for a beginner this machine is perfect, very easy too use, i spent many hours with it before I upgraded too my Garrett, really great for kids too, I had a blast with it

i have this detector. one thing that bothers me is that if you reject the first two(iron, al zinc) you're going to pass all the gold rings. i didnt know this until i was lucky enough to find a gold ring, but only because it was in the hole with two dimes. so if you have hope for gold you pretty much gotta dig every signal. but all in all i still love the detector its my first one and i use it as much as i can. a little nervous to try it in the water though... will it be ok if i take it to the beach, do you know? thanks for the vid!
This is a very good review thank you for your reply! I have used this in water and it did no harm to the machine. I did not dig but I did find signals in the creek bed. Please research further but I believe it is fine in the water.

Well be careful at historical sites as many are protected. make sure to get permission from the land owner wherever you hunt. but this detector is fine for the gumshoe sleuth.
Oh man, that should be on the surface and probably has a little copper and aluminum so I would just scan with no discrimination. Just need a flashlight and maybe a pinpointer and scan the surface where you think it might be around. Good luck!
My bounty hunter works great for prob 5 min then it goes crazy beeping and the signal on the screen goes crazy all across the screen. I put new batterys in it they’re new. Any thoughts anybody???
Is the cord that connects the coil to the top part of the detector wrapped tightly? Are you in an area full of wires overhead? Check the message boards I have heard this problem frequently.
NKY DIY I got it figured out. The battery’s I got was not Alkaline battery’s. I got Duracell Alkaline battery’s and it’s working fine now. Thank you for your response. I wrapped the wire around it to.
The battery life depends on if you buy a good or a cheap battery. A good battery will last 2-3 months with active hunting. I use rechargeable 9 volt batteries I got on amazon a 4 pack with the charger for about $22. This is the way to go......... and yes, this metal detector will find silver if you are looking in the right places.

It really is a trusty little machine. I like the set it to either only coin or no discrimination at all.

I found a 1894 half dollar with mine and it was over six inches down !!!! love mine have found all kinds of coins !!
