Which one would you prefer and why?
#iphone15promax #googlepixel8pro #pixel8provsiphone
Pixel, I notice that you seem to have a bias in favor of the iPhone. In my view, the only reliable sources for assessing picture quality are blind camera tests conducted with large groups of participants. Many UA-camrs appear to be financially influenced by Apple, which makes their reviews less trustworthy. However, the Pixel has consistently outperformed the iPhone in such blind tests.
@@DamianLesiukyes cause its processed and its based on what would you like to share on social media.
Iphone camera isnt the best but so far closer to reality.
It all comes down to preference. Dont discredit the content just because you also have your preference.
That hypocrisy
I prefer the iPhone due to less processing. Looks more organic. But Apple used to have even lesser processing during the 11 series. I preferred that even more. I want my images to be flatter. I can add contrast and saturation. I don’t want them to overdo it, if they do it for me.
Edit: on that note, I’d like to try the Sony smartphones, but they are not selling in my region.
By FAR the pixel is way better than the apple brand
I agree with you.@@DamianLesiuk
I’m using both but I like the pixel for photos ❤
But Google pixel flips pictures and make them look very unnatural.
8:30 you can also add a portrait effect to images on the pixel in post.
It isn't done using depth data however and is purely software AI, but still doable.
Just a note, when taking a 50mp image, you don't need to hold the phone still until the processing finishes completely, just for a few milliseconds until the shutter sound. The processing continues but you can move the phone around at that point. You're over-exagerating how long it takes. You're clearly an iPhone fan and it comes through a bit too much. You may get more popular if you're a bit more unbiased. Just saying.
Android phones are known for taking longer taking photos than iPhone this is nothing new what I don’t get is why when anyone here on UA-cam gives iPhone the win people in the comments call them biased? He mentioned several times you have to really pixel peep to see the differences and he gave the pixel the win in several photos specially on the white balance part, I have an iPhone 15 pro max and honestly this year they released a great camera, pixel too I prefer most of the pixel photos myself and Samsung will probably beat both when it comes out, can we all stop being fanboys and accept nowadays no matter what phone you get out of these main 3 you’re getting an excellent camera?
Great comparsion. What's your opinion about the other things like Battery? I test both and the Standby drain on the pixel in WLAN is huge 😮
Didn’t test it enough to judge the battery life))
When I picked up a Pixel 8 pro and opened the camera app and switched to the camera I was shocked that the camera viewer staggered, gizz I thought these freezes had vanished with the latest processors, or..in Europe the processor is slower
your review is easily the best on youtube. Really well done review. I just wish you had more full res raw photos to compare from the main sensor but all-in-all, amazing review
Thanks a lot! If I were to compare raw as well - the video would be like 45 min 😅
genuine question could the over sharping on video on the pixel video be a result of moire patterns on textures?
Nope) it’s a different thing)
For me, it was undoubtedly your best video of the year, a little large, but complete, detailed, honest, without being biased... congratulations!
Please! PLEASE! Do a comparison like this of the S23 Ultra, now with the new OneUi 6, which seems to be without oversharpening.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate it! I plan on comparing it with S24 ultra when it comes out and also with the latest Xiaomi flagship, so stay tuned
I think you don´t put enough emphasis on Skin tones. iPhone is oversaturated and red-yellowish. That really matters for Photography - more than Pixel-counting.
True. There is high a tendency of getting that Simpsons yellow look on the iPhone photos, especially if you are brown like me. 😅

Could you please tell us the iso at 21:19 for Both? Looks like iPhone always bumps up the iso for shorter shutterspeeds
Also 20:55 would be very intresting to know shutter and iso
It’s shot with the native app, so the phone decides by itself and in the metadata the data is incorrect unfortunately, otherwise I’d show it on the screen

Looking for a good app to shoot manual mode for iphone. Iphone seems to higher the iso more then most phones.
Dont forgett to use the setting in iphone if you are using it beside youtube, dont letting it lower the shutterspeed than what you did decide by yourself so it sometimes look choppy in bad light.

As a "professional" you should have used the pro mode in pixel so we can see what it does. Like u did the log on iPhone. If u can adjust the pics to your liking with the pixel, then the iPhone is obsolete in pics. Any other phone other than iPhone don't get the love iPhones do from these "pros". The same thing with xperia 1 V and S23 ultra with two pro modes. No one talk about it. Wait till the iPhone gets one next year, then all the comparisons comes flowing . Smh
It's still shit. Google can do better next year.
Make a video comparison of Apple log and MotionCam raw video. It’s been updated with few features. And I’m really curious how does Apple log compares to raw. Maybe pixel will redeem itself with raw video where there won’t be sharpening

Bro, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can take 12 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. But iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro can only take 10 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. Why ?
I don't have an iPhone, so can anyone please let me know if you turn ProRaw in 12 megapixel instead of 48 megapixel, can it take 12 bit photos ?
I'm curious about this because, 12-bit = 68 billion colours. But, 10-bit = 1.07 billion colours. That's a huge difference.
If iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro cannot take 12 bit photos, that seems to be a huge downgrade !

