- This unique video features all the death animations of Mario in the 1981 game Donkey Kong. There is a huge difference in the ports probably due to hardware limitations or just haste to get the game in the market as it was selling like candy at that time. Tabletop and Game and Watch versions are not included.

People may laugh at the sfx of Mario dying but I've been hit by a full loaded barrel and it's no fun. A standard 55gallon drum with water weighs just over 460lbs and one with motor oil will weigh over 1000! I made the mistake of trying to stack them and essentially got butt stomped by one fortunately half filled with water.
The noise I made wasn't nearly as cute lol.

My opinions of every port:
Arcade: Pretty basic and the OG.
Atari 2600, Intellivison and ColecoVision: No animation, ColecoVision version music is quite funny.
Coleco Adam: The music is out of place of mario's death animation
Atari 7800: Oh my god the music...
Atari 8-bit: What's wrong with these sprites?
NES / FDS: Tries to match the arcade version but it lacks the pause when mario takes damage.
Texas Instruments: Instant. It just without the Pause and the Spinning parts.
DOS: I'm slow.
Apple-II: I'm speed.
VIC-20: The death animation is too fast.
C64 Atarisoft: It hurts my hears.
C64 Ocean and Amstrad CPC: Echoey and a little loud.
MSX: Funny music.
ZX Spectrum: Low quality and slow.
I'm not going to cover Donkey Kong 94'
