Do not take this as a request to always do it, like fake it, but when ever you do it, one can see it is honest and beautiful moment, so beautiful. You two will live in my heart forever, because of how humane and sincere you are ❤

I am a late Nightwish fan. I was introduced to them only 5 years ago.
I had the luck to witness a Nightwish live show with this masterpiece at setlist in the very end. It was last friday here in Brazil. I can tell y'all that NOW I am able to die happy. The ticket was bought 3 years ago and the show was postponed 3 times because the pandemic. My anxiety were super high because seemed that a huge part of me was missing without attend a Nightwish show. I had the blessed to reach that sold out venue, and with another 8 thousand souls, my 17 years old daughter and my best buddie included to witness The Greatest Show on Earth. Even thought Marko was not there anymore, there was not fireworks, flames and other cool stuff I am truly happy, because the music and Floor's voice is, at the end of the day, everything we must need. I recommend that to every single soul in this planet.

Same happened to me last night @ Buenos Aires... sadly no Marco, no pyro and the other stuff but what really makes Nightwish "Nightwish" is the composition and interpretation and we got that in spades!!! I was so pumped with adrenaline that I did not walk out but I floated out. Once I got back to the car, the high wore off and I balled like a baby for a good 15 minutes wating to get out of the parking lot. A wonderful performance.

The song is about the formation of the solar system and the evolution of life on Earth. Considered their Magnum Opus by many. 5 parts to the song. The first is entitled 4.6, as in 4.6 billion years, the age of the Earth. The opening fireworks and keyboard hits may represent the early bombardment of the Earth by comets, meteors, and asteroids.
Troy's part starts with Irish Low Whistle here(guitar with EBOW at Wembley 2015). Archeon horizon, the first sunrise on a pristine Gaia- talking about the early Earth. Richard Dawkins with the spoken parts again. He wrote the books this song is inspired by.
L.U.C.A.- last universal common ancestor, the last life form from which all current life on Earth descends.
Lucy of the Afar. At the time of discovery in 1974, it was the oldest human ancestor remains found, dating to about 3.2 million years.
Enter the God of Gaps- gaps in the understanding of anything, mankind would create a God to explain it.
There was a section on the evolution of music too. A few pieces played ,including one by J.S.Bach, Metallica's Enter Sandman, and EDM.
Enter ratkind- some theories say rats will take over after man's time is over.
WE WERE HERE!!! The final spoken part over the top of the credits (At Wembley ,Dawkins is on stage with the band to read it) is a quote from Darwin's book, The Origin of Species.

Floor has said with Tuomas' genius, they've never worried about song length. And where you waved at floor, at that time in the song, floor is looking for other tribes!
Floor's parents were at this show also.

I believe there are 2 basic types of songwriters. The ones that sit around and try to manufacture a song by thinking - no, OVERthinking how to make it catchy or clever thinking "Ok, what rhymes with Moon? June? Cocoon? Bassoon?" then run it past focus groups, committees, music industry reps, management, producers and the band.
Then there's ones like Tuomas who somehow channel the Music of the Universe by simply quieting himself, listening to it and writing it down what he heard the way he heard it. It's like how sculptors say they create a statue from a block of stone by seeing the end result & chipping away what is not supposed to be there.
Devin Townsend is the same way. No one does songs like he does. No one could. Everything about them is so drastically weird, unconventional & different, especially the structure & vocals, but in the perfect way, the way it should be
There is a sense that somehow this organic approach is RIGHT, pure, the way it is supposed to be. It wasn't drastically changed, altered, edited, fretted over or even thought about, it was BORN.

This song is strangely connecting to one of Tuomas first compositions: Stargazers (played in the same Tampere show), when he was about 18 years old, describing the earth in our galaxy and also impressed by evolution (earth = Tragédienne of heaven). In this new vision on earth and us he is influenced by Troy who is an admirer of Richard Dawkins (starting with the Endless forms most beautiful album). For me the most beautiful line is about the planets getting collected around the sun: The cosmic law of gravity pulled the newborns around a fire, a careless cold infinity in every vast direction, lonely farer in the Goldilock’s zone she has a tale to tell❤

The title of the issue is taken from a 2009 book by evolutionary biologist and atheist writer Richard Dawkins, about the evidence for biological evolution. Dawkins also contributes to the album. Holopainen explained to HMV in March 2015: "I wrote him a letter a little over a year ago and explained what ideas we had for this album, mainly about evolution. Since one of the songs goes straight to one of his books, it felt like a perfect match to try and recite him on the album. A few weeks later, he sent me an email accepting the invitation."
"Later in 2014, we recorded his parts at Hats Off Studios, Oxford. This is a huge honour for us, as Dawkins is one of our greatest heroes and his writings have been a huge inspiration for the album."

There are so many “hidden gems” that Tuomas included in the lyrics & the music.
22:40 The musical tributes include animals, African tribal drumming, then through the Gregorian chant in Dies Irae (Mozart), Bach’s Minuet in G Major followed by his famous Fugue in D Minor, followed by American banjo music, Metallica’s Enter Sandman riff , finally ending in Rap/Hip-Hop and 90s dance music.