The Pixel is not perfect, especially in video, it is in my opinion very average.
On the other hand, I can't understand how the so-called ''professional'' photographer/videographer manage to find iPhones so exceptional in photo-video 🤔
With iPhones, 90% of the time, the white balance is off, the colorimetry is almost always warm, but above all, the rendering of skin tones is 100% bad in video...
The only thing that today can make me use an iPhone in video is the addition of the Log on the 15 Pro, it's really the savior of iPhones in video.
Ps: UA-camrs are always talking about the post-production options of iPhones, it would be nice if they put the same energy into talking about the post-production and Manual/Pro Mode options available on Android smartphones like Sony, Galaxy, Vivo, Xiaomi ...
Log is a game-changer 100%
Do these Androids have log shooting? Do they render videos without too much artificial sharpening? You answer and you'll know why the iPhone reigns overall.
There's a reason why pros use the iPhone alongside their dedicated cameras.

At least some people can distinguish between details and over-sharpening. I have a Pixel, and it has a tendency to be noisy even during daylight. I thought newer sensors would have fixed it. But no, they are still excessively brightening the shadows in backlit images to get "best dynamic range" but it is super noisy. Also, the photos come out so contrasty. And the irony is that even though there is dual exposure slider, bumping up the shadow before capturing doesn't give you the photo that you think you'll get, based in the camera preview. It just like pulling up shadows but darkening the blacks. It is gross. Even when capturing RAW, the high contrast is baked into it. But, it is still salvageable. Video noise on the other hand, is terrible in most lighting conditions. No wonder they are bringing Video Boost and Night Sight Video. But unfortunately, apparently only P8P is getting those.
I've tested in the store. So weird, it couldn't focus on my girlfriend face on 2x and 3x. And the selfie was super over sharpened creating a dramatic look in the face. I am keeping my Galaxy S22+ for now.
The worst camera on the pixel is the selfie camera but you didn't tell us how the pixel slow mode is as bad as you said
In my opinion flim makers and photographers should stick to Dslr's not mobile cameras.
100%
Hmm in never saw such bad cut outs on a Potraid with my 15pro max. In many videos the pixel had much worse cutouts than iPhone or Samsung.
Pixel needs to stop making there workers make bot profiles to defend there brand. fix these dam phones and give us what we payed for and not only google im talking about all androids. i been on iphone and now have a google pixel 8 pro. Had samsung in the past and they all are the same. And since then people been talking about iphones but most likely never tried it nor tested it. I tested it for years and this is my first google pixel the name doesnt mean anything its just like the other androids. Color accuracy is my main complain everything from color looks fake maybe true to life but fake to my eyes. The obly thing i like about this phone compare to the iphone is texting. its acually pleasing texting on this pixel and the call features those also work. People need to start being honest and these tech reviewers be too nice towards andriods. instead of saying the truth, they beat around the bush to make this seem like a tuff competition for the views and the money if i had to be honest no phone deseves to be 1000$ and sadly if iphone is 1000 then andriod should sell for half of that because there camera is not showing me what i am seeing so how can i look back at that monment and belive its real fantasy are good but real is real fantasy or close to fake and thats what you dont want.
Again, since you're an apple guy you may not know, but you can make any photo into a portrait on the pixel using google photos since 2021. Iphone just added this feature, but its been available for the pixel. You can take 50 mp shots in 5x and add portrait for a ridiculous photo.
I always knew pixel had a problem with video. Thanks for the affirmation. I have the pics of six pro and I was going to upgrade. I learned my lesson after upgrading from the 5 to this phone that the video just will never be as good as Apple
Great job 🫶
Thanks mate) stay tuned!
I much prefer Pixel's colour science. I'm glad I'm a photo guy. And videos in good lighting still look good on Pixel, regardless of your narration.
Having said that, I think there's something majorly wrong with the way Pixel digitally zooms when recording videos. I assume it doesn't do any pixel binning for videos. It doesn't look like it's really taking advantage of the 50 MP sensors. It's really bad.
Some of the difference in quality between the Pixel's photos and videos are likely due to the performance limitations of the Tensor chip. The option for cloud processing makes this pretty obvious.
I dare to say that is the best comparison on the internet! Every camera mode, video, day, night, front, rear, tripod, handheld, contrast, colors, HDR, stabilization, everything in a comparison. This is the definition of a test! Excellent job! (Also to Apple. Best smartphone of 2023 yet)
Thanks a lot) I wish more people could see it… but for some reason UA-cam algorithm doesn’t seem to like my channel lately 🙃
Even though the pixel produce more color accurate photos the iphone has an attractive photo like no edits to be needed you can upload it right away.. the warm photos kinda helps the picture alive than the neutral color of pixel..
Just different colour profiles IE Fuji, canon and Sony cameras all have different colour profiles, same can be said for mobile phone photography
Kinda biased. ignoring all the things and aspects, this guy zooms in and comes down noise and detail reduction in every possible part in video section. Some sections you can easily judge yourself how he leans towards the other phone. Hope you notice it. Have a nice day.
Edit : If someone needs genuine camera reviews, They should Just try checking the DXO marks pros and cons of both the phone. Thats a pretty nice standard opinion, rather than relying on some videographers subjective opinons.

