Vivo took it overall but video is just a sliver below the other 2 but when it comes to night time the vivo is👑 in photo and video. Great comparison!
I’ve got to say you make great camera comparisons test on these phones, I’d like to see how the S24U will handle this type of tests. You’re vid will greatly affect which I will buy as my next purchase
Surprised you didn't include Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. I have the s23 Ultra, but recently bought Vivo x100 Pro. Have been really enjoying the x100 pro. Love the camera! The s23 ultra has become my backup phone now. From your photos, pretty much like you, I picked most of the x100 Pro as my favs. The details with the tele, the color, the ability to suppress highlight yet keep the scene (or the subject's face) reasonably bright with enough details. Keep up the good work.

its oversharpened lol. it was bad, bad. colours were over-saturated and the sharpening were too much .
video still iphone is king.. vivo came close in second.

Excellent comparison with blind test too. Covering every type of situation, well done. New subscriber here! Vivo is overall winner to me, one thing I like is that black things are black, not grey. Flagships usually light up dark shades too much.

Very nice way to give us this comparison through this semi-blind test, seen some videos of you before , subscribing keep up the good work. Half of the first test in these rooms with the complex lighting I chose almost exclusively Pixel 8 Pro. The rest of the video with HDR scenes and selfies (they looked more organic and natural to me) almost exclusively Vivo X100 Pro. And almost every single video I chose iPhone. See a pattern here?

3:00 Vivo x100 Pro. Great balance in lighting between the face and the lights while keeping the photo looking natural and crisp
3:34 iPhone 14 Pro Max. Deeper and more vivid colors while looking detailed
3:49 VIVO X100 PRO. Not overly saturated but vibrant colors. It also looks very detailed. Would've gone with the iPhone 14, but it looked really dull
4:23 Pixel 8 Pro. Better-looking colors. The exposure is just good enough it doesn't come out unnecessarily bright like the center photo. The light is well balanced throughput the photo
4:44 Pixel 8 Pro. The photo captures light quite well from the darker areas i can even see detail on your shoes. Your dark clothing is well lit it just looks natural to me. The center photo looks orange/yellowish for some reason. The warm color aside it's on par with the Pixel 8 Pro in this scene
4:59 VIVO X100 PRO. it handled the bright lights behind you way better while keeping you looking natural, well illuminated and crisp.
5:11 I'd say it's a draw between 14 Pro Max and Pixel 8 Pro. They're opposites of each other. 14 pro max has the background looking well saturated while the subject's clothes look a little washed out in color. A bit of noise on him too. The Pixel is the complete opposite. Background doesn't look colorful while the subject looks vibrant.
6:05 I'd go with the 14 Pro Max because it looks true to life. I don't mind the noise, it looks aesthetically pleasing. The rest especially the vivo photo looks like an AI generated duck. Lost a lot of detail it looks too smooth.
7:10 15 Pro Max had the best stabilization. The motion is much smoother and the quality is consistent through walking, jogging and running.
7:57 I'm going with the 14 Pro Max. It deals with individual objects in term of color much much bett while still looking crsip and not over exposed. The vivo photo has that pink color of the leaf on the bike spread out all over the image.
8:38 VIVO X100 PRO photo looks more fitting for a sunset lighting. Although some areas are a little too dark.
9:29 VIVO X100 PRO. Really vibrant and deep colors. Very good HDR and has the best focus with a natural looking background blur

Waiting for my Vivo X100 PRO.. Like I have been saying for several years..The Samsung And iPhon are all hype, and always have been in my opinion. They have been pushed the hardest by advertising and that is why they have sold so well...

Pixel 8 pro for over 80% of the photos followed by vivo x100 pro...video i would choose pixel 8 pro too , google really knock it out of the park this year with the inprovements in the video department...

not much actually the x100 is a great phone too the only difference is the x100 pro has a better telephoto lens
so it excels in zoom shots and night mode

Vivo is the best!
For me it was the Pixel 8 Pro for all videos except one, in the AI gallery it wasn't always spot on, but it did a very good job, I'd say the Vivo shined really good in there. With macro and telephoto shots also the Vivo. In daytime shots i prefer the Pixel. With portrait mode shots it was also really good. Which is a huge step forward since that was the 7 Pro's big flaw.
Doesn't anyone talk about how bad the pixel 8 pro's battery is? Not to mention the camera rattle, it sounds like a rattle

For whoever has used vivo x pro series in the past, x100 pro being the winner is just no surprise. It has been that good since x60 series

Every time I pick a photo, it was either 8 pro most of the time or 14 pro max, and Vivo in rare case and 8 pro kills the competition in video segment tbh

Is there anybody who can answer this question? I live in the UK where Vivo X100 pro is not available. I obviously prefer to buy it from the company so that I have Warranty. Whats the difference between the Chinese brand and general global releases? I think what I'm trying to establish is, if I import it, am I going to incur issues as far as network bandwidth etc?
It was released in Europe in Austria sold by MediaMarkt or Czech Republic sold by Alza Cz at €1199 and it's currently discounted 10% at €1079
Or you can wait for the Ultra variant which will be announced at the end of April and it will have a 200MP periscope camera

When it comes to portraits, macro, night photography and zoom Vivo x100 pro is class above all other smartphones at the moment. It is without of a doubt the best phone for taking pictures. iPhone is still in the league of their own in video category. I sold my 14pro max for x100 pro, best decision ever.
The Vivo kept the photos very over sharpened of which it was picked to be the winner in most cases because it provided the most amount of detail, but in photography
Over sharpening is considered to be a loss of points, pictures should be soft enough with at least an accurate amount of details, so I think the pixel and the iphone did very well with most dynamic range photos🔥

The Pixel camera, surprisingly has emerged very well here 😃 On top. The Vivo is very good but tends to oversharpen like the Pixel in some images. This is a problem for video shooting. I don't know how to edit video so it would be nice if it comes out perfect. The iPhone, well, this is really unexpected! I've actually tested it (though not as thoroughly and beautifully as this!!) myself but it is clearly third here! ?? I'd have to say it's the Pixel that wins this one but if you factor in the price, the Vivo wins hands down for value. If price is not a factor, then the camera on the Pixel wins this one... for me. For sure. It 'should' be the iPhone, but it isn't. The Vivo has excellent hardware all round and I'll probably go for either this one or the Pro Plus but please know that the Vivo has one shortcoming. The display is not bright enough despite the 3000 nits claim. It's barely brighter than my Pixel 6 Pro which is surprising, considering that it is otherwise, a 10/10 phone. Having said that I love the Vivo display as it's very 'revealing' at ~ 450 ppi and I edit photos on my phone so it works for me. In fact I do EVERYTHING on my phone so the CPU and RAM are definitely a factor and the Pixel's Tensor just isn't powerful enough. It has also become too expensive for a phone with flaws.
i will consider vivo x100 for my next upgrade. i believe its much cheaper than the iphone too.

vivo>pixel>iphone 🤯🤯🤯 Pixel and iPhone are trading blows and are very good camera phones. But I tend to choose the VIvo in the blind tests than the other 2.

In most cases I liked pixel, in some cases iPhone and for zoom and macro I prefer Vivo.
