I had 1.6 meters of rain here in Townsville, I have been removing rotting leaves from my orchids, so I totally get where you are coming from as today hit 36ºc, which is somewhat insane considering this time last week, The streps should come back, it just may take a little while for them to look their best again.
that is a shame, I was worried about my orchids on Tuesday it got to 41 degrees in NSW but so far so good, have u tried to put a weak solution of seaweed solution to pep them up?

What a day you had! I wouldn't have known what to do other than cry but you handled it so well. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}

Dear Lord,
I know that this was filmed at least a year ago, but this is a nightmare! Glad that they recovered. 😬
Oh dear.... but so pleased they seem to have recovered.
Yes, they have.....I'd say I was lucky just caught them in time.

Yes, I have used the seaweed stuff, it's pretty good.
Glad they made a comeback!
But but........ mine always look a bit like that!
Could be your heat Lynn.......maybe keep them in a bright shade and on a tray of wet gravel for some humidity.......good luck.
The poor dears transpired more they drank so they got dehidrated. It is good that they are recuperating and bouncing back😁
So sorry