I have a feeling that all these 'pro photographers/ videographers" make sure that before posting an iPhone 15 Pro camera review they make sure they do their best to make the photos and video of the iPhone look the best possible over any other phone.
It sure does look odd...
Those are straight out of camera with no corrections on both cameras. I don’t get paid to make one camera look better than the other, I make those videos out of pure curiosity and trying to be as neutral as possible, so stop throwing in you bullshit theories please
@@NOlimitsON but, but the iphone lol 😆
I used Androids before and recently switched to an iPhone 15 Pro and I can easily see why the iPhone sets the bar.
@@mamamia601 I'm the other way around. I have been an Apple user since the iPhone gen one and I agree Apple on the hardware side dominates. But now in 2023 Google has the upper hand when it comes to software and cameras and of course AI. And AI is no longer the feature it's actually here now. Google focuses on actual useful innovative AI features on their Pixels. While Apple just promises you not to be the green bubble if you commit to their ecosystem.
Lo mejor de lo mejor GOOGLE PIXEL.❤
I actually have both phones, and for photos and video I prefer pixel 8 pro. Especially for night shots. Most people think I'm crazy when I say pixel had better video, but here's why I say pixel even for video. Most are forgetting an important element of video, the sound. When you take video there's sound correct? Well for some reason the iPhone sound when it to sound the quality is not nearly as good as the Pixel. I honestly thought there was something wrong with my iPhone, so we tried with my friends iPhone. Same result. Yes the iPhone video quality is a little better, but it loses when it comes to sound. Just an assumption, but when you take a video you also want good sound quality correct??? Maybe don't overlook this.

Thanks for judging by OVERALL camera package. Pixel winning best camera system in a phone based off daytime main sensor photos has always been my grip. Overall the Pixel camera system lacks in a lot of areas in the camera department, always has. The iPhone has always been solid in both Photos & videos.
I think this video demonstrates why the iPhone sells so well. Although the Pixel excels in some aspects, the overall quality of the iPhone is much more robust. It seems like Apple's minimum criteria are higher compared to other companies
The issue is that the phones are recycled heavily to the point where iterative upgrades are meaningless. In short: Great comparison, but often completely unrealistic, inappropriate commentary. But it's not a bad thing because everyone can see for themselves what they like better.
Most of the shots on pixels looked over sharpened and over processed
Simply turn off the sound and make you own conclusion) if my opinion doesn’t correlate with yours - it doesn’t mean that it’s wrong, it’s simply different)
I tend to agree. There is so much missing information about what the Pixel is capable of. It seems this video is recorded by an iPhone expert who spent a couple of hours with a Pixel.
I have a Pixel 8 Pro and it is capable of some outstanding shots. It is fast to save 50MP images, takes maybe half a second, not "a few seconds"
Portrait mode is capable of up to 3x, yes it would be great if they enable 5x also and iPhone has always been the king of portraits, but for the love of God why does iPhone 99% of the time make the colour balance so warm. I like warmer than normal photos, but not to the point of being yellow. No mention of this?
Pixel may over sharpen a bit in some cases, but compared with earlier pixels I think they've done a great job on this. iPhone images have a lot more noise in shadows, some may call this detail but I call it noise and find it bad.
Overall both have great cameras, but Pixel is nowhere near as bad as this video makes it out to be. Also once you capture some sharp 20x or 30x shots you'll be blown away, yes at those zoom levels you need a very steady hand, but try shooting at 500mm+ hand-held with any camera and you'll soon realise just how well the Pixel copes.
@@Mark..01 have u seen the speed tests? It takes forever to export and process videos on pixels . Their processors are very underpowered. First of all it should have released with the phone and it’s not even the device processing the nightsight video, it’s processsed by the cloud. Your telling me in order to get good looking videos on the pixel I have to use nightsight video which is not even processed on device which means it’s gonna take forever to process. @@simply6162 ??? Terrible many photos. but videos better then pixel.
Pixel way better....iphone is so common and so boring....all iphone are same...lol...
Did you even watch the video 😅?
Typical reply of idiots who doesn't know anything about photography in general.
I prefer pixel. iPhones produce yellow photos and there's no manual pro mode to choose your own settings
As if that can't be changed via tweaks in white balance, which is far easier to adjust than an image loaded with artificial sharpening.
The IPhone 15 pro max blows away the competition right now. Especially portrait shots with the 5x lens.
iPhone way better.🎉🎉🎉
The results from Pixel are very, very disappointing. What a step backwards. I hope Google and Team Pixel are paying attention to this and put out some fixes before word starts spreading that Pixels are no longer good at video.
The Pixel is great for photos, but it cannot compare with the iPhone in terms of video recording. Disappointing.
Why don't you be the Apple salesman?! It's ridiculous how you shoot with Pixel.
😂😂
