  • Tony Visconti invites us into his studio to demonstrate how he uses the Tverb plug-in on one of his original productions. Inspired by the lush room reverbs on David Bowie's "Heroes", this triple reverb has three moveable mics within a room modeled on the legendary Meistersaal at Berlin’s Hansa Tonstudios. Developed by Tony Visconti and Eventide, Tverb gives you the ability to configure incredible reverbs for any source.

I used to use something like this for matching acoustic room ambience for film dialogue overdubs… creating impulse responses from the actual room and applying it to the adr dialogue… and sounds spot on!!!

"..bass player.. i'll do weddings, bar mitzvahs, anything." 😂 love tony's humility and obvious passion for anything and everything musical.

Very good video. Now to see when they implement scalable graphics to Tverb.

Thanks Tony for sharing this interesting and very versatile way of working with T-Verb! It's a fantastic sound, and a great approach to embellishing a great recording!

Sounds really great and I am going to add it to my large set of other Eventide plugs. I wish Tony had put the tracks he affected back in the mix. They sound great in solo of course, but it would be fun to hear them in context. Anyway, I know it’s going to be great so I’m buying it (on sale) anyway. Cheers

magari background voice on Heroes and presumably "the kiss" in Heroes... Tony You are a myth, from the bass line You wrote for " the width of a circle" to making Lynott stand up and play when he was fucked up as shit...

At 8:33 ''I'm pressing the talkback button'' LOL. Eventide should make Tony a talkback button to carry around with him everywhere he goes, you know, just so he feels like he's really being heard. Oh, man, Tony.... take a break, man. You seriously need a vacation, just a few days, maybe fit in some psychotherapy time while you're out. It'll all be there when you get back :P
Great sounding verb with a lot of functionality. Glad Eventide put this together and honored the guy who pioneered such ambience.

Can we say that it is similar to use the mid-side technique with two mics?