Although there are no professional videos yet out of their 2022 South and Central America Tour, the fan videos out of Brazil (although having typical crappy cellphone sound) show how the crowds have turned every song into a singalong. But its not just the band its the whole team from lighting to rigging the whole production play a part. I can't wait to see them this december in london after a 2 year wait because of covid.
Thanks guys perfect reaction as always.

You picked the right showing. The Tampre, with the fireworks, is a great choice. This, The Greatest Show on Earth, is a wonderful piece of musical artistry. Tuomas has been well recognized for what he is. I have heard this many times, but never gets old, it always seems fresh, and always will. It always stirs up my emotions. It is hard to explain, but oh so easy to enjoy.

I loved your reaction, to me this is so much more than a song, it is a full fledged modern symphony, and Tuomas is a Maestro! not just for metal, this will go down the years as 21st century 'classical' music...

Please, please, please keep talking so much! I've seen hundreds of reactions to this masterpiece but witnessing both your reactions to it touches my heart.
Viewing Domenica's strong facial reaction in the outtro to the spoken words by Sir Richard Dawkins, may I suggest to watch the Wembley version as well and at the end pay close attention to what is happening in the audience? Feel free to make another reaction video of it since there are quite some interesting differences between Tampere and Wembley. Tuomas had to make some nice amends because Wembley is an indoor venue while Tampere, as you saw, is outdoors. I for one would be very curious how your thoughts are comparing both versions.
Thanks to you both for filling my heart with joy.

Perfect is the only word I can use for your reaction to this song. I cried with you even after watching this song dozens of times. It was the song that made me think about life and changed the way i think about it. You both obviously feel the same after seeing the reaction. If you didnt get emotional I would have been shocked but I had no doubt you would feel it like I and many others have. If it has this affect on you from a video I cannot imagine how it would be at the concert. Thankyou WE WERE HERE!

What amazes me about this song is that Tuomas took 14.3 billion years of universal history, and musically condensed it down into 24 minutes -- making a magnum opus masterpiece that is the greatest ode to the beauty and wonder of this "Pale Blue Dot, a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam."
I would recommend reacting to the "Nature" side of the album Human :||: Nature, as it is an 8-movement piece about "All The Works of Nature That Adorn The World." If you don't react to this, I highly recommend listening to it, as it is an instrumental piece, with only spoken words at the beginning and the end. At the end, "Ad Astra," Geraldine Butler, a British actress, reads from Dr. Carl Sagan's work "Pale Blue Dot." It is a piece of music that, like The Greatest Show On Earth, is very much a piece of music you don't just listen to, but you _feel,_ realizing Tuomas has musically told the story of Earth, and along with it, the story of us. Of humanity.
And with that story, comes the realization:
    We. Were. Here.

Greetings from Vancouver Canada, Andrei and Dominika. I've been a subed member since your very early days and a Nightwish fan since their beginning (Angels Fall First). With or without Tarja, Annette, Floor, Juka N., and (recently Marko), the amount of talend on every stage is staggering. This song encompasses all that Nightwish is: larger-than-life composition, masterful execution, poetic expression and grandiose and poignant messaging. Their live performances are (and always have been) nothing short of emotional alchemy. Every lyric, every note, every chord every vocal inflection are meticulously planned and executed. Nothing is out of place or our of scope. It's like all those Norse Mythology heroes came down to Midgard to show us a glimpse of iternity before we all crawl back to our oblivion. I really enjoy your channel. Keep going...

Great Reaction! TGSOE is a very special song. Floor did an interview before this show that you really need to watch. It's not a traditional sit down interview. The interviewer goes with Floor to her Rock Academy Reunion, then they go to the stadium and talk about the concert and talk to Floor's parent's (who were in the audience) and then he meets her the next day and they go to a music store and see some Nightwish Fans, but be prepared, Floor gets emotional and you probably will too. Some reactors do it as a reaction and some just watch it on their own, whatever you want to do. It's 16 minutes long and the title is: "Floor Jansen in Dutch show Interview (Tampere 2015)"

You were asking about the creative process . The Narrator you hear is Richard Dawkins ( an Emeritus Fellow and Evolutionary Bioligist ) who wrote a book called " The Greatest Show On Earth " which inspired Tuomas to write this epic work which really is a combination of Dawkins' knowledge and Tuomas's genius . As a tribute to Dawkins in their 2015 concert at Wembley the band had him make a personal appearance during his narration

What you say is so true Dominika. and comes straight from your heart. we have a beautiful world with a beautiful nature. and we don't look at it. Nightwish also made the song Noise about this. you both always stay yourself in every comment and that's what your fans love the most. And if you want to see how a album is made. Please react to the documentary of the album Endless forms most beautiful. Its 21 episodes. But they are short ones ❤🤘

Not sure if you noticed, Floor's dress has white Helix across the front, representing DNA strands... how cool! Also this was special show as both her parents are in audience, maybe the first time since she joined Nightwish. That is who she gestures/kisses to, to her right.
