What’s the best process to clean out where the valves sit? Scrape lightly and pull out as you scrape? My 22 850 is falling in its face and won’t pull past 7800 rpm’s and usually drops to 7650
This sounds like the classic symptoms. Just as you mentioned try to gently scrape and pull out what you can. Also I am not sure on 2022 however these power valves sometimes need a dealer calibration. If cleaning it didn't help I would inquire about that next.
It's not bad at all just dont disconnect the cable that goes to the top. If you disconnect the cable you will need to get a dealer to recalibrate. Just take your time take a few pictures along the way.
Just to ask did you disconnect the cable to the power valve body that comes from the actuator. If so you need to have the dealer calibrate. Otherwise I would check to see if you knocked or disconnected any wires. Else pull back apart to make sure all reassembly went well. I never did have a check engine light after cleaning. Let’s see what we can find out
Excellent video. Clears up a lot of details of not needed steps. Much appreciated! I'll be doing mine soon.
Thank you! Its a simple thing to do with just a little technique as always. Cheers!
