Just an idea but, for the 100th episode what about an episode about your bass habits in your band? It would be cool in my opinion
Talking about acclaimed bands out of Britain: Andy Bell is the guitarist and main songwriter of shoegaze legends Ride! Worth mentioning.
Andy Bell can make you cry playing a single note.
As a bassist I always listen to bands who are bass centric such as joy division for example but for oasis I’ve never noticed the bass doing anything particularly interesting. Definitely very simplistic and just there to keep the beat going in a classic rock fashion (Nothing wrong with that either).
Actually, there's nothing interesting in Oasis in general.
Eh I mean there are some oasis tunes with semi decent basslines, off the top of my head:
Cast no shadow
Gas Panic
Fade in out (live at gmex)
Any live version of live forever pre 2000
Morning Glory
who feels love
Listen to any of Noel's or Andy Bell's bass parts.

I don't believe Guigsy played a single note on Definitely Maybe... But then, for me, All Around the World's extended live jam at The G-Mex '97 gig showed his growth from 94 to his last tour w/Oasis, holding down the low end of the jam w/a very unique & distinctive bass line that Guigsy executes pretty perfectly! I really hated that I never got to see the 'Bonehead & Guigsy' version of Oasis... As my first gig was in 2000 in Indianapolis @ The (sold-out) Murat Shrine Auditorium... Still a top gig though!🇺🇸🇬🇧

Thanks for covering one of my top 3 bands. I know a lot of Oasis tunes. The only thing really challenging is the strumming patterns.

Noel played a lot of bass on the early Oasis albums

Guigsy didn’t even play bass on either Wonderwall or Cast No Shadow, they were both Noel on bass. Guigsy was a terribly average bassist.
In 1997 he was average at least.
Funny thing is guigsy didn’t play on the wonderwall recording at all
I would argue that Oasis is the Britpops answer to The Rolling Stones!

Drummers for Oasis were always the best: Alan and Steve White, Zack Starkey and Chris Sharrock are great.
Not so simple drumming maybe…and that Tony McCarroll was right for his time.
