- This is Zone Zoomer, a chunkman of a different kind. It has a timer running and limited time to complete each task of a new chunk. Every time a task is completed, the timer can reset and I can progress further. How many chunks will I be able to unlock without running out of time? Join me in my new timed chunkman series!

📜Rules (in short):
1. The timer is allowed to be paused when not progressing the account
1.1. Every time a task is completed, the timer is reset. Every 5 chunks, an additional hour is added per task up to a maximum of 5h/task
2. Chunks are picked in this manner: picked, roll 2 option and picked, picked, etc.
3. It’s ok to accidentally step out of my unlocked chunks as long as I don’t progress
3.1. I am allowed to get back to my unlocked chunks from any unlocked respawn point (with the timer still running)
4. Must complete every task in a new chunk, even if it was previously completed

Cool idea! Just one note about the rules from someone who's decently far into two separate chunk accounts. The ruling that you must complete every task in a new chunk even if previously completed may become VERY convoluted and difficult to keep track of with how many items/mobs are in the game. Early on it won't be too bad but I'd personally say to not go by that rule because it will likely lead to issues down the road. Requirements will also change depending on what chunks you get in what order. Like if a mith platebody is a BiS item in one chunk and an addy is in another...depending on the order you roll the chunks you may need to get the mith then the addy or simply just the addy if you roll that one first.

ty! I think my rules just make me get the bis one so I wouldn't need to get the mith one after the addy. It was more of like - if I get a rune scimi drop before it's ever a task but later on it is a task to get it as a drop, I must go and get it again to be able to tick the task off. Hope I understood you correctly and thanks :D
@@Ectograss I see, I suppose the only time that rule would come into effect then is if the item was going to be used for a quest/diary or if you got an item from a random event/rare drop table. Either way chunk accounts are a blast, enjoy! :)
this is a neat idea. Once I am more familiar with the game as a harcore ironman, I may branch out to a chunkman account. Looking forward to following along with this series :)

Good idea for a chunk(wo)man! Liked the editing and your commentary was quite funny, looking forward to this one! Going to need some careful planning.
I do think you are going to struggle quite soon though, for example the farming cape is in Draynor. You are going to lose a lot of the easy tasks quickly I believe, for example you won't ever be asked to mine copper or iron now, since you've already gone to gold, unless you have modified the rules of the picker. I'd have also added on the time for completing a task, rather than resetting. If you get a 80+ skill level grind early, especially with very limited skilling methods, you're going to time out.
no skill cape grinds for basic chunk man though, that is only extreme.
Yes, as Sharo said I don't have to get 99s :)) I think adding up the time is a good idea but I didn't want it to sometimes end up being too easy and not exciting enough haha :D

Fun take on the chunkman gamemode. I'm interested to see how you'll react to the timecrunch of harder tasks, it should make the typically tedious content more dramatic.
P.S. There's a deposit box by the monks in Port Sarim you can use to unclog your inventory of stuff like those gems you'll want for later.

Interesting idea, I definitely haven't seen this ruleset anywhere, but someone did something similar where they limited the time per chunk before locking it again if not finished to prevent being stuck in one place for an insane amount of time. However, I looked through my dozens of subbed rs channels and it wasn't there, so I suspect their entire youtube account is gone.

Idea on a time save: go for rng grinds at the end of the hour while using the first half hour for time locked grinds. (For example in this video, rather than mining a couple full hours for the gold ore, mine the first half hour, then go kill men/women during the next half an hour. If you get lucky on the rng drop, you lose less time. (Can be 45/15 or whatever the estimated time investment of the grinds will be.) Good luck on the account!

You may have covered this, but what happens if you miss the time for a task? I don't think it should necessarily end the account but there could be a forfeit/punishment of some kind instead. Maybe (for example) if you fail a task then the next time you pick a chunk it has to be random instead of your choice?
Good question! Yeah the idea is that if I don't do it in time the series ends as I've sort of lost the challenge. That's why the timer is increasing later on to prolong it :))
That's not a bad idea either!! I just didn't wanna be stuck on one account/series for 2-4 years like other creators haha, and it also makes it more dramatic and makes me think more efficiently this way to try and not fail :D
@@Ectograss That makes sense! You could have a limited number of failures allowed or something just in case it happens too soon or your series blows up and you want to keep it going :) maybe 3 strikes or something

Great Ideia. Love the series. But I think you should use more of your 1 hour to train so your not wasting time. The first three you didnt think about so its ok but you lost like 50 min of training by going to get 40 mining and a gold ore after getting the iron dagger. Dont seem to be that important but later one those minute wasted could make a difference between getting a higher level and not.
it's true :D I wanted to tick off some tasks starting out but later on I do think carefully about the time haha :))

you forgot to kill the rat in the range store for the rat tail for the quest not sure if you had gaint rats in your chunk but if you did they could be used to get meat to burn for the quest
In that chunk I didn't have access to eye of newt for the quest :)
