated , but i think African Americans had it worse in America. Mexicans had it worse in Mexico because Spanish came and enslaved Mexican Natives, killed off all the men. And the women had no choice but to marry a white Spaniard or be killed or enslaved. But Half of America is Mexico so we both got it bad from White Colonizers. At least most black peoe are full ethnicity. Still some full blooded Natives in Mexico but most half/half because of Spanish conquest.

David Keller did an archeology dig at the site and found it was most likely the US Army that carried out the killings, not the Rangers. The US Army went back and burned the village two days after the killings. Sounds like the Army was covering their tracks.

and... what about the decades of attacks by Santa Anna, Palo Alto, Monterrey battles, pick a bean to see if you died, Had hundreds executed after Alamo and Goliad, (gynecide, but... that's okay). No quarter to Comanche attack victims. What of Cortina shooting in Brownsville, TX, 1859 after killing a sheriff for a Vaquero friend. Took over town killing five citizens (but probably white so, okay). After massacre and burning Brownsville, continued attacks until stopped by President Diaz (good thing wasn't US). This documentary is about my family 100 years ago! My sister wrote a song at the Texas State Capital about Porviner!

Porvenir, not Porvinir.
